I was disappointed when the product arrived. The website says that it works with Mini SD cards and the packaging says also. But niether say that you need an adapter. Then finally when you cut open the plastic and read the instructions, it has an asterisk and says "Mini SD needs an adapter which is not included with the product." What a waste of time.

Belkin 15N1 Card Reader Reads Everything+Lifetime Warranty.......2007-04-16

I've been using this 15N1 card reader with my G5 PowerMac, iBook, and PowerBook, and it's worked 100% great for the past year. Like most Belkin products, it comes with a Lifetime Warranty, so you're covered forever against defects, problems. It always mounts my SD Cards and CompactFlash Cards instantly, and the "On" or "Activity Light" is big and bright, so you know when data is being accessed. I was surprised at its size: it's about 3" x 1.5" by .5" so it's very compact considering all the types of media it can take. The Mini-USB plug-in port is on the back, not the side, which is a good design. The Mini-USB to Device Plug-in cord is 6 feet long, which is complete overkill but excellent...I've never seen a card reader with a 6 ft cord before! There's a plug-in port for powering the reader up, although there's no AC/DC converter furnished. Apparently that's an option, though not required for use. In my experience it works great off of the USB 2.0 bus power. 5 Stars for this one!

Compact, fast and looks good on my desk. Works well for all cards but doesn't recognize SD cards 2GB and larger. I wish I would've known that when I bought it last year. I contacted customer support to see if I could exchange for a newer version or if they had a firmware fix. No on both. They just said it doesn't support 2GB or larger cards.

Awesome card reader, but 2GB not supported.......2007-04-20

I've been using this card reader for 2 years. I use it daily and enjoy it very much. I bought a 2GB SD card for my Treo and unfortunately this card reader will not work with it. The 2GB card works in my Treo and on my Compaq Laptop (Texas Instruments chipset). So I called Belkin tech support and the rep was very familiar with this type of call. He said there is nothing he can do for me at this time, Belkin products do not support 2GB yet. Oh well.

New Revision available that supports 2GB+ SD.......2007-03-16

Belkin now has the Revision 3 (three) of the product available which supports 2GB SD Cards. Check if you have a little sticker on the bottom of your cardreader.

I contacted technical support if the product number and asked "guess what my problem is", Support guessed right and assumed its the 2 GB SD problem and offered an exchange free of charge.

I give Belkin a big plus for the hassle free exchange, however a similar big minus for selling outdated products in the first place and hoping no one notices. Therefor, three stars.

If you want to use any card over 1GB with a card reader, don't get this one!

In no literature does it say that it can't read anything over 1GB, but it can't. Buyer beware!

I do highly recommend Verbatim 15 in 1. It reads my 2GB MiniSD just fine.

With the size of memory cards going up and up, you don't want to be stuck with a reader that doesn't support > 1GB size cards. And no, they don't tell you that it doesn't support > 1GB in their product literature or manual. Note that I checked with Belkin Tech Support (who I must admit replied relatively quickly). I was a big fan of this card when i got it. It sits in my otherwise unused expresscard slot on my Macbook Pro, and I never had to worry about having my USB cable or a USB reader for my digital camera.

Unfortunately, I just bought a new SD Card (SanDisk SDSDH-2048-901 2 GB Ultra II Secure Digital Memory Card (Retail Package)) and it doesn't recognize it. The same card works fine with a USB reader on the same computer.

Great Reader with Compatible Cards.......2007-08-01

Had this reader for over 6 months. Works great most of the time. Cannot support anything higher than 1GB on SD cards, though I wonder if this is really a limitation on this card reader or on the Mac Book Pro.

Also, Amazon's description of compatible cards may be incomplete. Here's what the packaging says on compatible cards: xD-Picture Card, MultiMediaCard (MMC), Secure Digital (SD), miniSD, TransFlash, and Memory Stick.

Beware this product!.......2007-07-09

The Belkin F5U213 card reader does not recognise a 4GB SanDisk ULTRA II SD HC card. No problem with a 128MB Sandisk SD card - its icon immediately pops up on the desktop.
Quite hopeless as the only reason the Belkin's Expresscard Multimedia Reader was purchased was to conveniently transfer images from a Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX2 digital camera. Belkin's website has no information.

I'm using this card reader with a MacBook Pro and it's been working perfectly from the first day I got it. No issues with the computer not going to sleep etc. The transfer rates are way better than with USB. Great product!

It works with one of my 1G memory sticks (SanDisk ) but not the other (Lexar). Both memory sticks work fine in my camera. Update: Today I found that it will not recognize my 1G SanDisk SD card. Not a dependable product.

The XP-779 portable CD player was fairly easy to set up, especially using its car or AC adapter. The only glitch we hit was that turning the unit on wasn't that intuitive. You have to slide the "Hold" switch to "Off" to begin playing CDs. The backlighted LCD display was easy to read, even in a dark car.

The XP-779 comes with an outstanding array of output and power adapters. With the included headphones, you can use it plugged into the wall with the AC adapter or running on regular or rechargeable batteries. The unit also includes a DC car adapter and cassette connector that routes the audio through your cassette player and car speakers. The unit can recharge its own rechargeable Nicad batteries, which made it easy to maintain (you will have to buy those batteries separately, however). The battery indicator was another handy feature. There's nothing worse than slipping in your favorite CD at work and finding you're out of power.

It also boasts a wide range of advanced play features. We especially liked the Resume feature, which lets you pick up where you were when you switched the unit off. We were able to program up to 24 tracks, and we liked being able to use the repeat feature during program play. The electric anti-shock system (EASS PLUS) seemed to reduce the incidences of skipping, even over bumpy gravel roads. Overall, the XP-779 was a superb machine to carry along in the car, during exercise, or at work. Its light weight and rechargeable capabilities made it a pleasure to listen to CDs anywhere.

it's a great little player ive had mine sense 1998 and it's been working great ever sense, it just died today on me though. but it's ok. i decided to buy another one just because i know i'll get my money's worth. i've to dropped mine.slammed it. kicked it.. and just beat it. but it's a great product and a good buy..

Great Player.......2001-07-12

The Aiwa CD player is one of the best that I have purchased. I have had it for almost 4 years now. It plays CD-R's as well as regular CDs. The sound quality is good, and for those of you that like volume and bass this model will satisfy. I've dropped it, bounced it and it's incredibly hard to get it to skip. (Though it did skip when it hit the floor from the treadmill.) The silver body does get scratched up pretty easily, though that really only messes up the aesthetics and not the sound quality. THe car kit is complete and easy to use. The backlight display is very helpful in the dark.

I bought this product after reading online reviews. Originally I was in the market for a Sony. When I read how satisfied others were with the Aiwa XP-779, I changed my mind. I bought it over a year ago and haven't a complaint! The anti-shock system is excellent! I never found the features difficult to operate, it seemed simple to me. Also, the rechargeable battery function is priceless! I just charge them up before I go away and leave the other attachments at home! If you want a reliable cd player, buy this one, you won't regret it!

Works fine for price but you get what you pay for. Tape adaptor broke after 2 months. Sound quality is average. Often when it skips it shuts off. No backlit display.
