Long enough, sturdy enough and goshdarnit, it sticks! .......2007-09-06

This is the second one I bought of these goodnecks--this one was for my father in law who has a Sirius Stiletto. (I love Siriius radio, but the mounts that come with them stink--if the windshield gets too cold or too hot the mount simply loses all suction and falls off, but this isn't about them.)
It's a long enough gooseneck that it can reach across long dashboards ( I have a Nissan Murano) and it's also flexible enough that you can put your radio, gps, radar detector, etc. within good reach. I installed mine about a year ago and it's still exactly where I put it; it has stayed stuck to my windshield over of the bumpy potholed streets of Brooklyn and it has not budged even through the frigid New York winter and the sweltering summer. And it comes off easily when you want it to by releasing the suction with a lever. It will bounce a little bit over rough roads, but you can get around that by resting the goosneck on the dash or something solid, (mine is suspended in the air) but I've never found that to be a problem. The bracket that physically attaches to the your electronic device is fairly universal and should fit most satellite radios, gps units and on. And the price is right! My advice if you're on the fence...get it!

XM Roady XT windshild pedestal holder.......2007-08-12

The only issue I had with this item was first bending it to the proper angle to hold my XM unit after that it has been perfect for what I needed. I used it in my 2005 Impala which I was a little surprised that it was not quite the 14 inches that it had stated but was still able to make it work.

XM Window Mount - Works great in a pinch.......2007-07-30

I needed something in a pinch to mount my XM SkyFi2 receiver in a new Jeep that I just purchased. I saw this mount available and thought I'd give it a go.

Overall it works well. The flexible mounting arm is a bit long, causing it to bounce around. If anything, I'd recommend to the manufacturer to shorten the arm and make it a bit stiffer. That's my only complaint.

XM Holder.......2007-05-24

Replaced original clip for vent. This one is perfect for my Chevy Express Van. It has a deep windshield and this sets real well above the dash deeper in, so that the satellite signal gets better reception. Product was delivered in perfect condition on time. I highly recommend this holder for all truck owners.

I'm an avid books on tape listener and this is by far the best tape player I've found. With large FF and REW buttons as well as a stop button and HUGE play button, I can easily find my place on the tape without looking! I also love the snappy colors.

This exciting 27-inch set uses a pure-flat picture tube, which not only looks cool compared with a conventional, bulbous screen, but also provides a high-quality, high-contrast picture--partly because of the screen's ability to reduce reflected ambient light, but also due to the set's scan-velocity modulation. The Q2749J's digital comb filter enhances resolution by removing blurred edges between colors and reducing dot crawl. A shadow mask is a thin sheet of perforated metal behind the screen that restricts electron flow, each hole in the sheet corresponding to a single pixel. An Invar mask uses an alloy that's especially resistant to the high temperatures generated by the electron beam, allowing a brighter, clearer picture. The set gives you stereo audio (backed by 8 watts per channel) from broadcast programming and three preset sound modes (standard, news, and personal, together with separate bass, treble, and balance controls) help you tailor the sound to your preference.

A component-video input grants an optimal connection with a compatible DVD player, while standard composite-video and S-video inputs accommodate other devices. You can even play PAL-formatted sources (such as VHS tapes from the U.K.). A set of rear AV inputs and a set of side AV inputs simplify hookups. A rear AV output lets you hook the set up with a surround receiver, and a monaural earphone jack affords private listening. This TV rocks!.......2006-06-22

This is one of the best and cheapest TV's around... well it seems not anymore on amazon. But I had bought this in CA, where I used it continuously for 1 yr, then moved back to NY with it in my U-Haul truck, and it still works to this day some 3 or 4 years later. The picture is crystal clear and the inputs for this TV have been fantastic... and when I ran out of inputs I bought a simple break out box to connect more stuff too. Can't say enough good things about this television... oh yeah, and the buzzing is real... but it goes away after a minute or so and is not too disturbing that it detracts from my TV viewing, but it is noticeable.

A rare TV with PAL playback but short-lived.......2004-02-13

I bought Jensen 2749 as an after-Thanksgiving special for $199. The lowest price for all 27" flat screen TVs. My biggest discovery is not the super low price and very good picture quality but that it has PAL playback function. I have some PAL DVDs and when viewed with my old GE TV, the pictures were black/white. (My pioneer DVD player does not have a PAL-NSTC converter) Now they are with beautiful colors! What a super buy!

The TV broke in less than 5 months! When I was watching Boston Marathon, I heard a spark noise from inside the TV and then the picture became foggy with insufficient contrast. Difficult to find service and I would have to pay the labor cost. After some efforts I returned it to the seller and bought a Sony 27 flat. When watching DVDs, the Sony is slightly better but it does not support PAL. When watching TV program (without cable), the Sony is not as good as Jensen.
I hope it will last much longer than my Jensen.

Great picture, What about warranty?.......2004-02-03

I've had my Q2749J for a couple months now. It seems to work great; the picture is clear, the sound works fine (although I use an external sound system). Since the first day, however, whenever there is a lot of white on the screen, the tube makes a weird grinding noise. I can't seem to find any warranty information and jensen.com is down at the moment. Of course watching tv at loud volume levels covers this noise up, but it doesn't seem to be a problem to ignore.

This might be a decent TV set if it works at all, but it's not a sensible or safe purchase.

Mine worked adequately for a few days and then failed. It has now been four weeks and it still functions only as a paperweight. Although Amazon advertises this product as having an in-home warranty, you should be aware that the support may be of no value whatsoever. Jensen has only recently begun selling TV sets and does not have a functioning service network for them. Although they say that they have been trying to find a service provider in the Washington DC metro area, they have been unable (unwilling?) to do so over several weeks. Verifying this with an independent service tech, I've been told that many parts are available only from Jensen. The only warranty contact information provided is a telephone number for a voicemail box and an address. which seems to be a drop-box for a company in British Columbia, Canada. It is EXTREMELY difficult to get them to return phone calls. The first sign of life came one week after I began sending emails and leaving messages. The Jensen parent website reveals no contact mechanism at all. If you poke around the internet, it turns out that Jensen has become Recoton in FL, with an email address that returns all mail as undeliverable.

Hard to beat the price vs the quality. Wonderful picture, easy to operate with VCR & DVD. All around a very nice TV.I am very tempted to give it 4/5, but the TV is just too nice to give it a less than perfect rating.
