Good phone and good speakerphone!.......2007-09-11

We bought this because of a friend who is a long-haul trucker wanting to listen in on a worship service at our house, and our old speakerphone didn't work very well. As it turned out, our friend hasn't had occasion since to listen in (usually "on the job" on Sundays, our out of range), but the phone has worked beautifully, and the times we have used the speakerphone option, the ability to communicate with a group is much improved!

I purchased this product for my mother, who uses the phone in the speakerphone mode almost exclusively. She had an AT&T speakerphone for 12 years prior to this, without problems. We thought we would give her a more up-graded phone and selected the Panasonic KX-TS105W. Big mistake! When people called her, they could only hear parts of her conversation. Entire words were cut from her conversation. Panasonic suggested to replace the "new" batteries with top of the line alkaline Duracell's, which we did. The phone still cut off words.A second call to Panasonic resulted in "send the phone to us and we will send out a re-conditioned one to you" I told them the phone was brand new and that I didn't want a re-conditioned one. They suggested I send it back to Amazon. I sent the phone back and re-installed the old AT&T unit,(good thing we kept the old one). Just wish AT&T made a nice new speakerphone,like their old one, but they don't. The old phone doesn't even use batteries and it works like a charm. So much for new replacements!

Good Phone, Works Great.......2007-06-08

Based on suggestions of others, I replaced the short receiver cord with a longer one. I use the speaker phone daily and it works great, volume and sound quality is good. I also like the big buttons, it's easy to reach across my desk and dial.

Beware of Panasonic warranty.......2007-06-01

I purchased this phone, but was disappointed with the quality of sound. I, also, was having a problem with a feature of the phone, but got that solved. However, when I contacted Panasonic, before I got the feature to operate, I was informed that my only option (if I could not get the feature to work) was to receive a refurbished model as a replacement even though I had purchased a new one. That plus having to pay any shipment charges to send it back to them seemed unreasonable. The Panasonic customer support people were extremely condescending, rude, and had a take it or leave it attitude. That was the final straw in making me return the poor quality phone. I will never purchase a Panasonic phone again.

This is a horrible, horrible product. I keep it in my baby's room. When the power goes out (as it does occasionally) and comes back on, the alarm is blaring. It woke my son up today for the LAST time. I took this sorry product and put it straight in the trash. The sound quality is lousy, the commands for the CD player and confusing and don't always work, and then there's that alarm problem. Don't waste your time on this junk.

I wanted an inexpensive clock radio & CD player with relatively good sound. The CD quality is great, but after owning the clock for just one month, the radio tuning dial broke. Now I must guess the stations, as the indicator is stuck between 94 and 96. If you plan to use this clock primarily for the radio feature, there have to be better products on the market!

Don't make the same mistake!.......2000-10-13

I just wanted a simple and inexpensive clock radio/CD combination. However, the programming is pretty dumb, and will only default to the last setting before the clock is turned off. This makes the Audiovox useless for listening to a CD before going to bed and waking upto news radio in the morning. Unfortunately, I lost the receipt and packaging while moving and thus can't return it. I should have paid the extra money for the Timex. Plus the antenna is weak and the speakers sound terrible. The night glow of the clock as bright as a night light, but the contrast is so bad you can't read the time unless you're looking dead-on within two feet.

Don't waste your time on this clock radio (all puns intended).

Bought this for my boyfriend yesterday. He spends all of his spare time playing video games on his PC and has complained about every mousepad he has ever used. He loves this mousepad, hands down.

I have a cubicle at work with a desk seam right where my mouse sits and needed a mousepad with a hard bottom so I'd have an even mousing surface. This mousepad seemed to fit the bill, I picked up, and have not been disappointed at all.

This mousepad as mentioned is incased in a metal frame that feels solidly built and has quite a bit of heft to it (which I like). The pad on the bottom is a type of textured rubber to prevent the pad from moving around on your desk without being sticky or gooey. Most mice glided very easily over the surface and seemed to be pretty accurate. I've used this with a variety of Microsoft Optical mice and have not had any problems with it. Overall, I was so pleased with this pad I bought another one for home as the one I was using, while I really liked it, would not stick to my desk and kept sliding around...definately not a problem for this pad.

While I think this is an awesome mousepad, there are a few things to know about it. Optical mice can occasionally start mis-behaving and jumping around, but everytime this happened it was the result of a hair or dust trapped directly under the optical sensor. A quick burst of canned air takes care of that and the problem goes away. Also, one of the mice I used with this pad didn't move as smooth as I'd liked. Since I wasn't able to replicate this with any other mouse, I don't blame the pad. I'll try the Pledge trick mentioned in one of the other reviews.

Overall, it's the best mouspad I've owned to date and highly recommend it.

why one star?.......2005-01-02

Because it claims to be exactly what it isn't. Supposedly a superior tracking surface, for doing artwork, gaming, etc. It would be a really great mousepad --if it worked. Dragging a basic Logitech mouse over the surface, it would occasionally jump like mad, having become confused. This is probably due to the hard, semi-shiny surface (why it is like that I have no clue, as shiny surfaces are always bad for opticals). I then placed the much cheaper, same brand, mousepad which I got for a friend, on top of the metal one, and voila-- smooth and no jumping at all, the kind of thing you would expect to see in the advanced pad. Trust me, you and I would NOT want to do artwork with the metal mousepad. Yea, I'll return it either today or tomorrow...and get something more standard that actually tracks properly. *sigh* To sum up: standard cloth mousepads are your best bet still.

Easily the Best of the Best.......2004-12-18

I'm not going to tell you about all the experience I have with other mouspads or that I've conducted double blind surveys in my spare time. What I will tell you is that I wasted money on other high priced "So Called" Gaming surfaces that work fine, until they wear out. But alas I don't believe I'll need another mousepad for a while. I've been using my Metal Art Mousepad for almost 6 months and this is by far the most amazing mousepad I have ever used. It has a heavy solid feel. It is extremely well built and has a super grippy pad to hold securely in place on your desk. The most amazing part of this pad is the surface. I've used a Microsoft Intellimouse Optical, Logitech mx700 and currently Logitech mx1000 all worked perfectly on this pad. The surface is super slick. The pores are much smaller on this pad and the surface feels much harder than the RatzPadz GS. A trick I've learned with these pads is to use Pledge on the surface before gaming. This makes the surface as slick as ice and I'll tell you the results of this mouse pad with a freshly polished surface allows me to spin my wireless mouse an average of 3 full revolutions. After trying this test on other mousepads it is a site to see.

Solidly built mousepad.......2004-10-29

I just recently brought the Allsop Metal Art Mousepad and I am very happy with it. The reason I brought this mousepad was that my desktop area, where I use a mouse pad, is uneven. I wanted a mousepad with a solid bottom so the top surface would stay flat. I am a online gamer, (first person shooters) and I use a Logitech MX510 mouse and was not sure how well it would track on the pads surface.

So far am very please with the tracking and the mouse seems to float on the service of the mouse pad. The surface is larger then my other mousepads another plus. My only complaint is the metal boarder on the edges of the mouse pad is cold to touch.
