These 2-way radios are ok if you plan on using them for maybe keeping in touch with each other camping, but not for much more then that! The actual range is only about 1 mile in the country where there isn't much for interference and the batteries last more like a total of 24 hours instead of 32 hours like advertised!...

Battery Problems and Poor Service.......2002-12-16

The Freetalk FRS handsets I purchased seem to work fine (range was OK and voice was clear). However, after time I detected a design flaw that is most frustrating - the batterries drain fairly rapidly when the unit is turned off. The resistance across the batteries terminals when the unit is allegedly off lends to frustration when you reach for the radios in times of need. I sent the service center a request for help that has gone unanswered. Poor service and poor battery performance means - Don't buy these.

These radios seem to give the most bang for the buck!!! People with kids will surely love these. I have field tested my radios and I cannot complain at all. The only con someone may have is the lack of sub codes. The reception was clearer than I had expected. I like the ability to use regular batteries instead of the rechargeable battery in some radios...

Two Kenwood Radios!! They work Great.........2000-08-14

I needed two radios for my kids to use while I have my Motorola. I wanted something good quality without worrying about my kids breaking a $100 radio. These offer the same performance as anything I have used and I DON'T NEED TO WORRY AS MUCH IF THE GET LOST OR STOLEN. These are the best for the money.

We have 2 buildings across the street from each other (one a 5 story and one a 15 story) and we have to be near the window closest to the other building in order to get a clear communication.

Don't bother if you have a Mac.......2004-10-25

In spite of the item description, you cannot run this product in 2.0 mode on an Apple. I discovered this upon reading the ReadMe on the install CD. That document refers you to the Adaptec site for Max OS drivers, of which there are none.

The package has the Mac and OS X logos on it, but don't let that fool you; it isn't a 2.0 hub for the non-windows world.

So now I have a rather expensive USB 1.1 hub.

Just Average Picture.......2001-10-30

For a projection set from a quality manufaturer such as Panasonic you would expect that the picture would be ultra sharp. Unfortunately it is not. It's really not a bad set but Panasonic just can not deliver a sharp picture in a 51 inch screen. The fact is you need a very very large room to really get the best use out of this set. If you sit too close to the screen the picture is just not going to look sharp.

Beautiful and Exceptional Looking Picture.......2001-02-22

Besides having a good picture this is an excellent Projection TV in the 4 by 3 aspect ratio. Remember that term: 4 by 3. Don't pass this one up! Manufacturers are moving toward the 16 by 9 aspect ratio. For conventional antenna, cable or satellite TV broadcasts and VHS playback this is the one of a handful of the best Projection sets available. Get them while they are still around, 4 by 3 aspect ratios that is. Many people going with the 16 by 9 sets are not happy because there are very few HD signals out there at least for the next 4 or 5 years. 4 by 3 is the way to go right now. People are complaining because when viewing a widescreen program on a 4 by 3 set you get black bars on the top and bottom. On 16 by 9 sets you get black bars on the left and right sides of the screen all the time unless you watch a wide screen program! That means that you are going to get black bars on the sides for over 90 percent of what you are going to be watching for the next 5 or 6 years. You see, the FCC, the major Broadcasting Networks and Cable companies still can't agree on how they are going to broadcast High Definition Television signals. And that decision does not look like it is gong to be made any time soon! Stay with the 4 by 3 aspect ratio like this Projection set has. You can't go wrong and you will be much happier. Many people are returning their 16 by 9 projection sets according to an area dealer because they can't stand the black bars on the right and left. Remember to stay with the 4 by 3 aspect ratio!

Great Television at a low price.......2000-12-16

I just reated myself to the Panasonic P51SX30 and I couldn't be happier. This television puts you right there in the action with its great big screen. It's got a 3-D surround sound , digital comb filter and a clear viewing screen. The component video inputs provide awesome resolution and color accuracy and it has that picture-in-picture function. I don't know all the other technicalities of this T.V, what I do know is that it looks great, it's very well priced and I know I can trust the Panasonic name.
