the product title is misleading, as the filter has nothing to do with improving contrast. on the whole, the filter makes very little difference to the display and is really only for protection. finally, 3M stamped their logo to the bottom of the filter (a bit of a nuisance) although it's cleverly removed in the product photo (still available, as of this writing, at staples' website).
