I owned this device for 5 months and it just stopped working... I went though all the proper channels for repair and was told they want at least $25.00 to "work" on my warranty repair. It turns out only parts are covered for a year and labor only for 3 months. This is NOT what I call standing behind your product.

DON'T BUY CREATIVE PRODUCTS! Not only are they poorly made, but Creative knows this and doesn't stand behind their own products.

Why WhY WHY do companies always discontinue their bombproof, proven and reliable products in favor of the latest, greatest and inherantly buggy? Stupid move, Creative. This player is phenomonal. The Zen Stone Plus - it's presumed replacement - isn't even close. Sigh.

Great Until It Quit After 13 Months.......2007-06-21

I owned my Zen Nano Plus for 13 months before it stopped working. The LCD will still light up for a few seconds after I try to power up, then it shuts down. My computer won't recognize it, so I can't update firmware. Since I'm 13 months out, I can't get any support from Creative, except for paying $13. I'm going to buy a different, cheaper brand. I dont expect things to last forever, but 13 months? C'mon.

Great!.......2007-05-22

I bought this for my mom sometime late last year and she loves it! It's great for a long daily commute or jog. It's so tiny and she no longer feels the need to lug around her CD player and CDs...I've put all her favories in the mp3 player. The headphones aren't that bad, but it all depends on the person and individual comfort. I came close to buying her an ipod but realized that I would have to buy a separate piece to have radio. The zen nano already has radio which is a huge PLUS if you need a break from listening to your own tunes. I recently dropped my beloved ipod and now it's BROKEN!!! so today I will BUY a zen nano until i'm able to get it repaired...if i get it repaired b/c the zen nano will do the job just fine. Buying batteries isn't such a big deal for us..our office supplies bulk batteries and we use those..shhh. each player has its own pros and cons for battery life vs rechargable in a portable player..so weigh your options and decided what's best for you!

Best MP3 Player.......2007-05-10

Very good sound and lots of space for music. It took a while to figure out how to put the songs in order and once I figured out how to use the software it was easy. Compact size is convenient. Head phones won't stay in my ears.

Unique product with excellent features........2002-12-02

After doing my homework and visiting the various stores to comarison shop on features - the Neovo M-15V was the obvious front-runner. The footprint of the unit is exceptional and it's physical features enhance it's viewable screen to compete with its larger competitors. The built-in speakers will not make you forget your Bose surround sound system, but being self-contained they further minimize the space your entire system takes up. Ad a Logitech wireless keyboard/mouse combo an you have a sweet system.

A disappointment.......2004-06-11

I shopped and shopped for a camera that I would use a on a big 6 month trip I was taking. I decided on the Canon because of the superior lens and wanted a clamshell, for the durability. However, with this camera, I found that the clamshell lenscover would often slip out of groove and thus even when I would "open" the camera, it would not get triggered to turn on. So I'd have to open and close it a bunch of times in order to get it to work. Then, after about a year, the camera started to take fuzzy pictures all the time and neither a tripod, new batteries or faster film seemed to fix it. I am so irritated that I spent the money for a camera I got so little use out of.

on this page. I, however, purchased the camera knowing full well that I would not receive the caption model, and I still suggest that this camera is a real deal.

So is the camera any good? Without question, this is one of the greatest finds around. All the pictures I've taken, in a variety of settings, have come out remarkably clear. Outdoor, indoor, closeup, etc. It has a variety of modes for those who like to tinker with settings, but the camera also has an "auto" setting which chooses the best mode for your shot. For example, it will use fill-in flash or full flash, or switch to closeup setting. The redeye reduction feature is great, not an annoying flashing light.

I've owned quite a few cameras, and it took me a while to realize that if you're going to purchase a camera with a zoom lens, you'd better be willing to shell out some cash. The cheaper zoom mechanisms/lenses are just that- cheap; they'll break easily and they don't take clear pictures. It's clear that this camera is an upper-tier model, despite the low price.
Overall, this camera is highly recommended.

No Caption & Date/Time features as advertised !!!!!.......2002-10-18

As with most of us, I received this camera with no Caption & Date/Time features. I am going to return it for a refund. I don't want to go thru the hassle of requesting for a replacement when there is no guarantee that they will ship the right one next time.

Missing the caption.......2002-10-12

Lots of these cameras have been shipped without the caption. I also returned the camera asking for a refund. After they received it, I got an email from Amazon saying that the error had been fixed and they could ship out the 'correct' item, if I prefer, instead of a refund.

I accepted but am still awaiting thew camera - let's see if it is still missing the caption...
