Here's everything you need to begin enjoying Sirius satellite radio in your car: the SIRPNP2 radio tuner and the SIRCK1 docking cradle with built-in FM transmitter, plus a wireless remote control.

The SIRPNP2 features an LCD screen that displays radio stream information, artist, song title, and category title. The Memory Capture feature saves up to 20 artist and song titles for later recall, while the S-Seek feature constantly searches all radio streams for the saved songs/artists. The Look Ahead feature allows you to stay on and listen to the current radio stream while browsing other streams to see what's playing.

The SIRCK1 docking cradle connects to your in-dash car stereo with the included RCA audio cable. If your car stereo doesn't have an audio connection, the FM transmitter can send the Sirius radio signal to one of four FM frequencies (88.1 MHz, 88.3 MHz, 88.5 MHz, or 88.7 MHz). The base has a swivel ball for adjustment of the dock, and it can be mounted to your dash using the included adhesive strip or included screws. The antenna has a magnetic base that enables you to mount it on your car's roof or trunk; it connects to the docking cradle with a 20-foot antenna cable.

Sirius satellite radio is a subscription service that provides up to 100 channels of programming, from digital-quality music to news, talk, and sports.

My boyfriend didn't want one of these units when i first asked him how he would like one. But little did he know i had already bought one for him. On valentines he received it. LOL. Now i can't get him off of it. It's very simple to use in the home or car. For home you just need to buy a cord and whola!! It's all set to go. He really loves it. It is so easy to set up in the car or home. I rate it very highly!!!!

I've owned several Sirius radios, and the PNP2 was by far the most rock-solid and trouble free unit. It's not the smallest Sirius radio, but if you want a trouble free tuner, this is the way to go.

And if you like sports play by play, Sirius is the way to go. They have play-by-play from the NFL, NBA, NHL, and 26 college teams (including my KU Jayhawks). They even carry English soccer!

Can't tell you how it works, because it does not work. Apprently there is only telephone tech support during normal working hours, AND the web site in unresponsive which is a bad indication that there's a LOT of other very unhappy people trying to hunt these guys down.

The Bomb! Lose 'FM radio' issues, get tape adapter.......2004-12-26

You can connect this radio thru the 'Line Out' to a tape adapter and lose the FM radio transmitter - MUCH BETTER SOUND QUALITY. Also, you can do the same if your stereo accepts external connections (like for an MP3 player) or has an AUX input. The FM transmitter is ok, but direct connect sounds so much better.

I am a picky person when it comes to sound. This unit did not disappoint. Using the tape adapter (or direct connect) you truly get CD quality sound - awesome. I also think the bigger display is better than the smaller ones I have seen on other units. Easier to see while driving. My daugther can read the artist and title from the back seat of our van!

I have had this radio for over a year now - it is the best gift I have ever received. It is used every day. I tried XM in rental cars, wife got me Sirius for Christmas - very glad she did because the channel and programming are better. This thing has been a lifesaver travelling with kids - KidStuff and Disney Radio channels saved our sanity! I listen to Fox News during the commute to work. I loved this thing so much I bought the stock at $3/share - WOOHOO!!!

Buy it, you will not be disappointed.

I read the other earlier reviews. I think one person's FM reception problems might be solved by using the switch on the side of his Audiovox car cradle, designed to hone in on FM 88.1, 88.3, 88.5, or 88.7.
As for using the adhesive backed antennae, I did NOT, preferring just to leave it on the front of the dash near the windshield. There is enough slant there to keep the unit from sliding back into the seats. Works great. For those wanting to use the unit at home, go to radio shack, get a 12V, 500 milliAmp wall receiver, then buy the Adaptaplug "E". Radioshack, a vendor of Sirius products, now sells its AC adapters with different, interchangeable ends. The whole thing costs maybe $18 and will allow you to power this unit at home. Getting satellite reception through your windows, though, might be more difficult.
I think this is a wonderfully clever system. I enjoy both the quality of sound (stereo, as far as I can tell) and the tremendous variety of offerings: classic radio shows like Burns and Allen, Latin, BBC, NPR, NFL, MBA, Blues, Jazz, Rock, Hip-Hop, Classical, Electronic....I'm glad I got it.

At the time (6 years ago) I could not afford a good set of studio monitors for desktop recording, so I opted for these. It was a very wise choice. These things are a real workhorse and still sound wonderful today with no problems. I prefer them now to the monitors I finally bought. $99 is a good deal, it's what I paid back then.

Tried and True.......2006-10-18

I was first exposed to these headphones about 18 years ago while doing some session work in a handful of different pro recording studios in New York City. Since then, I cannot recall ever seeing any other type of headphone in any studio I have been in. I have also been using these phones in my own home studio, and am still using the same pair I bought about 15 years ago! They have not been out of service for one minute during that time, although they definitely look like they have taken a beating! This should speak volumes regarding their reliability and quality of manufacture.

The sound is every bit as good as the reliability. They can be worn for long periods of time comfortably, and without listening fatigue. The bass response is full and well-defined, the mids are clear and the highs are crisp without any overt raspiness in their character. As the another reviewer noted, subtle details that are sometimes lost can become very apparent with these phones. I have, on numerous occasions, listened to a "perfect take" over these phones only to discover that some tiny bit of extraneous noise such as swallowing, breathing, chair noise from shifting in my seat, or string noise from my guitar, has intruded my mix.

These phones are perfectly suited for critical listening, are reliable, and comfortable. Highly recommended.

This headphones rules. Use them for monitoring your tracks in your mixer, you'll hear every subtle detail of the instrument being tracked or the partial mix (It helps you a lot when you're detecting little noises)If you, like me, can't afford the price of two monitor speakers try this headphones and use them wisely.

One more thing, yesterday I used the AKG to hear one of my jazz CDs and... it's amazing, I heard the vibration of the acoustic bass and the subtle hit of the brush drumsticks. If you're looking for a great studio headphone without expending more than 100 bucks, this is your choice.

Jeez!

My bulb lasted 2540 hours not 5000 or even the low end 3000...

Now they want $314.00 for a replacement bulb???

The clarity has never been that great. Forget vivid or sharp...

If I had to do it over again I would spend some extra money and get real quality...

So, after months of searching for the right projector I decided on purchasing the EP739 for 6 reasons.

1) The Price, ($850) That's hard to beat!

2) 720p, 1080i high definition picture. I've already watched Superman Returns and Mission Impossible III in 720p and it looks incredible! I haven't seen the 1080i picture yet, but I can only imagine!

3) 2,500 lumens for a nice bright image. I have an apartment with many windows which isn't ideal for a projector, but the EP739 does just fine. Close the blinds and turn off the lights and get ready for a killer picture!

4) The inputs. S-Video, Composite (RCA), VGA and DVI connections. Some of you may be confused about the VGA input and the DVI input. Don't be, because I'm going to clear that up for you right now. First up, VGA is analog and DVI is digital. That's the important thing to know. You can purchase a component adapter for the VGA input and a HDMI adapter for the DVI input. Cool huh? So don't shy away from purchasing this projector because it doesn't have component or HDMI connections. It's an easy fix!

5) 5,000 hours lamp life!!! In all of my searching for the perfect projector, I never came across another projector with 5,000 hours of lamp life. Eco mode will dim the picture a tad, but to be honest with you, it looks fine.

6) Small and quiet. Sure there is some fan noise but it's not bad at all. A friend of mine has an older projector and while watching a movie, you had to crank the surround sound to wash out the fan noise. Not with the EP739. My projector sits 5 feet from my head, and I hardly know it's there. And the size of this thing is small. It's hard to believe that such a small machine can produce a 25 foot picture!!!

$2,000 - $3,000 for a 42" plasma or $850 for a theater like picture... That's a no brainer for me!!!

very bright and like the other reviewers have yet to see any rainbows after months of use. a ten foot screen is hard to beat and you really cannot go back to a regular TV after going this route. i am using a "goo" screen (painted on the wall) with very good results.

Excellent piece of kit. Great picture and when linked to a sound sytem plus a HUGE 7'X 5' screen then this is better than the movies. Rainbows......... not yet, only problem seems to be finding a replacement bulb when present one goes POP.
