Browsing for channels is straightforward and intuitive thanks to the scan feature, which looks for active channels while you view the display, and the monitor function, which listens for weak signals on a given channel. To transmit on a GMRS or FRS channel, merely press the PTT button while the scan is paused. It's important to note that the transmission range will vary depending on the channel and the surrounding terrain. Should the signal prove too weak for a given situation, however, you can extend it via the Power Boost button.

Additional features include a backlit LCD display with a battery strength meter, a keypad lock that keeps you from accidentally pressing buttons at the wrong time (such as when a radio is in your pocket), a silent alert option that noiselessly alerts you of an incoming call, and your choice of five different call tones. Great 2-way and decent range.......2007-01-27

This is a very good set for the money, when my kids go to the local pool which is about 4 miles away, I still can hear them well. Its a durable set as I have dropped them on concrete and it still works perfect. The camo color is nice for hunting but it might spook the deer if you use them while undercover.

Don't expect so much.......2004-08-14

The user manual is the same of GMR885, I think it is the same technology but with different color, you do not expect more.
I only got about .6 miles between my home and my job because there are some trees, the buildings are made of concrete, but with Motorola T5950 I got more or less the same performance, I think a litlle better with Motorola.

One of the radios was defective, but I returned to Amazon and they sent me a new pair in three days. This review was made with the new ones.

This thing won't pick up a tv station a half mile from the tower. Really a total waste of money. The only reason I didn't send it back was I waited too long to do so.

I got was silver which was no big deal for me. I just throw that in just in case someone had there heart set on the blue shown in the picture.

The best thing about the TV is the AC Adapter. None of the Casio's I saw at Amazon come with an AC adapter as part of the original product. The color is pretty good all things considered. Reception is reasonably good. Of course your signal is only good as your location. Expect horrid pictures in big fat office buildings where computers electronics and shileding almost insure a bad picture. At home in the county my picture quality is great at work in a big fat office building the picture and sound are ok but not without distrubance.

Tuning this unit is easy as pie. It has few buttons and those it has are basic easily understood and mastered. The unit is light weight. The picture is bright and the colors are crisp even in high light glare filled environments. The sound is ok if you want higher quality sound buy a nice set of earphones and you are set. I have watched high toned educational programs like "Jerry Springer" on this hand held television and never missed a punch, bleeped out curse word or hair pull yet due to interference.

Battery's last about 2 hours if you are lucky. I brought rechargable batteries to save money and they work fine. If their are down sides to this unit I have yet to experience any of them. For the price this is a nice hand held TV with a bigger screen than some I have seen at higher prices. I recommend this Audiovox TFT3500 3.5" Handheld TV with A/C Adapter
because it works well and so far is holding up nicely.

Quiet easy to install.......2007-05-06

I use ANTEC computer cases, and these just snap in and you plug into a 4 pin power cord and you are done. Most of my noisy computers needed fans replaced. In the old days I had noisy HDs, and that meant I could lose my data.

I have replaced fans that were screwed in and needed to be soldered. This is a snap!!

Worked instantly, but another complaint about the giant plug.......2003-05-08

This device didn't even have instructions, which made me a little nervous, but it worked instantly. It did say a PCI card was needed for USB 2.0 mode. Luckily, I didn't need 2.0. I could have bought a cheaper version, but saw too many bad reviews. I would like to complain about the huge power supply, as another reviewer did (maybe Belkin reads these...). So many power supplies are becomming politely narrower, or have cords on both sides of the power supply box. This one is a monster, and I didn't appreciate it.

Great hub, but make sure you need it!.......2002-03-16

USB ports on your computer are definitely at a premium. With a mouse, keyboard, printer, digital camera, and PDA, you're already over the limit. This is what USB hubs are for. Plug a bunch of components into the hub and plug the hub into your computer.

I did some research and decided to get a USB 2.0 hub so I'd be ready for when it is supported. USB 2.0 is reported to be worlds faster than USB 1.1. But be careful -- ...your operating system may not support USB 2.0. As of this writing, USB 2.0 support is supposed to be out soon for Windows XP and Windows 2000, but will never be supported under Windows NT or Windows 95/98/me. If you are running one of the latter operating systems, you will not gain anything....

That aside, this hub is nice because it supports USB 1.1 seamlessly. It's also good looking, which is not very important, but I guess it's better than being ugly.

The thing I don't like about it is that it comes with one of the biggest plugs I've ever seen, so it will eat up valuable powerstrip space. Sadly, it has forced me into two powerstrips.

In summary, if you are looking for a USB 2.0 hub, this one works great, but be sure you can utilize USB 2.0 before spending the extra money.

Use more ink cleaning than printing.......2004-09-18

I bought some black and color cartridges by Amazon Imaging. What a waste of money. When I first installed them, it took about six cleaning cycles before they were ready to print. Then after every ten or so copies one of the colors would clog. Yesterday red got clogged so I ran eight cleaning cycles. Once red started working, blue got clogged and that took another six cleaning cycles. After all those cleaning cycles my black cartridge was empty and I had to replace it.

I purchased these inks thinking that maybe Amazon.com had started a house brand, but from what I can tell Amazon Imaging has no connection to Amazon.com.

Avoid these cartridges. The couple dollars you might save up front will be lost to cleaning cycles and wasted paper.
