Good system with durability issues.......2005-07-20

I have used the phone system for a couple of years. It is one of the best I have found for a small office in terms of functionality and sound quality.

The durability is a whole different ball game. The key pad began to stick on the most frequently used telephones after about a year. resulting in missed calls, dialing errors, and other problems.

Phone has good sound quality in handset and speakerphone mode, great range from base station, easy to use presets and other dialing functions. However, many of the keys have already become somewhat lame. They now require you to press very hard; I have missed more than one call because the on/answer button simply would not respond no matter how hard I pressed it.

This phone system met our needs perfectly (two lines, no messaging system, speaker phone, multiple handset capability) and from that point of view its been a really good phone. However, the keypads on the handsets have become problematic: you have to really press hard to get a number to register and when you do you often get multiples of the one number you're trying to type.

Excellent phone system.......2004-03-03

This is a terrific, well-priced, and reliable phone. Reception is clear, battery life is adequate and it is simple to use. I have tried many, more expensive systems and the v-tech 2 line is the best. Additional phones can be added seamlessly and you do not need an outlet in every room. The answering machine can be acceseed from any handset and the paging functions work quite well. I now have 5 phones using 2 lines on the system and am very pleased.

I have never had problems with orders i have placed at amazon, but this was the first time. I order this ati radeon 9200 video card but i received a dds tape instead. Ritz camera was the one who sold this producto, and the had in their databases that i placed the order for a dds tape. It take about four weeks to receive a refund. I will continue buying at amazon, but i will never placed an order again from ritzcamera

the worst graphics card ive owned or come across in terms of reliability. ive had this in my P4 machine since new (a long 2 years) and it crashes all the time due to overheating and othertimes dues to running programmes (not games) it just cant handle (ie memory map 3d map viewer, cubase, ableton live, often just webpages).
ive put a passive cooler on it and still about 3 or 4 times a week it just restarts the pc for no apparent reason. occasionally the pc has to be left off overnight to let it cooldown enough as it wont boot up at all after some crashes. finally im getting rid of this junk. avoid at all costs.

An OK 3D Card, but its time is through..........2006-02-08

Since 2001 I have had an ATI Radeon 9200 3D Card installed in my computer. For a while the card performed very nicely, although I had a massive problem with the Drivers when we first bought our machine. It handled almost every game well for the period of 2001 - 2003, but after that, things slowly began to sink.

Perhaps it started when I purchased "Doom 3" for my PC. I was significantly over the minimum requirements for the game to run, but I noticed a few things. On 800 X 600 Resolution, I had a slightly fragmented frame-rate. Also, characters had a distinct shadow on one side of their face while the other was stark and bright - it looked ridiculous. And when I encountered areas with alot of detail and animation, the Game stuttered like a nervous wreck. In short, although I played "Doom 3" and finished it, my experience was marred by average Graphics Card (and CPU) performance.

In 2005 I bought "Far Cry," another 2004 game. The game insisted on defaulting my system specs to the lowest settings, although I had a 2.4 GHz Processor (the minimum is 1 Ghz) and a 128 MB 3D Card with 768 MB of RAM. So I began to play - and then I encountered my next problem. When a vehicle appeared on screen or I attempted to drive a vehicle, the game would periodically freeze. This problem drove me mad for a day. I then decided to update my drivers, but ATI didn't have any 3D Card Drivers readily available for download. I then proceeded to download a generic driver from Microsoft, and luckily that fixed the main problem - great! But I then discovered that at high (and even medium!) texture settings, some parts of the landscape would appear totally luminous green or dark navy blue - not condusive to gaming pleasure! I then eventually found the official 3D Card driver software updates and luckily it corrected this problem. However, I still experienced the occasional bout of poor framerates and game crashes.

I am now proceeding to upgrade my PC to a GeForce 6600 128 MB PCI 3D Card. I am just tired of both my now somewhat obsolete Processor (which caused some of the poor framerates and crashes no doubt) and Radeon 128 MB 3D Card. Back in its day, this card was pretty hot. But now it's kinda like the John Smith of 3D Cards. The average Joe, or whatever you want to call it. I agree with the reviewer that said that ATI has poor customer services - they don't really give you the impression that they care much about you. Another thing I'd like to add is that with the newer drivers for the 3D Card, I experienced some very annoying problems regarding video playback. Of all things in this world, video playback!

I've just had it with the endless torrents of garbage this Card is giving me. And it will undoubtedly get worse as the years go by. If you're buying a New PC, buy PCI Hardware and look elsewhere. If you really need a 3D Card, this one isn't terrible. It can do its job, but only up to a point. I would personally recommend PCI Express Cards for new and current buyers. AGP Hardware is dissipating fast and down here in SA it's nearly been outsourced. It's cheaper to buy a new motherboard, good CPU, some extra RAM and a PCI Express 3D Card than to buy a top-of-the-range AGP Card.

I say, don't even consider buying this Card. If you have one, I recommend you upgrade soon or get left in the dust. PCI just makes more sense. I have had my say, and now, you must make your choice...but just please, take heed of my words before you purchase...

Not bad.....once you get it working!.......2005-11-27

I installed this card yesterday to replace my old nVidia GeForce 3 Ti 200. The old card was giving me problems in games such as World of Warcraft where I could not see anything when I went into one of the large cities, so I decided to go with ATI for a change. I installed all the software that came with the cd after installing the card in the computer. I restarted the computer as it is required to after installing the software for a hardware. Right at the loading screen of Windows a nice blue error screen came up and restarted my computer. It did not do that again until each time I tried to load a game. A message would appear "Hardware changes have been made. Switch to default settings?" I would click on "Yes" and the beautiful blue screen came up again and restarted the game. It did this several times. I ended up uninstalling the drivers and software and let the automatic Windows hardware finder find the drivers online for me. That seemed to work fine and I did have to not install any of the software that came with the card. The installation cd is now gaining dust under my bed somewhere since I will not be using it ever again. In World of Warcraft the card works beautifully, except it will go slow in some sections to load up the enviremental textures. This might be due to my AGP slot with is a 4x and not an 8x. Overall it is a good card for the basic gamer, I gave it a 3 because of the hassle that it gave me to get it working properly.
