The Coby CT-P8200 is a 2.4 GHz analog cordless phone with built-in 50 duplex channels. The filtered sound system gets considerably less noise than conventional cordless telephones because of a special circuit which delivers the clearest possible reception. With the 50 channel auto scan, you can easily find and lock on to the clearest channel for any call. Ensure greater privacy with the built-in security code with 65,536 combinations that prevents use of your telephone line by another nearby cordless phone. You can also store up to 20 numbers for convenient speed dial.

The Caller ID with call-waiting feature has 40-name-and-number memory. With the big 3-line LCD display you can view name, number, date and time of calls. You can select a preferred language operation in English, Spanish, and French. Other call features include one touch callback from Caller ID list, private and preferred call indicator, voicemail message waiting indicator, and repeat call indicator.

The base station has an in-use/charge indicator and 9V DC input jack for power. The handset features volume control, auto-standby when headset is placed onto base after conversation, out-of-range indicator, built-in 2.5mm jack for headset, last number redial, flash, pause, and tone/pulse switch. First off, I'm not sure where all these complaints about this product's durability comes from. My Mad Catz controller has lasted me six months, longer than one of the original XBox controllers.

The button setup is slightly different, but in my opinion, easier to get used to.

Don't waste your money........2002-11-01

I purchased two of these controllers to have handy for friends to use when four of us where present and playing Halo and other multi-player games. I personally am very happy with the two Microsoft controllers I initially bought when the system launched, but figured I could save a few bucks by buying the Mad Catz ones since they would only be used by guests. Well I figured wrong. Both Mad Catz controllers' triggers broke after very little use. The springs that provide the tension in the triggers became dislodged. The triggers began to stick or would not depress all the way. While playing Halo your gun would continually fire on its own, and in Nascar heat, you could not get over 50 mph because you could not depress the trigger all the way. I ended up throwing the controllers away and buying two additional Microsoft Controllers, an S and an Original design and have been happy ever since. I would advise spending the extra cash and getting a genuine Microsoft controller. The mad Catz are cheaply made. They don't last long, and have a horrible feel in your hand.

Good comfort - poor quality.......2002-07-31

I have small hands and since I needed a 2nd ctrlr anyways, I figured I'd get something other than the formidable looking stock ctrlr as a second when I bought my xbox less than two weeks ago. I saw the Mad Catz so figured ...cool. Rubber grips and layout of pad is great. I prefer it's "feel" to the stock controller. BUT, and it's a big BUT, reliability is very poor. This one is going back. analog buttons have gotten very sloppy with only moderate to minimal play time (approx 10 hours) and vibration feedback has almost COMPLETELY gone after initially being stronger than the stock MS controller. Now the MS pad is much stronger in feedback and has had only slightly less use. MS controller by the way turned out to be perfectly fine feeling for my hands. Will be returning this one and just get another stock unit. FORGET about this one if you care about reliability.

Avoid this product........2002-05-23

Save your money. I bought two Mad Catz controllers for my Xbox. Both broke (the shoulder trigger buttons). I had to replace them with orginal MS controllers that are much more durable. Judging from other reviews it is a common problem.

The Call Director is AT&T's advanced two-line speakerphone. If you're on Line One when Line Two rings, caller ID/call waiting deluxe tells you who's calling and gives you several options for handling the new call. In addition, the duplex-style speakerphone lets you talk and listen at the same time.

The Call Director has a large LCD screen to present complete caller-ID information for two lines and a symmetrical button layout, which suggests that the phone really is "directing" its two lines.

We were able to set up the phone--install batteries, set the clock, set home and local area codes for caller ID, and program the memory dialing--without consulting the manual. Still, we do suggest reading the manual so you don't miss the many cool features. (For example, we discovered that you can include 30-second pauses in the memory dialing.)

In our test of the Call Director, calls sounded clear and distinct. Switching between lines was easy, and in general, operating the phone was no more difficult than operating a one-line model. We were especially impressed with the speakerphone, which enabled us to talk and listen at the same time--even a television or radio playing in the background did not interfere with our conversation. Though the Call Director isn't technically a full-duplex system--it simply lowers the speaker volume automatically when you're talking--the results are quite spectacular. It rivals full-duplex speakerphone systems that can cost hundreds of dollars more.

The Call Director's impressive performance and features place it among the best in its class. This two-line phone would make an excellent addition to a small business or home office.

Great phone for the price.......2004-07-01

I was pretty suprised at how well this phone worked. I was basically looking for a cheap speaker phone, as I was planning on putting it on mute, listening in on meetings, and picking up the reciever if I had to say something. The sound quality ended up being so good, I use it without the mute. The sound quality both for me and the recieving party is better than the one at my office. The one caviat is that the speaker and mike operate off the power that comes through the phone line. Because of this, if my wife picks up the other line, the sound in both directions becomes very faint. The manual says that this is the case, and says that if you have several phones, this can happen as well. I have 5 phones on the line, and as long as they're all hung up, everything works great.

this phone has all the makings of a great device. very good button layout, all the functionality one should need, a pleasant feel in the hand, an attractive package. BUT IT SUCKS!

the sound is nearly unusable. on the handset, people tell me i sound really quiet. on the speakerphone, they can barely hear me. on the headset, they can't hear me at all. additionally, the speakphone output fades away when there's even a little bit of ambient noise in the room -- this is a common problem with home office phones but it's exceptionally bad on this model.

i've tried returning this phone and getting a new one a couple times but to the same result. i contacted AT&T to see if they could help but they gave me the cold shoulder. it's no use -- this phone is awful.

i really want to like this phone but it can't. i'm only holding on to it until i can find a good, corded, two-line phone that works. any suggestions?

Speak Up! I Can't Hear You!.......2004-01-17

People complain all the time that they can't hear me when I speak on this phone. It does not matter if its the headset or the speaker. I even get cut off by answering machines who think I am not speaking. I do not recommend this phone.

best 2 line caller id corded phone.......2002-09-18

I purchased two of these phones and they work great. I don't see why others don't like the display on all of the time. I like it. That way, you can always see it clearly no matter what the room lighting is. After all, it's lit with LED's that don't draw that much current and don't burn out. My only gripe is I ended up using one in my work room and one in the garage because I decided it was too big and commercial looking to use in the kitchen. I'm still looking for a smaller sleek looking 2 line trimline style caller id phone for the kitchen wall without a speakerphone, with buttons only in the handset, etc. The phone companies keep pushing all of these extra lines. Well, we have them, now they need to give us the phones we need so we don't need all of these stupid line selector and caller id boxes!

Two things that are lousy about this phone........2002-08-04

I purchased this phone primarily for it's speakerphone feature. I work from home a lot and have to dial into conferance calls. Everyone tells me they can't hear me very well at all through the speakerphone. Also, when I pick up the handset and speak into it, people tell me they can't hear me well so I have to put my lips directly on the bottom slits of the handset. This causes the volume in my earpiece to be way too loud so I have to hold it against my lips, but an inch away from my ear. Absurd! I would have returned this phone had I gotten my act together within the 30 day money back window. (Who knows, maybe I got a defected one and I just think they all work like this.) I would try another phone if you are looking for good speakerphone functionality. (The only cool things about it are the mute button, the nice display for Caller ID capabilities and the 2 line functionality).
