very good LCD monitor.......2007-02-22

I purchased this monitor today to replace my o-o-old Dell CRT monitor. It really works well. Very clear images both for stills and video.Resolution is good, no strain to my eyes.
The small brochure along with the monitor is not clear enough on many aspects. It does not say anything about installing the driver software either before connecting the monitor or after. I had to get help from a friend to figure it out.( Sorry I am not a computer pro!!)
The brochure say to insert the CD and install the driver software for XP/windows 2000. I could not get my computer do this job at all. May be mine is XP and a simple plug and play does the job?
The monitor settings are a little confusing to learn, but the auto adjustment feature is really cool. No more hitting seveal buttons to position the images up and sown and sideways and adjust other features as in a CRT monitor.
The picture demonstration about connecting the monitor to the base is really obsolete, you can not make out anything from it (although it is a simple job that can be done without a manual).
The monitor can not be tilted/ position adjusted- that is a great draw back.
Overall it is good bet for the price ie with $100 mail-in -rebate

Great monitor, awful stand.......2007-01-09

The monitor itself works fine but be aware the stand for it is not height adjustable nor can it tilt, making it very difficult to use. I will likely return it, it's a great screen just not very usable without being able to adjust it. And I'm not a kid.

Fantastic!.......2006-07-24

I am completely blown away by this monitor. The look is great, the response time is excellent and works incredibly well. I was honestly looking for a Viewsonic 912A, a 19in monitor, but my fiancee suggested I get this one as it was 100 dollars less for only two inches. My gaming geek side snobbed at her lack of knowledge at how inches so greatly influence gaming. However, I did reluctantly buy this model and was flattened at how good it is. I had nary a complaint with this monitor. If you need to pinch your pennies, but want a good fast responding LCD monitor and don't mind sacrificing a few inches then this monitor is for you. Kudos to Samsung!

For an economy router, the Zonet ZFSR0104DE has a multitude of excellent features, including a print server! I spent two days configuring and testing this router, and it has everything a small network might need. Whether you require a virtual server or advanced parental controls, this router has it. Gamers will appreciate the multiple computer DMZ settings. Most importantly, though, unlike other routers I've had the displeasure of testing, everything works as specified. Also, this router has a decent manual that explains all of its features. If you use the print server instead of leaving a computer on all the time (like I used to do), this router will pay for itself (due to energy savings) in about a year. The only thing lacking is a USB printer port, but that's a minor issue considering the price.

The P225f from ViewSonic is a CRT display designed for both professional and home use. This 22-inch (20 inches viewable) monitor has a PerfectFlat screen, onscreen controls, and a number of other useful features. This monitor is FANTASTIC. It is highly 'tunable' in regards to the viewing settings. It may be a little tricky for some to configure, however, the problems stated in the previous review are due to user ineptitude, not the monitor itself. Had the previous reviewer taken the time to scroll through the extensive setting he would have found the "purity" settings adjusment which allows the user to configure color gradients from each individual corner of the screen. A unique feature that I have not seen on other monitors that I have used. I had the same problem with the color when I first purchased this unit, and I thought it was defective until I found the setting adjustment and made the corrections.

DEFECTIVE Monitor and an AWFUL Company.......2003-04-12

Do not buy this monitor and stay away from ViewSonic. I unfortunately purchased this monitor about 9 months ago. The first monitor arrived with a defective screen. Returning this first defective monitor cost extra [money] in shipping. I've now had the second monitor for 9 months and the screen just went blank ... a sizzling sound came from the back ... and a foul burning smell came out of the monitor. Again I called tech support. Now ViewSonic tells me that they don't know when they will be able to send me a replacement P225f as there is "no stock". I have never had such a horrible experience with a monitor and with dealing with a company. You should avoid this monitor (consider the Hitachi instead) and definitely avoid this company. Their warranty is worthless.

Viewsonic P225 Professional monitor disappoints.......2002-08-24

While I was impressed with the speed (and price) in which this heavy monitor was delivered from Amazon.com, I am disappointed in its performance.

The monitor had an evident color cast across the screen. No adjusments could compensate for the color cast. Tried relocation of the monitor, using another computer, the defect was consistent in any environment.

Viewsonic replaced the monitor ( I was without for over a week as the transfer took place!) and the replacement monitor, while better, displays the same problem. I would not recommend this monitor to anyone looking for a monitor suitable for production photo work.
