Installing the Voodoo3 2000 was a snap as the manual walks you step by step through the process. We tested the Voodoo3 2000 on a 333-MHz Celeron system with DirectX 6.1 at resolutions of 640 x 480 and 800 x 600. (Our 14-inch monitor couldn't handle much more). The card managed an impressive 47.3 frames per second at 800 x 600 in our Quake II time demo, and 51.4 frames per second at 640 x 480--very near 3dfx's claim of 60 frames per second.
We would love to see 3dfx support 32-bit color at some point in the future, especially since Quake III will support true-color textures. Additionally, 3dfx's Voodoo cards only support a 256 x 256 texture size, which will result in a decrease in image quality once game manufacturers begin supporting 2,048 x 2,048 texture sizes. However, 3dfx's advantage at this point lies in its proprietary Glide API (application program interface) and clout within the 3-D graphics-card arena. These factors are enough to make the Voodoo3 2000 card a number one choice for those seeking the most intense gaming experience around.

Great video card, beautiful graphics and a gem from it's time........2006-12-12
I purchased this card for My Compaq computer back in 1998, and it still is going. Out of date for XP, it still works on my computer using 95b, and would work on 98SE as well. Great smooth graohics, it really spead up the processing time of that old computer when I put it in, releiving the drain on RAM memory. Great for those older computers you may have, a gemm of its time, now out of date as technologies improve and software changes. Absolutely recommend it.

I bought this for my old compac 200mhz pentium processor when it was "state of the art" back in 1997 or so (running windows 1995). 16mb cards were the best you could do at the time. This thing blew the competition out of the water at the time, and is still by far the best graphics card I have seen for computers the age of my old system. I was the first one to have it in a circle of 4 friends, who within 3 weeks all had voodoo3 3000 agps because our 2000 was so good. Flawless, skipless graphics and capatibillity beyond compare at the time with great games like need for speed and nascar legends. This thing did it all. A year or so later, they came out with the 3000 pci, but I was already in love with this unit. A must have for older computer systems.
Still Have It.......2001-12-01
I've had the Voodoo3 2000 on my pc for the past 2 years and still can't seem to have the need to change it to something else.
I'm a heavy on-line gamer and am very happy with this video card. Just have to work the jagged edges on some games though. Other than that, I have no regrets owning one.
Excellent for mid level gamers (I guess).......2001-03-30
Like many others writing reviews for this card, I too had an integrated AGP on the motherboard. Installing this card was not much of a problem. Make sure after your first round of installation, you download the latest drivers from the 3dfx site. The card provides excellent enhancements for most games which I play- currently Alice in Wonderland and Real Myst. Both are fairly graphic intensive games. And the card provides wonderful support. However I am not in a position to speak for people who plan to play games with extraordinary frame rate requirements. Anyways the only reason you would be buying this card is if you dont have an AGP slot on your motherboard and your game requirements are not excessive and you are on a budget. Given these three requirements I think this used to be an excellent solution. Is it still an excellent solution? Remember the company has closed down which means customer support will be minimal with no future software upgrades. If you are worried about that you should probably think about the new Hercules Prophet Geforce PCI card released very recently with 32 MB RAM. Amazon is not selling it as yet for some reason. ....
Good Card (emphasize good).......2001-03-28
This is a great workhorse card, it tackles any driver I came across. It didn't work with a few games I had and I couldn't find a patch for some of them, but it worked pretty well otherwise. It isn't blazing fast and doesen't have all of the bells and wistles, but with it's 16mb's it will be running games sufficiently for a long time to come. You'll get your money's worth with this card.

pros: good concept, works with existing phones, once you get past buggy initial setup, it works well... remote dial in is a genius concept (if they can make it work with your ans machine)
cons: PC needed and must be on at all times... software is buggy..(the software that comes with disk defaults to wrong voice driver all the time).. need to d/l new sware from manuf website. Does not work with your existing answering machine... (either PC receives call or the machine).

I have this box and it works like a charm, it's Vista compatible and it autoupdates its software! Besides that, it's cheap.
I have other boxes and they do not support Vista, they do not update its software and the worst, you can't use newer Skype versions with it, so this one rocks and it's the best option to buy.

Vosky worked great for several months. When Skype upgraded their software the Vosky sofware was not compatable. Vosky customer support offered several different solutions, but thus far none have worked.
Each time you contact their customer support, you must fill out a new problem report form. I am about ready to throw Vosky in the trash.
Skype Connector that works.......2007-08-17
When I tried looking for Skype to Phone connectors there were not that many products available and no reviews so I just went with the most expensive one. Sadly it used to drop calls after 10 minutes without any explanation. Then someone recommended Actiontec Vosky and I have been using it since with great success.
The only issue that I am investigating is that my cordless phone is the only one hooked device hooked up to Vosky and no actual phone line connected but the phone shows a voicemail message which does not go away and causes beep every few minutes which is annoying during conversations.
Very poor product, renders Skype almost unusable if installed........2007-08-09
VoSKY Call Center looks good on paper, but the software is extremely bad and the product is almost unsupported by Actiontec.
Software bugs make it so that I can use skype when this product is installed less than 5% of the time, so installing this makes skype essentially useless.
Bugs I have encountered include randomly crashing Skype, automatically changing Skype sound card settings to incorrect values (ensuring it cannot work), hanging up Skype calls with a phone line disconnected message, even though there is no line disconnect (and even though the phone line is not being used so it should not matter), incompatibility with basic Windows features like fast user switching, incompatibility with non-administrator Windows users, requirement that you be logged into Windows to use, and so much more.
I strongly recommend against purchasing this product, and from this experience I personally plan to avoid all Actiontec products. I've had this product for almost a year, and the defects have actually become worse with the few software updates they have done in that time (a few bugs fixed, but more bugs added with each release).

GREAT CORDLESS PHONE .......2007-09-20
THIS PURCHASE WAS FOR A REPLACEMENT BASE STATION MODEL AT&T EP5995, as my old system was ruined by a lightning strike. Use of a phone line surge protector would have prevented this.
I have had this system for a few years - I really like it's clarity, the digital recording, and the use of several cordless units. Great product.

I just picked up this phone and one expansion phone as our home isn't big enough to warrant more than that. I was slightly apprehensive based on a few reviews I read here but this phone is of very high quality and is working and sounding great. Tried the speaker phone out, and like someone else said the person I was speaking to didn't know they were on speaker until I told them. I had no problems setting this phone up either. To expand to an extra phone, you just push the button to do so (once the extra phone is charged) and the main base and new phone talk to one another and take care of the rest. If you can navigate and make use of the features on your cell phone you fill find the menu and features on this phone to be very intuitive. I don't know what others were talking about when they said they wished this phone had a plain ringtone rather than the musical ones- there are at least 8 "normal" ring sounds before you get to the musical tones in the menu. Another piece of information I wasn't able to find prior to purchase was whether or not this phone was headset compatible- I can confirm that it has a jack for a 2.5 mm headset. This is a nice landline phone and I think we'll be enjoying it for years to come!
A Great Phone System.......2007-08-08
I deliberately selected this phone system because we were very pleased with an earlier model. For me me the best features are a very clear signal and an intuitive menu with a clear menu screen. I would have been happy to have a non-color screen, but the colors and customization possibilities are very pleasing. You can get up to 6 handsets to strew about your home/workplace if needed. Call answering, intercom feature, caller id, directory, are all very useful.
No better range than my 2.4GHz phone but great features.......2007-07-28
I am disappointed that the range we have with this new 5.8GHz phone is no better than the 2.4 it replaced. BUT we are still very pleased with it and would recommend it. The answering machine works well and the overall sound quality of the whole unit is very good. The extension phone I also purchased works well but, in my view, is significantly overpriced as compared to the base unit/answering machine. A clever marketing ploy, much like expensive ink cartridges for inexpensive printers.
Noise static when using Speaker or recording messages.......2007-07-23
The phone quality was great, the conversation was clear but when I recorded an outgoing message there was background static. Same thing when I used the speakerphone when on a call, there was annoying static I could hear and so could the other person on the call.
Going through the 1800 help number took THREE hours. The help desk was having me try silly things like unplugging the phone, taking out the batteries, and move the phone to a different power outlet. All those things might have been logical to try if the static noise was always present indicating the battery was unseated properly or there was electrical interfence on the line. To further prolong this process, I was dropped twice when getting transferred around from person to person.
I finally reached someone helpful to authorize the phone's replacement.
Upon receipt of the returned phone, I was told two weeks to get the new one. I called to confirm receipt of the phone. Two weeks and counting..
