Superb Quality Photos - I Love this Paper.......2003-03-21

I really enjoy using HP's premium photo paper. In my opinion, it's one of the best photo papers around. I love the new and improved gloosy finish. I've received excellent results with this paper. When I set my Canon i320 printer on "photo paper plus glossy", my photos look a though they were talken by a studio photographer. My family and friends love their pictures and keep asking for more. I'm currently working on a new family photo album and it's been having a ball because my pictures turned out so pretty on this paper. I highly recommend it.

This order came thru Photolady and the packaging was photopaper simply sandwiched between some cardboard sheets. No labels as to whose product this really is. How do we know what we are getting?

Not true HP paper.......2003-01-12

I have the HP Photosmart 100 printer and it came with some HP premium photo paper that has a serrated tab that tears off. This paper is not the same. This would not be such a big deal if it weren't for the fact that the printer I have will only print edge to edge photos on true HP paper, otherwise it prints with a border.

Now the paper itself is just as good as the other papers by Kodak and Epson that I have. But it isn't what I am looking for.

Exceptional Quality Paper.......2002-11-12

My Digital Camera has a 3.3 MegaPixel resolution and printing photos on this HP paper far exceeded my expectations! I use the HP 7150 Photosmart Printer with the HP Premium High Gloss Photo Papers. Unbelievable quality and perfectly vivid colors, in every detail, whether enlarging or scaling down photos, you will never be disappointed with the output. I cannot imagine returning to 35mm film and developing - no comparison. Put your old photo equipment in the attic and go digital with a photoprinter. Other photo paper pales in comparison to HP products.

The Perfect Paper for the HP PS 100 Printer!.......2002-08-15

If you have a Hewlett Packard PS 100 photo printer, this is the perfect paper to use.

The printed area is 4x6; the paper is photo glossy; and each sheet includes a (perforated) tear-off tab -- which allows the PS 100 to print borderless 4x6 prints.

(My technical friends tell me that the tear-off tab allows the printer to hold on to the paper -- so that the printer can print all of the way up to the 6" perforated edge. Without the tear-off tab, the PS 100 will stop printing sooner, 1/4" before the edge of the paper, cutting off the image.)

Don't be confused by HP's other 4x6 papers (which don't come with the perforated edge).

If you want to make beautiful, borderless 4x6 glossy photos on your PS 100 printer, this is the paper you'll want to buy!

(As additional info, this paper will also work in HP's Photosmart 1315 which has a special 4x6 paper tray. The 1315, unfortunately, does not print borderless, so the benefit of this paper's tear-off tab is somewhat wasted. HP has also just introduced their new Photosmart 7150 printer which, according to its technical specs, also outputs borderless 4x6 prints, so this paper will probably work in this unit as well.)

Of all the medium priced, mini-stereo systems that I have used, and there are many, this has the look, the feel, and most importantly the sound that makes it a cut or two above the rest. It is well built and fairly stylish. The Q sound is fabulous. It has a very good AM-FM stereo tuner capable of pulling in weak stations with clarity. This is the kind of item that delivers more than you expected. It is a pleasure to use and to listen to.

Just What I Expected.......2002-05-28

I was looking for something for daughter's room. This was the right price, good sound, and a nice size. The music sounds very good for a portable boombox. I really like the remote control so that I can turn it on or off during the night without disturbing her. The only down side was that the volume control is by button instead of a gradual knob.

Ok Machine.......2002-05-16

I just got this and bought it for the Aiwa reputation and reasonable price. The Q sound has an echo effect which is kind of anoying. What I am most disappointed about is that there is no good bass sound. I own 2 other Aiwa stereos which are bigger and more pricey but boy do they have bass. All in all you get what you pay for. If you want better sound, spend more $$$. Aiwa is a great brand to consider but maybe not this model.

First of all, unlike it's description, this boombox does NOT have auto-reverse. It has continuous play on one of the tape decks.

Before buying this I purchased a small Sony boombox. The sound was clear, but lacked 2 tapedecks and a remote control. Seeing this on clearance, it seemed like a great bargain--same price, more features. When it arrived, I listened to both and the sound quality on the teeny Sony was definitely superior. Though the Aiwa 'looks' bigger, it's speakers have poor sound quality and the volume is [bad]. My computer speakers have better volume and depth of sound! I considered sending this unit back, but the return shipping cost (huge shipping box) made me seek an alternative.

Having owned an Aiwa shelf system that lost electronic functions over time, we had a nice set of speakers to switch over onto this unit. It boosted the sound quality and for the clearance price, I figured I would be a happy camper.

That was until I recently decided to record some of my cd's on to tape for my car. Maybe the unit I got is just a lemon..who knows? I won't buy another to find out! But the tape sound has so much background noise that I feel like I have to turn the volume up to hear the lyrics and music. Of course, when I do, the distortion increases, too. Yuck! I realize it's an inexpensive unit, but the tapes made on the Sony had clarity that I can only wish for on this Aiwa. I suppose it's the end-user who must make the final decision. In choosing extra features, I sacrificed sound quality. If you don't plan to use the remote or do taping, and if the room is very small, the Aiwa may be fine. But if a richer sound is a priority, bypass this one. And defintiely don't purchase it for it's non-existent auto-reverse.
Btw, in it's first review, the volume control was mentioned as too low or too high. Without the larger speakers, that wasn't even an issue. I use this in my computer room--relatively small (12 x15) and adjacent to our family room. Before switching it's speakers, my husband could watch tv in the family room, unaware there was music playing nearby. However, I could still hear the entire dialogue of tv shows. (No, the tv's not blaring. ;-)) If you're looking for a non-intrusive sound system for a child's bedroom, you may find this perfect.

I'm giving it 2 stars, due to it's price and remote control. Personally, I'm shopping for a new one and this unit will join it's discarded speakers and be given to a local charity.
