I purchased this card after going through several downloads of my 8mg card for my DC3400. This has been an excellent card that has given me no problems!

It's even taken a spill or two and it's still working without any glitches. If you need quality and durability with high quality downloads then this card is for you!

Not Worth the Price Premium.......2001-03-21

This card works fine, but here is the bitter truth.

The core of all the cards (known in technical terms as the "controller") are made by only a few DRAM manufacturers. Those handful of DRAM manufacturers then sell the "controllers" to the major flash card manufacturers (i.e. SanDisk, Kodak, Olympus, and Viking). The flash card manufacturers then simply throw some plastic casings on the controllers, slap on a label, and ship the cards. As long as the flash card manufacturer is reputable, has a good warranty, and has been around for over 5 years; you will be just fine.

What I am trying to get at? I simply want to make it clear that you should not buy a card based solely on the fact it is made by Kodak. Check the pricing against the other major manufacturers (i.e. SanDisk, Viking, etc.) and then make your decision.

Outstanding UPS -- with Expandable Battery Capacity!.......2006-12-19

This product is woefully under-appreciated, and often overshadowed by APC's "non-XL" Smart-UPS models. (For example, the popular Smart-UPS 1500VA, model SUA1500.) The non-XL Smart-UPS models are great products, but they lack one key feature of the XLs: expandable battery capacity.

Said expandability allows one to daisy-chain up to 10 (!!!) external battery packs -- model SUA24XLBP, product name "Battery Pack for Smart-ups 24v Black" -- providing an amazing amount of potential runtime!

Beyond the expandable battery capacity, the Smart-UPS XL series has all of the same features -- and the same outstanding power filtering/protection -- as the non-XL Smart-UPS models. That includes "line-interactive" operation, which provides true Sine Wave output -- and virtually no delay when switching to backup power. Another notable feature: the Smart-UPS XL series can be used when running on power provided by a backup generator. Inexpensive UPS models cannot!

And finally, there is an important thing to know relative to the load capacity of the Smart-UPS XL 1000VA. While this product is rated as providing 1,000 VA (volt-amps) of output power, the "real" capacity is 800 Watts. By comparison, the non-XL-series Smart-UPS 1500VA has a capacity of 980 Watts. The point? The Smart-UPS 1500VA does not have 50% more load capacity as you might expect. And the Smart-UPS XL 1000VA is darn close!

The bottom line? You cannot get better power protection -- or more expandability -- without paying significantly more!

Bought this to connect a DV camera to the computer to transfer the movies to computer to burn DVDs. The card installed on a Dell with Windows XP with no problems and has worked perfectly since.

Just like the other reviews say. On my Windows XP machine, I turned the computer off, opened up the case, plugged in this product, closed the case, and powered it back up. Upon boot up, Windows recognized the new hardware, automatically installed it (no participation on my part), and I was immediately downloading video from my camcorder onto my computer. Thank you, Belkin. I won't hesitate to try more of your products.

Excellent Label Maker.......2005-11-09

This unit is the second Brother label maker that I have owned. I gave my first to someone else and then purchased this one, which has more features than my first label maker. The two most important features are a USB port for connection to a computer, and an automatic tape cutter. The tape cutter alone was worth the price of this label maker. My first label maker had a manual cutter, and the blades dulled quickly and then I had a hard time finding replacement blades.

This label maker will take a variety of tape widths, from 1/4" to 1". The labels come in a variety of styles, though you may have a difficult time finding some styles and widths unless you purchase them on the internet. There are frames and fonts and various tape lengths. The display shows up to two lines and eight characters across, along with providing information regarding settings.

I have used this label maker for files, hardware, tool cabinets, and even, with the 1/4" tape, keys. Once you have used one of these label makers you will find dozens of uses for it if you get the organizing bug.

This label maker uses either an adapter for a wall outlet or a bank of batteries for portability. The batteries provide a reasonably long life, though it takes eight AA batteries to run this label maker.

One note of caution. When I first got this label maker I had a huge file project and went through several dozen tape cartridges. While one cartridge can last for a while, buying dozens in a short period of time is very expensive. I am still convinced that this label maker provides a good value because it is a time saver, but it is sometimes hard to realize that when you are buying cartridges at more than $10 each.

Once upon a time I made labels using a typewriter and tape; never again. Now that I have used this label maker I am sold on Brother and if this label maker should ever break I will probably buy an even more capable label maker, almost certainly from Brother.

Excellent Contractor's Tool.......2003-11-22

My dad recently bought one of these and he absolutely loves it. As an electrician, it is a very useful tool for him, ideal for labeling wires and boxes in his truck. Battery powered, it's always handy and even has a label peeler implement so guys and gals with short nails can easily peel the label from its back! The only problem is, since he loves it so much he doesn't want to take it to work for fear of damaging it!

A very useful machine.......2002-03-08

This Model offers a lot for your buck. It allows 6 lines of text, so you can print multi-line address labels. It connects to your PC, allowing you to micro-manage your label layout. My only complaint is about 1 in 50 labels have to be reprinted because there are lines in the text. Although it happens very infrequently, it prevents me from giving this product 5 Stars. That being said, I still highly recommend this model.
