If you use your phone line to connect to the Internet, you'll appreciate this phone's Modem Monitor Connection Protection. The TC920 can tell the difference between data and voice conversations and won't let a voice caller interrupt the data connection of a modem or fax machine.

The phone also features 900 MHz transmission and a digital message recording system, with voice prompts and time-day stamp, storing 20 minutes of messages. The phone claims to have "remote messaging," but in this case, that doesn't mean you can check messages from any phone, only that you can check messages from the cordless handset.

Many Casio phones have seven hours of talk time, but the TC9820 only has five hours of talk time with a seven-day standby. Those with sore necks will, however, appreciate the belt clip and headset included with the phone. Casio provides a one-year warranty.

Horrible phone.......2004-03-05

DON'T BUY THIS PHONE! Hard to hear, fuzzy. Very short headset battery life (JUST A FEW HOURS) and the unit won't ring or record messages if the headset battery is low. So you can't carry this one around the house, take to the garage or yard for very long, that's very annoying.

The unit goes bonkers when there is a power outage (all it's light begin to flash.) If that happens, the unit won't ring and won't record messages until reset. Resetting isn't easy either. A simple turn off-turn back on to reset would have been a nice. Even changing the day/time isn't easy.

The positive is the moden intercept. If you have a single line phone and you accidently pick up phone or are receiving a fax you won't ruin your internet/fax connection. Other phones won't allow you to pick up by mistake thus ruining you internet/fax in progess. If you want to walk around while talking this is fine. It even has a jack for a earphone/microphone and that works great. Just remember to put the phone back in the charger and keep it there when not in use.

One day this one will go sailing out the window. Then I have to buy a new phone, fix a broken window, and endure a tongue lashing from the wife.

DON'T buy it either new or used.

I bought this phone a year ago in white. It is a small phone and ergonomically designed. Fits hand comfortably but when rested between shoulder and ear, to free up my hands, my earlobe always pressed the mute button. The answering machine works fine, and if you have call-waiting, the flash button is a handy feature.
All in all the phone is nice-looking/ergonomic/priced right, and the sound quality is good. Of course, there is a downside to all this. The battery life is HORRIBLE. 2 hours off the cradle and it's dead! I am forced into buying another phone after only a year. If you don't mind keeping this phone on the cradle whenever you aren't using it, it is a great buy. If you are like me and like to have the phone next to you wherever you are in the house, look elsewhere...

Very disappointed.......2001-08-25

I have been very disappointed with my Casio phone experience. The first one I bought was returned in less than 30 days due to mal-function. I was given a second one. It lasted only a few months, working only fairly well. Now, it also has mal-functioned. I have contacted Casio's help line (after MUCH difficulty), only to be told to unplug it and see what happens. I followed instructions and it remained dead as a "door nail." I finally became completely disgusted, unpluged the phone and put it aside to be placed in the garbage. Now, I must buy a new phone and I can assure you that it will not be a Casio! Buyers beware!

The phone is okay, but the sound quality is disappointing and the ringer annoying. It is comfortable to hold between one's head and shoulder. I have not used the ahswering machine.

Advent's Heritage Series H500 loudspeaker poses a stylish, affordable entry to quality music and/or home theater listening. The full-range floorstanding speaker is sold by itself, so pick up 2 (left/right) for starters or buy 4 or 5 for use as surround and/or surround and center speakers.

Use caution when planning the H500's position as a center speaker, as its 42-inch height will conflict with the position of many TVs; a flat-panel television mounted to the wall above and behind a speaker would probably work nicely. Many of today's music-only surround-sound media--such as DVD-Audio, multichannel SACD, and DTS surround CDs--are mixed with 5 or more full-range speakers in mind, so if you have separate music and movie rooms, 5 speakers is the way to go.

The speaker uses a 3-way design with 5 independent drivers: a soft-dome tweeter and a combination of four 4-inch woofers positioned within the speaker enclosure to maximize their efficiency at the required frequency range for each. With 89 dB sensitivity, the speaker should be fairly easy to drive, and Advent recommends use with amplifiers pumping anywhere from 10 to 200 watts per channel.

Advent also recommends standard 16-gauge speaker wire or, ideally, larger 14- or 12-gauge multi-stranded cable for connecting the H500 to your amplifier or integrated amp/surround receiver.

having owned many brands of loudspeakers over the years,this is my first pair of advents.and i could not be happier! a bargain at 200.00 apiece,a steal at anything less. crisp clean highs,nice tight bass.dual sets of gold plated 5-way binding posts.build quality is excellent.these speakers are tall so a little tipsy on thick pile carpet. grilles a little tough to remove but worth time. 5 -4 inch mid-woffers -1 inch dome.stellar looks and sound to match.owners manual is joke,very very vague.do not hesitate to pull the trigger and purchase these beautys.

This computer card was one of the last ones that was released by voodoo prior to being purchased by Nvidia. This thing had it all, and probably can still hang with the lower end ones available right now, with 64mb of memory, 350mhz ram dac ect...One of the best graphics cards ever built. Only the 6000 version of this was bigger, but this was a great one, highly recommended to all who need a decent card for an older system. I have owned the voodoo 3 2000 and the Voodoo3 3500tv, all are still working and excellent, this is also amongst the crowd. Highly recommended.

I had to return this card because it wouldn't fit in the available computer space. So I really did not have a chance to use it. I have an HP 8760C. The card is about 10 inches long. So just make sure you measure the available space.

Amazing Graphics Quality.......2001-10-10

Even before using the Voodoo5's main selling point, the full-scene antialiasing, I was awestruck with the image quality in OpenGL, Glide, and even RAVE games. The 3dfx algorithm for texture smoothing is unparalleled, and their 16-bit support (through the use of 24-bit rendering with a dither-down) is absolutely stunning. (Even so, in OpenGL and RAVE, I run 32-bit because I can't detect a framerate difference doing so.) Once I turned on antialiasing at 4-sample, I just couldn't believe how good all of my games looked. Even now, from owners of GeForce2 and Radeon cards, I get compliments on the appearance of my games. While I do run at 800x600 to keep my framerates up under the strain of antialiasing, I definitely prefer that appearance even over high resolutions like 1600x1200 without antialiasing.
