My microphone produced more hiss than sound. Owners manual was missing and there was no plastic bags either. It appears to be used. I guess mine was a returned unit!

adds lots more to the sound of your video's , i like to record friends bands at clubs and this mic does a really great job of picking up the entire band ( minus a little of the bass frequency ) worth the money for an add on mic !

Great little mic.......2007-05-15

This is a great mic for the price. I am using it for my Canon HV20. It may not be a hotshoe mic, but it fits in it, and works :).

It isolates sound very well and comes with all the accessories it ever needs. The only drawback I could see, and maybe not a drawback, is that it has no indicator light to really show that the battery has juice. So you are left having to turn it on, then remembering to test it however you can with whatever you have it attached to.

Best bargain for your buck.

Hard to find a better value.......2007-05-13

I have used this (these) condenser mic(s!) for capturing the practices and improv jamming that a band I'm in does (indoors). The sound quality was better than the pair of good-quality dynamic mics we had set up in the past, and the stereo separation was quite (suprisingly) good. And the ATR25 did not distort at sound levels in the Very Loud 3-Piece Rock Band range, in a small room, at 6-ft range. And no external power required! Good deal. Only drawback (in terms of part interchangability) is that the main mic body connector is an unusual twist (literally--it has screw threads) on the regular 1/8" stereo jack/plug interface. But it stays put!

The mic is great. It picks up the sound you would expect from a mic at this price. Not bad and I'd buy it again!
