I like it fine, except they should put a handle on the top of it so you don't have to grab the handles on both ends to carry it. Otherwise its pefectly ok to me.

Where are the sleeves?!.......2007-04-11

The case says it holds 400, but only 50 hanging sleeves are provided. A card comes with it saying you can go online to order the rest you just have to pay shipping and handling, but when you get to checkout, the site is not secure because it has a bad certificate! Beware of their website.

Great for the Price.......2007-03-23

This is a very good (not great) case for storing your CDs with jewel cases. It only holds 57 store bought CDs and it is a bad fit in the corners for that extra CD that you what to stuff in. It is EXCELLENT for CDs that you burned that do not have store bought cover art and jewel cases. It will hold hundreds this way. It is not as solid as it looks in the picture, but it looks like it will take a fairly good hit and still protect your CDs and it is fairly light weight. All in all it is a great product for the price.

Cheap made in china case.......2007-02-23

This case is another example of shoddy cheap made in china junk to save a buck.

The design of the case is basically like that of a wire frame with inserts pressure fitted -- only there is really no pressure! These cases are made from very thin aluminum coated CARDBOARD inserts with felt glued to the back. Only the bottom insert has rivets, which are there primarily to hold the rubber feet on. All other inserts slide around within the cases, especially the large insert in the top of the lid. As you can imagine, the entire case bows and flexes with the lid closed, and flexing is far worse with the lid open. A full case would probably not withstand being dropped on a corner.

Worse still, the inside of the case has reinforcing brackets to keep the inserts in, between each side, making the inside volume non-square. The lid has a full inch of space for jewel cases to bounce around in, and there is only one riveted U-channel piece of aluminum at the top of the base and the bottom of the lid, per division of the case's compartments. This will present a huge problem for those who want to put paper sleeved CDs and DVDs into the case since there is nothing to separate the bottom of the case.

There is nothing to prevent liquids from penetrating the seams of the case. If liquid is spilled on the edges of the case, it will get in!

If you close the lid and shake the case around, the hanging sleeves tend to come out of the U-channels and bounce around the inside of the case.

The inside of the case smells like an old musty house in which air has not circulated for years.

The case only comes with 25 hanging sleeves! You have to go to the atlantic-inc website and create an account and enter a "promotional code" to buy the remaining sleeves "at the cost of shipping" which is about another eight dollars.

I made the mistake of purchasing two of these cases. Both cases came with scratches on the aluminum and rivets that look like they damaged the aluminum/cardboard panels going in, and will easily pop out.

Best CD case you can buy...... I love it!.......2007-02-14

I bought the one that holds 200 and I love it! The case is very well made and it takes good care of your cds. I can see that my cds are going to last a long time in this case. The case also locks to keep people out if you need it.

Set drive to Master first.......2007-04-17

This worked fine for me, but I only after I set the IDE drive to Master. Since the meager instructions didn't say this, I figured it out by trial and error.

It's a great way to reuse an old IDE drive with the newer SATA motherboards.

Works better than expected.......2007-02-12

My new computer only had SATA connectors and no IDE connectors. This converter allowed me to use my old IDE data hard disk as my new D: drive. This converter worked without any problems. The instructions are a bit thin, but it's pretty straight forward. Note: due to the angle and bulkiness of this adapter, I had to mount the drive up by the CD drives and not at the bottom of my case like the master hard disk.

Dell xps600 sata system, old ata hard drive, ADIDESA.......2006-06-01

All my info was on my old hard drive out of my Dell 4300.
Bought a new Dell xps 600 with SATA hard drive format.
Installed ADIDESA onto the old hard drive, installed the old hard drive into the new XPS 600 and "poof" the old hard drive worked 1st time.
Rebooted the computer 5 times with no lock up, same good results everytime.
ONLY COPLAINT is that I had to buy a "Y" cord ($5) so I could split power off of the DVD player (which is the same connector as the old hard drive) and jumper power to my old hard drive. This is due to the fact that the SATA hard drive power connecter is different than the old hard drive power connecter and the xps 600 only had extra SATA drive power connectors. ( Radio Shack did not have a SATA power connector to ide drive power pigtail)
Addonics provided all the other wiring that was needed. I even forgot to change the master jumper on the old hard drive to slave with no problems. Adidesa worked like a charm, simple, easy to install, highly recommended.
This was installed two day ago, 5-28-06, will keep you informed of any problems that might accure, but so far so good.

Didn't work with new Dell system.......2006-03-28

I'm also running Microsoft Media Center and had no luck with the converter. I attached it to my older Western Digital IDE hard drive, plugged it into the second SATA slot on the motherboard, and poof, nothing. Not only did it not allow my system to recognize the older drive, but when I used it, my system couldn't recognize the exisiting SATA drive! I tried every possible jumper configuration for the IDE drive, and nothing helped. I'm no hardware genius, but I built my last two machines without trouble, so I'm pretty sure I connected everything correctly. Furthermore, I researched the Intel Matrix Storage Manager issue listed in comments above, and although I'm not sure if my system is running it, Intel's site recommends against using SATA converters like this if it is running.

OOPS: I just found out that my IDE hard drive had gone bad (circuit board is dead), so please ignore the above. I have no idea whether the converter works or not.

Works fine.......2006-01-07

Works fine on our brand new PC (pruchased December 2005). Only complaint about the product is not truly comprehensive instructions -- had to call customer support -- which was very good and patient. We didn't know that Drive had to be set to master (was set to slave), once we did that all was fine! Well worth $20 to have access to all the data on our old 250GB drive.
