it's a telephone cord... what can you say?.......2007-04-21

I own my own business, and we are constantly on the phone. You need to have phones which don't run on batteries or need to be plugged in on the ocassion that you run out of power. For that purpose, we have a couple of phones in the store which are simple handsets with bases, which we use all the time. Because of this, phone cords are twisted, and eventually wear out. Belkin makes great products (especially their computer products) in general, and these phone cords are no exception. The cord is thick and the connectors fit snuggly. It is just a cord, I know, but it is important to get one that will hold up to the rigors of a lot of use, and Belkin makes quality cords.

To ensure that you get the best home-theater experience from your TV, Panasonic has included component video inputs that provide the highest possible picture quality from DVD players. In addition, dual rear A/V inputs and front A/V inputs add convenience for recording tapes directly from a camcorder or connecting video games and external video components such as a second VCR.

Other advanced features include single-tuner picture-in-picture, which lets you watch two programs at the same time, so you can check the score of your favorite basketball team's game while you're watching football. (Because this set does not have dual-tuner PIP, however, you'll have to route the PIP signal through your VCR or other device in order to use it.) The complete remote control operation includes PIP on/off, freeze, swap, and move. True couch potatoes will enjoy the illuminated "Director" home theater remote control with joystick. PANASONIC Makes the Better 32-Inch TV Set.......2001-07-15

PANASONIC and SONY manufacture the best tube televisions. When entering into the tube TV market (20 inches and above) your best bet for uniform picture quality and consistent performance is PANASONIC and SONY. Both of these manufactures stake their reputations on this market. Both manufacturers also have a loyal following of satisfied customers who return time and again to their Televisions. I used to sell audio and video products. A returning PANASONIC customer settles for nothing but another PANASONIC television. A returning SONY customer settles for nothing but another SONY television. That's the way it was. From my point of view PANASONIC and SONY still make the best television sets utilizing a conventional picture tube. Price range aside, my criteria for choosing a set is simply how well the picture looks to me. I look for picture definition, sharpness and color consistency. Personally I found SONY to have a slight edge over PANASONIC in picture definition and sharpness. PANASONIC televisions offer great definition with a slightly softer looking image than SONY. However, I do find that PANASONIC has better control over color consistency. A color picture is made up of Red, Green and Blue signals. Reds are the hardest to reproduce and control because they have a tendency to over-saturate and "bleed." From the many sets that I have observed PANASONIC controls this "bleeding." PANASONIC keeps the Red signal at the same level and consistency of the Greens and Blues, which is more pleasing to the eye. In order to compare sets I always use the same video source, which is usually, a DVD player (I use the same player as well as the same software). My point is that I saw a discernable difference in the PANASONIC 32-inch sets compared to Sony's 32-inch sets. I believe PANASONIC's PANABLACK picture tube somehow is perfectly realized on their 32-inch sets.

Very nice for a large screen...just a bad remote........2000-11-29

I purchased the set (for the price way more than listed here), and I have been quite pleased with the quality of the picture for the large size monitor. Especially with DVD, you can truly enjoy movies at home. Sound is ok, yet you might want to have a surrounding system if you like to enjoy movies more. Only bad thing is the remote control. It's not a user-friendly design and, I think, it has a pretty weak signal. You have to stand (or sit) on the straight line from the set.

Surprisingly Good For The Price.........2003-06-22

TV is a very flexible system. The remote has 4 sets of bookmarks one for each individual so you can save your favorite channel. One button takes you to YOUR prescribe channels. The picture and sound is very good. They come in modes each with 3 factory modes and one personal mode. Connectors for S-Video and AV jacks input and outputs. Includes front AV jacks for cameras and headphone jacks. Most functions are menu driven for sound, picture, clock. The timer can be set to always turn on/off at certain times each day without further action from the owner. Has a child safe autolock to prevent kids from viewing certain programs and its password protected with a pin number. Close caption in 3 modes. I use it in mute mode - so when the sounds off the close caption kicks in; goes away when I take it off mute. The sound is very good too. It has a insurround sound setting and appears to have 4 speakers 2 tweeters and 2 midrange. It's not a flat or plasma screen but I'm very happy with this set until I get HDTV. :-)

Awesome TV.......2004-09-06

I decided to write a review since no one else has! I received this TV as an 8th grade graduation present last year. So far it has worked great. I have a DVD player hooked up using the S video jack and the picture is amazing. The sound is also great, it has a simulated surround sound. The TV has 2 RCA inputs, 1 RCA output, and 1 S-Video jack. It also has a headphone jack. I highly reccomend this TV. It is perfect for a bedroom, which is where mine is at. You won't regret buying this TV.
