Camera review.......2006-11-06
The Canon Sure Shot family has always been a great product line however this camera is a piece of junk. I have a difficult time even shooting a simple photograph. Everytime you take a picture, the shudder button jams and does not move. I highly recommend to anyone, don't waste your money.
Okay, but not great.......2006-08-25
I purchased this camera because Canon has a good reputation with cameras. I had a Richot which I have lost and needed a new camera. The quality of the shots from the Richot seemed much clearer than those from the Canon. I find the pictures are good but not quiet as sharp as from my other cameras. I also found the manual for handling the camera to not be user friendly - which is really rare since most companies try to make it easier for the user to grasp the concept of the new camera and its features. In my eyes, the camera will do for now, but I'm not sure of how long it will be before I replace it.

Cannon Sure Shot.......2007-01-24
I was slightly disappointed as it was bigger and bit clumsier than my old Sure shot. I was pleased to be able to buy it as they are all digital now.
I was shocked that I had to go and pay £20 to pick it up from the parcel depot and thought it was a hoax but it was customs and exise duty.Apart from all that I am pleased to have a straight forward easy to use camara as a standbye that won't need charging all the time or run out of memory etc.
Love this camera!.......2006-01-15
This is a very easy to use, lightweight camera. I wish I had bought one years ago. The pictures are very crisp and true to color.
Review for Canon Sure Shot 115 w/Zoom.......2005-09-04
The Canon Sure Shot 115 w/Zoom is a great choice for the price! We took all our vacation picture with it right after getting the camera and were afraid of what we might get. We were pleasantly surprised. The features and zoom were easy to use and the quality of the pictures and lighting were excellent. We will use this camera for a long time to come.
Perfect Camera for that Perfect Shot.......2005-06-11
This camera is great for people who perfer film over digital. I bought it for a photography class and liked it so much I use it everywhere. Its size is ideal for fitting into any pocket. It has exelent zoom. It winds your film automaticly when putting the film in, after taking each exposer and winds all the way back once you have taken the last picture. The flash and shutter can easily be ajusted. You are able to set it so the date and/or time will be printed on the negative. It includes a timer which can release the shutter 10 seconds after pushing the button. Great for vacations or any other occasion. Uses any kind of 35mm film.
If you ABSOLUTELY need a zoom. If not...........2005-01-16
Let me start off by saying that I am a bit of a traditionalist when it comes to photography. All things considered, I would much rather shoot film than digital. I primarily shoot in B+W, with an SLR, process my own film, and if I need a digital copy, I'll have the film scanned. I own a terrific little digi-cam (Canon S330), but I never fell in love with the format. I also use my 24mm and 50mm lens more than any other in my bag.
That being said, I wanted to compliment my SLR system with a small 35mm camera to carry with me all the time. I considered a Lomo, but decided against it taking into consideration the reliability issues. Since I love my EOS Elan 7e and the S330 performs commendably, I choose a Canon Sure Shot 115u. I wasn't very impressed with the first few rolls, but I wasn't expecting much from a point and shoot. After about 10 or so rolls, I did some research (perhaps later than I should have). I learned that the key to a good point and shoot was the speed of the lens. Very few point and shoots have fast lenses, and a big whopping zoom only slows down the lens more. The lens on the 115u is an f5.6 at its fastest, with the zoom fully retracted. This makes camera shake an issue, flash photography a must, and a tripod a necessity indoors.
More than this, the camera is just slow period. It takes a while to open up when the power is switched on, the auto-focus and auto-exposure take an eternity, and even in the "Real Time" mode, there is more than an excusable delay when shooting. I find that all of the modes are more a distraction than a creative enhancement. If you think you need a zoom lens, you don't; move closer to your subject. If that doesn't help, the photograph probably wouldn't have been that good with the zoom lens anyway.
The pictures were OK. If this was the only point and shoot I ever used, I probably would have been happy. Canon lenses are well designed and most of the photographs were crisp and clear. When everything was set right, it took a nice photograph. However, I wanted a camera to take a photograph on the fly. I think Canon engineered a camera that performs well within the limitations of a point and shoot with a zoom. However, with the research I did, I ended up purchasing another point and shoot that I am enamored with, the Olympus Stylus Epic (I reviewed that camera as well).
If you think you need a zoom and are willing to sacrifice the ability to shoot from the hip, then go with this camera. It will serve you well. I still have mine even though it does not serve the purpose intended.

Amazon.com Product Description
Smoothly designed in a durable aluminum body, the Canon Sure Shot 115u is easy to use and can adjust to most situations to capture clear photos. The 3x zoom (38 to 115 millimeters) provides a wide range of options in snapping your subject. The autofocus system uses 3 sensors to create a sharp and clear image, even when the subject is in motion or off-center. The 115u has several shooting modes such as automatic, action, night scene, portrait, and close-up mode.
Film loading, advance, and rewind are fully automatic for easy operation, and you can even rewind mid-roll as well. The flash can be set to automatic, fill, off, or red-eye reduction. Use the exposure compensation to help show subjects out in under or over lit situations. The 10-second self-timer is useful for self-portraits or group shots. You can also imprint the date onto your photos for record-keeping. This camera kit also includes a wrist strap, soft compact case, one 3-volt lithium battery (CR2), and one 24-exposure roll of 35mm film.

Kodak Easy Share Z650 Camera and Printer Dock.......2007-01-10
I haven't really had much of a chance to use this camera. So far I haven't been able to quickly look up how to use instructions as the set came with two instruction manuals for the printer dock but did not have one for the camera itself. Both Amazon and Kodak did not have one to send so it was suggested that I download the manual from a PDF file(77 pages!) from Kodak's web site. I think I was sent a previously purchased and returned product as the prompt on the screen to E-mail photos already had some names programmed in it and the tape on the box had been unsealed, although everything seemed to be repacked OK. It even came with a lens adapter for the Z740 camera. There was no mention of this being included with package. This is my first digital camera that took me a long time to make the decision to change from a regular film load camera but went with the digital as my son has the Easy Share DX4530 but I wanted the 10X zoom. This has more features so really needed an easy way to learn the camera, not by having to download or look up on website to find instructions
Printer dock is fairly simple to use and printed out a nice photo.
