Poor connection, good sound.......2005-01-21

I bought this headset as my first Bluetooth headset to work with my Nokia 6820. It was easy to pair, and easy to operate. However, I have experienced continual problems with it staying connected to the phone unless they were within 12 inches of each other and had line of sight.

Then, it works fine, the sound is good and the functionality good too. However, the battery life is quite short, lasting only 16 hours on average with very little talk time. Then, it takes 5 hours to recharge it.

I've decided to purchase my second Bluetooth headset, in this case, a Cardo Scala 500. Hopefully my luck will be better.

This is an extremely poor audio quality headset. For this price, you should check out the Nokia BH-900 instead. :Do not buy this Belkin headset. I received it as a gift and was really not pleased with it. The range is poor and the headset produces a lot of static.

First time with a bluetooth headset.......2005-03-12

A very short range and low audio quality have led me to rate this device very low. I'm a first time headset purchaser, so I don't know if this is typical or not which is why I gave the headset a little bit of room by rating it a 2 instead of a 1.

Could sound better, most comfortable BT headset I used.......2004-11-07

Sometimes when I call someone with this headset, they ask me right away what the noise in the background is... I've been told it sounds like lawn mowers are racing around while on it. Usually, if someone says they hear noises like that, or they can barely hear me, I'll call them back (on the headset) and the interference will be gone. They say it's much better, but it sounds like I'm talking to them from the bathroom, which seems to be as good as this headset gets. I was previously using the Jabra BT200 and no one ever asked if I was on a headset. Everyone agreed that the sound quality of the BT200 was as good as using the cell phone itself. Not so with this Belkin... at its best, it still sounds tinny to the person on the other end. Now, the reason I'm not going to take it back: It weighs under 20 grams, and the moldable over-the-ear hook is much more comfortable and stable than the Jabra. I always knew I was wearing the Jabra, but I forget I'm wearing this Belkin all the time. And since the headset is for my convenience, not the person I'm talking to, the lower sound quality isn't that much of a problem. I've been using it for 3 days with a Sony Ericsson T610, voice dial enabled. It paired on the first try, voice dial works fine, very user friendly. I just wish it had the option to turn off the slowly blinking blue LED. It looks very cool, but can be annoying at night.

This was a Christmas gift for my father-in-law who, at 87, received his first CD's. He is not up on technology, but he learned to use it fast, and he plays his CD's every day.
