The integrated answering system provides 15 minutes of recording time, memo recording, and three mailboxes. When you don't want to receive messages, use the announce-only mode. You can access your messages from a remote location and file, save, skip, and navigate through them as you need.

I chose the VTech 2961 because I had used the VTech brand before and was pleased with its reception. This particular phone has many features and a great answering machine. Unfortunately, the signal fades during conversation frequently enough to be annoying. I do not recommend this phone.

We love this phone.......2001-11-30

This is one of the best phones we've had so far. Granted, the voice quality has a little static without the antenna fully extended. But, I haven't found any other cordless phone that doesn't suffer from a problem of this kind.

The battery holds the charge well, it lasts a long time away from the base, I can wander over to my neighbors and keep talking, and the physical construction quality is surprisingly good considering the price. I think the Siemens [dollar amount] phone system feels more fragile than this phone.

All in all, I think this phone is a good buy; I'm thinking about buying another one.

Very disappointing.......2001-10-19

Just the facts: A) the handset has a very uncomfortable feel to it, making a long chat very irrating B) I returned my first under warranty because there would be breaks where I heard nothing, the replacement ended up doing the same thing, sounds like you are using a cell phone, the co. blamed it on interferrance but none of my other cordless models do this and they are much older C) The digital answering machine message sounds awful. The message is often garbled and unclear making it sound like a worn out tape model. D) I'm replacing it!

VTech 2961 is passable.......2001-08-10

Two problems. First off the sound quality is low even when the handset is right next to the base. People I was talking to kept asking me to speak up, and I had to say "excuse me" all the time to get them to repeat something I couldn't hear. But the real big problem was: whenever my printer would warm up from powersave mode, the phone would reset! I never experienced that problem with any other telephone or electrical device. So this phone was unusable to me.

How many pictures will it store? It is the most commonly asked question from digital camera enthusiast but usually the question that is the most difficult to get a straight answer about. Well, considering I worked in the memory industry for over 7 years I can help clarify this perplexing question and do so unbiased as I have since changed industries.

The Centon Electronics 128MB Memory Stick-Blue, like most 128MB cards, will store on average 142 pictures when used with a 2 megapixel camera, 106 images when used with a 3 megapixel camera, 64 pictures when used with a 4 megapixel camera, 51 images when used with a 5 megapixel camera, and 40 pictures when used with a 6 megapixel camera. These numbers are based off the assumption that you are going to shoot your images at the highest quality JPEG setting available for the camera and understand that they are estimates and may be off by as much as 10 percent due to numerous factors including the complexity of the scene being shot and the compression algorithm used by your specific camera.

I truly hope this review was helpful to you in determining whether this card is the right capacity for your specific needs.

Word to the wise folks.
research your equipment capability before you buy. Lets start with some facts. Most digital cameras (SLRs too) made from 2000 to the present. Are fitted with a device called a "Hot Mirror" who's only function is to block infrared light completely and just let in visible light. what does that mean to you? Put this on your 20D or 5D SLR and you wind up with a $110 lens cap!
Don't believe me? test it for yourself... take any standard TV remote controll point it into your lens, while pushing any button on the remote snap the shutter on your camera. You should be able to see a spot of white light in the picture, the bigger and brighter the spot the more sensitive to IR your camera is. With the 20D all I got was a blurry picture of the end of my remote!
I would have returned the filter only I found that my Sony F-828 has excellent IR range so I kept it, The filter itself is excellent in quality and construction and with the right camera is worth the $110. This is why I gave it four stars, I took one away because Amazon should know better that to list products in this price range without getting the facts straight. I have been shopping with and reviewing for Amazon now for nearly 6 years and this is the first time they let me down. I was lucky I had a camera this filter will work with I'm afraid the next guy won't be so lucky.
It goes without saying that in fact ALL Infrared filters are useless with Canon EOS SLRs (this comes from Canon Customer service).
Other models that I am told do have IR capability are the Olympus Evolt 300, 330, and 500, Sony F-707, 717, and 828. Most or the pre 2000 cameras are also, so grab your remote and test your stuff before you buy.
