IPOD nano 8gb.......2007-09-23
It's easy to use, iTunes is easy to use, and the battery life is good. I haven't yet been able to master all the functions (like the calendar, etc), but I haven't had any problems with it yet (which is good, I'm not good with electronics).
Ipod Convert.......2007-09-20
Got tired of my quirky MP3/CD player and decided to give the iPod a shot. I always thought people were overpaying for these, considering there are plenty of other less expensive mp3 players that do the same thing. Boy was I wrong. The interface (wheel) on this thing is great, quality of the music is great, iTunes is OK, and allows you to import your own MP3s. If you plan on using an mp3 player more than a few hours a week, then I'd recommend getting an iPod for ease of use and numerous available accessories.
It's an iPod.......2007-09-15
Meets expectations. No radio or anything fancy, but a great, solid product. Buy one before they're all gone and you have to get one of those awful 3rd gens.
Here today Gone one day later.......2007-09-03
My son really enjoyed his I-POD for the few days he owned it. Unfortunately, he lost it on a trip to Mexico and has had no luck with the airline lost and found. He saved his own money to purchase it so it's a hard lesson learned.
Thanks (he's saving again!)

Great gift!.......2007-09-01
This was by far the most appreciated Christmas gift I found for my husband. It was questionable, as he had shown no interest in this type of device; now he has external harddrive to store hundreds of CD's, and has a holder for his new Harley. He's obsessed! Finally, a success.
I must admit, the sound quality is amazing, and from such a small device!
I fight technology, but I'm seriously thinking of picking one up myself.
Can't lose on this one. Just remember, be ready to hear singing without the music!

You get a bright full color display, Apple's famous click wheel, and up to 14 hours of battery life. With that said, take a peek behind the curtain and be amazed at the rest of what the iPod nano has to offer... Nano.......2007-08-27
Product was brand new. It took forever to be shipped and received. With as much money as you pay for shipping you would think it would arrive faster. Overall I'm happy with the product.
Blaaaaa.......2007-08-02
I have owned a black 1st gen 2GB iPod for about a year, and I'm not happy. I had very few problems with it until recently, the buttons on it stopped working and doing apples recommended "5 r's" did not help. I called apples technical service line and guess what...THEY WOULD NOT EVEN TALK TO ME...unless your ipod is still under the 1 year warranty, they will not give any help, at all, none. They did however refer me to their online forums...what a joy...here I find 20 other people with he same problem I'm having, with still no answers. I found no "authorized ipod technician" on these forums, just a bunch of frustrated customers with unanswered questions. Apple refuses to acknowledge that there is a problem and don't seem too keen on fixing it.
If you do still plan on buying this product (and I don't recommend it) at least buy an extended service plan like I did. When I got mine Bestbuy offered a 2 year "Product Replacement Plan" basically you can send your ipod in any time within 2 years for any problem and they will send you a voucher which is in-store credit for the cost of the ipod when you bought it + any tax, A great deal in my opinion, I think it only cost an extra $30
No Complaints.......2007-07-25
There's not really much that I can say about an iPod that hasn't already been said. I love my iPod Nano. It's stylish, small, reliable, easy to use, and loud. I'm far from disappointed in this product and I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a portable music player.
old revision.......2007-07-19
I was disappointed in this purchase because it was obsolete before it arrived. I ordered it to give as a gift but was unable to do so because it was out of date. The price was close to retail so I was unaware of this situation. It sits in my closet now with no real value.

Terrific Little Speaker with Clear, Strong Sound.......2007-09-07
After reading several dozen consumer reviews describing laptop speakers I puchased this one. You simply plug it into your laptop, or USB hub, swivel the gooseneck to position the speaker where you want, and you've got an excellent speaker that fits in a small laptop utility bag.
The only complaint I have is that there is no quick volume control; once you've plugged it into your USB port, it overrides the laptop's volume control "knob". You have to open the volume icon in your Control Panel every time you want to adjust the speaker volume, which can be too slow when you're being blasted by a loud video.
This is not to say that there is anything wrong with the volume modulation in the speaker itself, just that there seems to be a wide volume range across items I view--YouTube, email messages with videos from friends, etc.
If this speaker had a volume control knob it would be perfect!
NOT RECOMMENDED FOR DELL LAPTOPS.......2007-09-02
After several weeks of light, mid-volume use, the speaker stopped working on my Dell Latitude D500 and I began receiving error messages noting a "device malfunction". After trading emails with J-Lab customer service, I was instructed to return the speaker by mail (at my expense) for a refund. The refund I received was 80% of the original purchase price because, according to J-Lab, the device was still "working" upon receipt. The representative handling the return acknowledged that there has, in fact, been a history of compatibility issues with Dell laptops-- in other words, a "working" speaker may not always operate correctly when connected to a Dell laptop. Is trying this speaker on your Dell worth the risk of paying two sets of shipping charges, losing 20% of the purchase price, and spending time emailing representatives and repacking/mailing the device? If not, maybe it's worth considering alternatives.
Are we listening to the same speakers?.......2007-08-08
We bought this speaker for our Gateway M505 Media Laptop on a recent trip. The M505 has reasonable speakers for a laptop, but their volume level isn't quite strong enough for us to be happy--we'd always find ourselves straining to hear dialogue from movies.
From reading the reviews I honestly thought this would solve our problem in a nifty self-contained USB-powered fashion.
For us it didn't.
We found the speakers to be nearly identical to the M505 speakers, and while the B-Flex did give us the tiniest improvement in volume, it wasn't enough to really give us adequate volume, or the "big sound" many reviewers have mentioned. Also, there is no way a speaker the size of these can give the kind of frequency response any level of audiophile would be happy with.
So, who should try out this speaker? If you have standard tinny sounding laptop speakers (the almost nonexistent kind), these will be a big improvement. Also you will like the fact that it is USB powered so no batteries, no cords are needed.
However, having said that, I really think the bottom line is, to get truly better sound, you need to use a powered speaker. I think some of the JBL's may be the way to go.
For cost of these guys, unless you catch them on sale, my advice is to keep looking. We had to return ours. (Thanks to Amazon a really fair & generous return policy).
Definite improvement over stock, and extremely portable.......2007-07-08
My boyfriend bought me this speaker. It is plug-and-play. On my computer, often movies are not loud enough for some reason and with this speaker it's as loud as we could possibly want. Also I can blast my music throughout the house from my laptop - before I could not because it sounded horrible at high volumes.
I'm not much of a sound expert, but I think it sounds pretty good.
Flexible, Mobile & Fierceful .......2007-05-13
Love this laptop speakers!! My laptop speakers suck so much that this little guy just gives me the wonderful sound my laptop deserves!! I highly recommend it!!

Customer Reviews:
A dude.........2007-09-03
In the information page of this product isn't specific if this itrip works with an ipod nano 1st generation, but I bought it and works very well!
Exactly what I was looking for in an FM transmitter:.......2007-08-31
I bought this for a two-week, 3,855 mile trip. I drove for 13 hours at a time and I was not disappointed. This is exactly what I was looking for in an FM transmitter: Small and allows charging while the iPod plays.
The transmission is not especially strong, but no FM transmitter could compare to a direct connection (to speakers/amp/stereo). When driving, I select my playlist, slip the gray cloth case (comes with the iTrip Nano) over the transmitter and set it on my dashboard close to the car's antenna (sounds great right there). If I'm in a friend's car, I usually hold it in my hand with one finger touching the antenna-cable in the back, reducing static to a minimum. Setting it somewhere could produce a great sound, or produce a lot of static.
The gray cloth case is a nice bonus, my screen won't become faded over time from sitting in the sun while on my dashboard. I don't bother using the self-adhesive strip, since the cloth case keeps the iPod and iTrip together fairly well.
The iTrip Nano has a Mini USB Type B passthrough, allowing the transfer of songs while it is connected as well as charge the iPod while playing. On longer driving trips, I use a car lighter to USB adapter and a USB to Mini USB cable (the iTrip doesn't come with a cable). Not all USB to Mini USB Type B cables will allow the iPod to be charged; My card reader cable wouldn't charge my iPod, but the cable for my TI-89 would charge just fine.
[I found that it] uses power even when the iPod is off, so remember to disconnect it when you're done.
Loses a star for: using power while off, and the transmission not being perfect. Still, I'm not disappointed since I can play for however long I want and the transmission isn't poor quality.
works well, could use more power.......2007-08-10
As with all FM modulators, you get interference. But the compact size is great. I noticed it works better in some cars than others, and depends greatly on the placement and proximity to the radio. Do not try to charge it through the USB port while its playing, you will get horrible sound.
griffin itrip.......2007-07-22
I give it a three. It works pretty good most of the time. Occasionally it has trouble getting good reception.
Perfect for the car.......2007-07-19
This product is amazing. I use it in my car all the time and I love it. It's nice also because it has a mini usb so that you can charge it while you listen. I recommend this product to anyone with an ipod.

Average sound.......2007-03-22
Unless your laptop's soundcard is not working, or your speakers are barely hearable I wouldn't recommend this. Odds are your laptop does as much as these speakers.
It is well built, looks resistant and it does a decent job. Do not expect very good quality.
Like it so much bought it for a friend........2007-03-08
I like the sound of mine so much I bought one fo my friend for his birthday. It's not super loud but you can listen to music from your mac, with good quality. Just plug it into your USB port. My friend loves his too. He uses his all the time. Great for travel.
Works perfectly........2007-01-30
Speakers quit working on my laptop and needed something decent and easy - and this is better than that. Good quality considering size and price.
Lots of power in a small package.......2007-01-19
I really thought the reviews for this item were probably a little over-blown, but the speakers have proven me wrong. As someone who primarily uses their laptop on the go, I have been looking for a set of small, easily transportable, decent sounding speakers. These fit into all three categories. I am pleasantly surprised by the fullness of the sound that they put out. If you're strictly an audiophile, you'd be better off investing in a good set of Bose headphones, but if you need something to quickly and efficeintly plug and play so other people can hear what is on your laptop, then you won't find a better buy for your money.
Cool!.......2007-01-13
It was a gift to my daughter and she was thrilled! We were all amazed at
the "out of the box" design and think that the folks at JLab need to expand and create a whole lot of new "out of the box" stuff to make life
easier and more efficient! And, the speaker sounds GREAT!

Great case.......2007-04-15
Very durable and tough. I have had my ipod for a year and this is the only case i have ever used on it.but it is kid of hard to get out of the case.
Love Love LOVE This Toughskin.......2007-03-12
Super easy to put on. Looks very very cool, like a truck tire. Makes finding my iPod in my jumbly purse a breeze. I don't use the belt clip and I don't notice the hole in the back at all.
Very much worth the cost. Far superior to a leather case.
Its ok but not made for a Itrip.......2007-03-05
I orginally had purchased this for road travel along with a Itrip.
Both Work great but i have to dislocate my ipod out of the case for my itrip to properly fit.
But other then that i had no real trouble taking my ipod in and out of the case.
Speck ToughSkin for iPod Nano.......2007-01-14
The thick rubber cover was difficult to get installed evenly. Internal friction on the rubber wanted to prevent smooth alignment. I still can't get the function wheel centered in the Speck cover. The display cover isn't all that securely held, and I worry that it may fall out & get lost. The thickness of the rubber along the bottom prevents some headphones from fitting all the way into the Nano with the Speck cover on it. Although the thick rubber seemed like a good idea for preventing damage to my Nano, if I had to do it over again, I'd probably not have bought this.
Nano Skin Review.......2007-01-10
This is an excellent product. I would highly recommended the product to protect your Nano.

tough love.......2007-08-23
hard to get on and off, but did the job! need to take off when using some mp3 player adaptors like speakers or in the car.
Nano Cover.......2007-02-21
Well to start off, the positive about this product, the material its made out of is really durable, and i like it, it really does protect your nano, they were easy to put on and the screen protecters are great, but the negative, and why i gave this product one star, but if i had to give it no stars for being such [...] than i would, it doenst fit the nano right, it doesnt cover a great portion of the bottom of the nano, you really have to fight to get to the hold button, part of the cover hangs over on the screen so its hard to see what your looking at and since its too small for the nano the cover also hangs over on your selector which causes it to push the buttons on it, so u could be listening to a song and then it shuts off because the cover is pushing the button! honestly i will be returning this item, it is durable to make it thu a year in in iraq, but the bottom half of my nano will be ruined! dont waste your money on this product
Best Nano Cover?.......2006-11-15
Let me start by stating; You need to cover the Nano. It gets scratched, worn and ugly very quickly without a case and this case covers all the bases; moisture protection, improved grip, scratch resistance, drop protection, access to controls and ports. I have tried a few covers for my Nano, this has been my favorite. The "dirty half-dozen" reasons to buy:
1. tight fitting cover that does not slip off (I have had this happen with leather covers)
2. rubber material assures good grip even with sweaty hands (do you work out with your nano?)
3. hard plastic cover for screen really protects and lasts a long time (the soft vinyl covers offered with most other cases scratch and tear rather easily)
4. A three pack! (Share with friends and family? change your clothes? change the case!)
5. Excellent price/value (compare with other products out there you will see what I mean)
6. Looks good, does not spoil the Nano's visual appeal (important since we all love the look of our Nano, no?)
I highly recommend this product.
Perfect protector.......2006-08-31
I find this protector a perfect one.
Protects both the iPod and its screen very well.
Unlike other reviewers, I didn't find it too difficult to install on my iPod.
ipod nano covers/screen protector.......2006-07-25
I liked everything about the Cover/Screen Protectors, except that the clean lense cover doesn't stay till your ipod is in the case holding it in.
Product Description
Nano SkinTight Deluxe rubberized skins provide protection and a convenient holster (belt clip) to carry your iPod nano! Includes removable screen protector to keep your color screen looking sharp! Skintight Cases also avaliable without a holster
Customer Reviews:
Worth it.......2006-01-06
I Just picked up the nano a few days ago. Iheard about the problems with the screen scratching so I just left the plastic it comes with over the face (Why most people don't leave it there is beyond me) and stuck it in the case. I've dropped it a couple of times with no damage. the only problem about the case is when you try to put it in your pocket the rubber tends to catch on your pocket and not just slide in. Otherwise it's a good choice
