SIR-BB3 Boombox.......2006-02-24

Not a bad unit. Good Price, good looking, decent sound. Definitely a must if you want to make full use of your radio unit. Had a small problem when I first tried the box. Only played out of one speaker. I was pretty bummed. Easy fix. Turns out the contacts were dirty on the radio plug. Cleaned them off and worked like a charm.
Good: Price, portability, looks.
Bad: Could use more bass, antenna very sensitive to position.

Great Sirius Accessory.......2005-10-19

I love listening to sirius in my office during the day. The channels I like to listen to are Court TV and CNN, which are not available via the computer. The only down side to the boombox is that there is no carrying handle. There is a place to put one's hand, but it is not conducive to carrying. It is perfect if you are going to put in one place and keep it there.

Be very careful!.......2007-03-09

I bought this hoping it would be a good cheap beginners webcam. Well cheap is most definately the word. I installed the programs needed with no problem, but as soon as i connected the webcam my computer shut down and lost the entire picture. I have had nothing but trouble with the computer since then. And I have still yet to get the webcam to actually work. It requires a high amount of memory to run. I would definately not suggest this product unless you know a computer tech willing to fix the computer after the damage is done

Great product! For the price (under $12 total), it's an excellent buy. The software is very easy to install and the camera hooks up quickly. I was using the webcam in about 5min. It has a manual focus that allows you to adjust on the fly, very simple. It's not the best camera out there we all know, but like I mentioned earlier, for this price, I think it's a great buy. I love it. I don't feel I need any other more expense webcam, this definitely does the job. The only drawback of this webcam is that it doesn't come with a microphone or an adjustable clamp (typically for laptops). However, I can buy those things seperately and still be under the $30-50 range.

The XP-P7260c, is great. It comes with everything to play in your car (if you have a cassette deck), and yes a AC/DC adapter for the home. The only thing i dont really like is the vol knob is a little too small to turn, which makes it hard to reach. Other wise, it will never skipp (48sec anti-shock) and a deep bass! The remote is small but handy. Definatly recommend you buy this!!

I am trying to simply find out if the unit comes with an AC adapter. It is impossible to determine this!! I cannot find any info. on any of the websites. Calls to the AIWA people at 1 800 289 2492 are futile. You are bounced around from one operator to another. AIWA has just lost my business.

Very impressive for smaller binoculars. I have compared these in terms of image quality to inexpensive 10x50s, and I thought these are as good. Even when I look at the stars using these small binoculars, the stars are clear. Excellent quality.

nice overall but not perfect.......2007-09-05

The Olympus Magellan 8x25 is very compact, but it doesn't fold up quite as tiny as double-hinged compact binoculars. If you don't mind the small size, overall the ergonomics and feel are quite good - better to me than the similar Pentax 8x25 DCF MC II. The big center focus wheel is nice but mine has little resistance. Wedging a small thin elastic behind it 'solved' this. There is just barely enough focus travel for me to reach focus on infinity without glasses, though I am moderately nearsighted. To focus farther out, you turn the focus wheel counter-clockwise; it's more intuitive to have it the opposite way. Excellent close-focus of about 7'. This binocular has just enough eye relief for me to see the entire field of view when wearing glasses. Though the field of view is narrow - 5.5º true FOV and 44º apparent FOV. For watching fast-moving action like sporting events or birds, you'll probably want a binocular with at least around 8º TFOV. Sharpness and freedom from chromatic aberration (false color) in the one I got is about average for an 8x binocular. It is water resistant to a shallow depth (like for quickly rinsing off dirt or sand), but don't expect truly water proof - few binoculars are. Comes with caps for the eyepiece end but not the objectives. But it does come with a neoprene case. If you can get the Magellan 8x25 for less than $100, it's a good buy for a travel binocular, mine is a constant travel companion.

Olympus Magellan 2x25 WP1 - Love them!.......2005-11-03

For some time now I've been looking for the "right" binocular. I was looking for good quality image, light weight, waterproof and that work if I'm wearing my glasses or my contact lenses and I'm thrilled to have found these!

I fully appreciate the twist in/out eye cups. The other decent brands that have this feature are the Pentax and Minolta but what I didn't like about them is their small focus adjustments. The Olympus on the other hand, have a large focus adjustment that responds quickly and precisely even with gloved hands.

The Bushnell Legend 9x25 would be my 2nd pic but they weight more, cost more and are not as "compact".

I even looked at the higher-end brands but wasn't impressed. The steiner 8x22 need a larger eye relief and twisting eyecups for my uses and both Leica and Zeiss 8x20 binoc's have the features but they just cost too much for the limited performance that their 20mm lenses allow.

So, if you are a glasses wearer and are looking for the lightest weight binoc's with the biggest performance, these are it!

the icing on the cake is that Olympus has a mail-in $20 rebate.

Olympus Magellan 8x25 WP I

This binocular is a huge step up from the ubiquitous Bushnell, Tasco, etc. 8x21, though at its significantly higher price you'd expect that. It's a very good choice as a durable and waterproof travel binocular, though its 5.5º field of view (very narrow for an 8x binocular) make it not the best choice for birders, sporting events, or viewing fast-moving objects. I was also considering the Pentax 8x25 DCF MCII, a very comparable model, but I much preferred the ergonomics of this Olympus.

Pros:

--enough eye relief for me to see the entire field of view while wearing glasses (I've used other binocs with so-called long eye relief that didn't allow this)
--ergonomics: lightweight and small (though probably too small if you have big hands or are wearing gloves). Comfortable shape, grippy rubber texture, good focus wheel location
--surprisingly close near-focus of around 7'
--very decent antireflective lens coatings, baffling, and stray light supression

Cons:

--its true FOV is 5.5º, which is narrow for an 8x binocular, and its apparent FOV (the diameter of the circular image you see) is 44º, very narrow. This is often the price to pay to get long eye relief
--there is barely enough focus travel in mine for me to reach focus on distant objects/infinity. So far, not a problem, but if I get more nearsighted over the years, I'll have to wear my glasses while using this binocular
--the focus wheel on mine doesn't have much resistance, particularly in hot weather. A makeshift solution: a small thin rubber band wrapped around the back side of the wheel so that it's wedged between it and the body, increasing friction
--mine has a more-than-average amount of chromatic aberration, which varies (for better or worse) depending on eye positioning
--resolution in mine is average at best
--after a while, the eyecups don't click into position precisely, but rather mushily. Applying silicone grease when needed 'solves' this. (don't use other, petroleum-based greases or oils, they will damage the plastic).
--to focus closer in, you must turn the focus wheel clockwise, farther away counterclockwise. Many binocs have it the opposite way, which is more intuitive
