I love to scrapbook and I like to print the pictures from my computer. I have an HP PSC 2355 and had been using the traditional inks. I was skeptical that it would make a difference, but I as much as I spend on other scrapbooking items I thought it was worth a shot.

I was really pleased with the results. One thing I had to learn the hard way, USE HIGH QUALITY PAPER!!! Now I use HP Premium Plus photo paper. Printing pictures from your home computer is one of the areas where the additional money is worth it.

HP cartridges are the way to go. The only downfall is that if you decide to purchase a cartridge when you DON'T need it, chances are that by the time you use this product, the cartridge itself may not work in your printer (say three months from the day of purchase).

HP is awesome about cartridge replacement. So if it takes a dump, call HP!

A helpful option for photo printing.......2006-10-31

Just bought one of these to try out for photo printing with an HP 5740 that came bundled with my computer a few years ago.
Printing from RAW (NEF actually) files with a 96 and 97 combination gave me skin tones that were too heavily red saturated. This is less of an issue with JPEG files.
I generally had to go into the levels tool in Photoshop and pull back the reds some for most portraits. Not so with the 99 cartridge in place.
We'll see how many prints I can squeeze out of one of these.
Frankly I see this as a stop gap solution for photo printing. Printers that use multicolor ink cartridges waste a lot of ink when used as dedicated photo printers.
As soon as I can put together the dough I plan to add an Epson 2400 and use it strictly for photography.
Ink will never be cheap but at least when I run out of red I won't be throwing away what's left of two other colors.
Still this does expand the usefulness of compatible HP printers.

Tough Call.......2005-09-13

I printed the same photo with the photo on an HP 6840 using 99 phot ink cartridge, then the standard black 96 and then 96 w/o HP enhancements. At first I thought the 96 was better than 99 because I got beter red saturation, until I realized that the red hue was stronger throughout the photo at the sacrifice of some green and whites that were not as brite.

With out the HP enhancements, the 2 photos looked similar to my naked eye, but under magnification I could clearly see more eveness and saturation of color With the enhancements.

Buy something else.......2003-03-16

I went for a[n] [inexpensive] camera rather than one I knew anything about - my mistake. I've tried three roles of film in this camera, and in two of the roles only a couple of pictures turned out. The rest of the negatives were completely blank! The other roll (the middle one that I tried) actually had pictures on it, but they were poor quality - dark, grainy, and out of focus. I am not an expert photographer, but I certainly think I should be able to do better than this; obviously this is not a high-performance camera. ...

I bought the camera a few months ago and it was great. It took beautiful pictures at first. Then it started acting up and it thought it needed a battery replacement, which upset me because the battery cost over $ and I thought that it would have lasted longer that a couple of months, I'm not a heavy cammera user..... I bought new batteries and it still won't take pictures. It'll zoom, the display indicated that it's ready and the digital display is lit but it won't take any pictures......I have emailed Jazz corp and am waiting for a reply.....they handle the service for the cameras.........Buyer be ware!!!

The PZ3000 has many great features for the money. The pictures that I have taken have all turned out great. I have not had any problem with the quality of the camera. It has held up well and I take it everywhere. I only wish I had purchased it at ... I paid a little more.

Great shots, but camera fell apart.......2001-04-25

I bought this camera - it has great features - great zoom, great self-timer and takes crystal clear pictures, but the film is hard to load and on the one I had, the autorewind icon would not turn off. After using the camera for just a week, I went to take a look at the battery and the bottom part of the battery chamber fell off. I returned it.

Save yourself the aggravation - DON'T buy this product.......2006-12-13

Unfortunately I bought this camera elsewhere also and payed much more for mine. There is a reason that they have LOWERED there prices (to meet there LOW Quality!!) This camera has serious wiring issues - too many connections to get fouled. I only owned it one year and it has been sent to the shop twice (in the shop more than on the boat)- and is still there. The service is ABOMINABLE - they currently can't locate the camera that I shipped them in August (now December) - despite having USPS confirmation and assigned repair number. (The two people I have had to contact in regards to the problems have also been very rude!)
I would highly recommend looking into the Sea Viewer camera line before wasting your money on this JUNK !!

I own this product and I love it!! It is so fun. It works well and it is a great conversation piece whenever my friends are out on the water with me. I paid a little more than you can find on here sorry to say, but it was still well worth it! 5 Stars all around!!!

I just got a camera like this one from another store and I think the camera is grate! the only problem I had was that when I used the charger I got a spark and the charger burned up.all of this happened because when they shipped the camera from the factory the power cable was placed under the battery and it got cut. but because of this I was able to return the item to them and get it here for a lot less.

1995 closeout model, outdated undercoverage design, average performance........2007-09-12

1995 closeout model, designed for europe, missing key frequencies used in North America, overall features and average sensitivity make this radio worth about one third the current asking price I paid, good for collecting only, not for serious dxing.
AM- Good for strong signals and rejection of adjacent 10 Khz signals.
AM- Poor interference rejection, Local/DX switch useless against strong EMI
AM- Weak signals - fair to muddled depending on composite transmission noise present on given frequency.
FM- good sensitivity/selectivity picks up a weak 100 mile distant signal over rough terrain, a signal most grundigs won't touch except for the $100+
models.
SW- Missing a lot of frequencies as the coverage does not include contiuous
coverage, it only generates reception for metered coverage bands and the gaps between them are obviously large, no overlap.

Audio- underpowered, (for the amount of batteries used- 4 AA's) even with the tone set to high, forced to turn it up all the way to hear it clearly in a quiet room on some bands, like FM, AM/SW tone strength depends on signal power received, there is no unity gain amplification to compensate for weak signal reception, all this in a 12-13 year old design, I like some
features and dislike other shortcomings, but overall I deducted 1 star for
no overlapping metered non-continuous SW coverage and I deducted another
star for the price I paid for this radio when for half this price I can
buy a nearly flawless Tecsun or Redsun radio with every possible shortcoming this radio has resolved and surpassed in design except for a few areas.

I liked the Aiwa WR-D500 for the:
-Battery compartment design reduces battery leakage contribution.
-Radio Pouch, covers radio completely and it doesn't smell like recycled gas pump hoses like some products made in China do.
-Reel antenna extension, reel housing type, not wad of wire cheapo style.
-It's not a DAK piece of junk performance-wise, but it's shortcomings leave
it borderline DAK in what is missing from it's performance.

I don't like the Aiwa WR-D500 because:
-Low audio power for 4 AA's.
-Poor SW coverage, no overlap, no direct entry, no continuous coverage.
-No dial light.
-No Stereo?
-Mono (earbud) earphone? (what were they thinking?)
-No tuning knob/fine tuning.
-No SSB, (even a $45 Degen DE1102 has SSB! $69 delivered from China!)
-Price, $58 to start, $71 total to deliver it to my door.

So, in conclusion, if you collect Aiwa radios, this is ok, but since this may well be the only seller of this model, (that I could find in english) you're stuck paying their price, but if a similiar style of radio with real
coverage is what you need, then look into a Tecsun/Degen/Redsun model otherwise, you may get less than you expect from an Aiwa WR-D500 for what you'd expect a $60 world radio should do.
