One of the best cases out there for video iPods if you want basic, good looking protection. It fits my 160GB Classic wonderfully, and looks like it will fit well in any other iPod video. The case may scratch the shiny side if its taken out often, but since its in the case 98% of the time, I'm not one to care about a few scratches (the front aluminum of the classic is very scratch resistant, so no worries there). There is NO clear screen protector built into this case. I wasn't sure about this at the time I bought it, but I prefer it this way since I always put a screen protector on the iPod anyway. The leather scratches fairly easily, but seems durable. Belt clip is permanent, but doesn't protrude excessively. It will serve its purpose well.

Impressive is my one-word summary for this product.
The PodFolio is an exceptional case that provides both protection and style. The leather case is sturdy and the belt-clip has now survived about 4000 insert/removals onto my belt. The flip-top lid protects the screen well. The PodFolio has a slot for connection to a USB cable and a hole on the top for the ear buds.

In look and feel this case is tops. I looked at several retail outlets and all looked cheap/flimsy. This holds my 30gb ipod securely. It never slips. Magnetic catch is sturdy and keeps flap closed. Looks nice clipped on belt, but compact enough to fit in shirt pocket. Really nice, soft leather construction.
Two small drawbacks...first, I wish it had a wrap-around type belt clip with click-stops like my Blackberry case instead of the simple clip it has. Fine for walking around, but I have had it almost slip off a few times when going from sitting to standing or vice versa. Second, the opening at top for headphones in a bit small and rubs against the base of the wire. It has not done any damage yet, but sometimes a wonder if it will over time. Don't let this nit-picking prevent you from buying though. All in all the case is a great value for the money

This case is really nice. I got it after being assured it would fit the new iPod classic 80 GB and it does-perfectly! The padded flap is enough to give a little extra protection, but not so much that it makes the case bulky. It is sleek and stylish!

I wanted a case for my iPod that would protect it but that wasn't bulky, sticky, or tacky. This one is perfect! It doesn't look like a case. It makes my black iPod look like a pink iPod. It also allows me to keep my iPod in my purse without worrying about it being scratched or damaged. All the buttons are fully accessable and the whole iPod is proteced (the screen and wheel included!). This is the perfect case. I'm so glad I bought it.

This case works great for standing you iPod on a flat surface, like a desk. I play a lot of movies as background noise on my iPod and I didn't want to spend the extra $$$ on a docking station with a remote. I have no use for a remote.
Cons: The only thing that I don't like about the case is that it doesn't protect the wheel. I had an old hard case I was using and I slipped the top part into the case with the iPod. It's a snug fit but at least the wheel is being protected now.

I was quite surprised by the craftsmanship - this is a beautifully built iPod holder. The stand-up viewing feature works quite well. I was pleased to find that the part of the case which covers the iPods fragile screen has been hardened with some kind of stiffening structure. The flap that forms the base for the stand covers the face of the iPod when closed, it is a bit bulky compared to some other designs, but the additional bulk is also additional protection - I'm confident that I can drop this in my backpack without any risk that my iPod will get scratched.

The first day the belt clip broke loose, and my 80GB ipod fell to the concrete pavement. On the plus side, the leather case protected the ipod on impact.
Its an attractive and useful case without the clip, so I continue to use it.

This product has been very helpful to me. I use my iPod for music, videos & audiobooks so I'm constantly accessing it. If I was to suggest any changes, it might be to abandon the Velcro in favor of magnetic closures. Other than that, this case is excellent!

This was just the case I needed -- the leather flap and plastic screen cover protect my 80GB iPod, and the kickstand makes it easy to watch videos. The belt clip works fine; my only complaint is that there is no access to the click wheel unless you let the leather kickstand flap hang down from the belt clip. This looks strange and can be otherwise annoying, but nevertheless the product works great and does what I need it to do.

Just what I was hoping for.......2007-08-24
I'm impressed with this little thing. The case is well-made and has a very solid feel. The Nano fits perfectly into the skin and into the MiniBlaster. I didn't have difficulties with the fit like others mentioned. Getting the Nano out takes some pushing, but that's the way it should be. You don't want it falling out on it's own and hitting the pavement. All the Nano controls are accessible. The front, circular control (volume/scroll) works fine through a silicon skin and is very protected.
The reason we buy this thing is for sound and size. Size and weight are impressively minimal. You won't beat that anywhere. As for sound, it's not a home entertainment center or a Bose IPod system - it's a tiny little device that offers maximum portability. If you can bring your Bose system along with you, then do it. If you need something small and more portable, then read on.
The sound has a distinct clarity. Mids to highs are crisp and well separated. What you loose is bass. It's attenuated, but not dull or muddy. I wasn't expecting strong bass with a frequency response of 450Hz to 20KHz. It's not built for it and shouldn't be expected.
It's made, as others have said, for you and a couple of friends in an environment without too much ambient noise. If you are looking for a system that you can play at a beech party with a big group of friends, keep looking, because this isn't it. Too many voices chatting away will drown this little thing out.
In a reasonably quiet room or out on the trail, you get enough volume to really enjoy the music. It's loud enough to hear the detail in the sound. It even gets too loud for conversations and has to be turned down. Don't get me wrong, the neighbors won't be calling or stomping on the floor. It has what it needs to fill the niche that it's designed for.
I personally like the sound with the EQ set to "Small Speakers" - seems like a good balance for Classic Rock which I tend to listen to the most.
If you want a small, light and very portable speaker system to free you from headphones and make portable music a social experience between friends again, then you are onto something.

Great for use while traveling.......2007-08-11
I wanted to be able to listen to podcasts and my own music while commuting and so first purchased (for $80) an FM converter that plugged into the lighter and my iPod and then matched an unused frequency to play what was on the iPod. The sound wasn't great and it changed depending on where I was driving. I spent a lot of time trying to find the right static frequency and match it with the device. In the short time that I tried it out I had to switch frequencies twice.
So, I looked for a speaker. I decided that it wouldn't be a disaster to buy something at this price to try even if it didn't work great. It was what I was looking for! I can use it in the car and also other places where I want to play what is on my ipod so that others can hear. It is not great sound quality, but it is much better than what I was getting with the FM converter and much easier. I can either use batteries or the AC adaptor (I already have a device that converts the cigarette lighter into AC power).
It is a great solution for what I was looking for.

Don't expect too much bass out of -any- tiny speakers but as a way to turn your nano into a sort of 21st century "transistor radio" equivalent with stereo audio and a better sound quality, this little thing is superb. Talk radio podcasts are delivered very clearly and music can be enjoyed to an extent especially if you choose an appropriate EQ setting on your nano. Volume capability is decent, just don't expect to entertain an audience bigger than about two or three. Battery life is good for the 4x AAA batteries.

The sound is good from the Miniblaster, but getting my Ipod in and out of it is a real chore!! It is very difficult to do. It not only is very hard to place in the miniblaster, but getting it out is even worse. I like the size of it as it doesn't take up a lot of room when I place it on the counter. Just difficult to use. It is also hard to adjust the volume with the "skin" on it.

My 11 year old daughter saved her $$ and did some on line research and ended up buying these. She loved them for the size which allowed her to take them into bed, on the bus etc. The audio in my opinion was "OK", but she was very happy.
We had bought them along with their noise reducing ear buds which I use while traveling in planes. I can wear them x- country very comfortably
Unfortunately we had technical problems and contacted JBL. I happened to email them on a Sunday afternoon and in about 15 minutes a real person (Josh) responded. A real person.... on a Sunday!!
He resolved the issue- which ultimately required a warranty replacement.
I cannot say enough good things about this company and Josh. I woudl buy their products again without hesitation
What a disappointment........2007-05-26
On my first foray into looking for the perfect mini speaker for my Ipod, I bought the Aiptek Mist for Nano (not realizing it only works with Gen 2 Nano)---boy, was it a cute little thing. Disappointed they don't make that product for Gen 1 Nanos, I searched Amazon for the perfect replacement mini speaker that would work with my Nano Gen 1. The JLab Miniblaster had 4 stars. Folks, speak up, because I cannot be the only one who was shocked by the low quality of this product!!
*When I first plugged it in, you couldn't hear anything because of interference from my TV remote!
*When I finally heard sound it was fuzzy at best and never got much better
*The volume level is only a smidgen better than what I can hear through my earbuds when they are out of my ears!
I read and re-read the direction and am convinced I did everything properly. I even tried it with battery power only, in the house, out of the house. No luck. This is a lousy product and I am giving it one star. This is being shipped back today.

The case is well made (it fits the sansa, stitching is good, and leather looks and feels like good quality). The belt clip works well even on gym shorts. The only downside is that it makes the buttons somewhat more difficult to use. Also if you don't want the belt clip you might want to consider something else because it adds to the bulk and I don't think it can be removed.

I like this little, leather case designed for the Sansa e200 series. The belt clip functions well and the player controls are accessible while the player is in the case. I like the leather flap that closes over the front of the player and also that it has a clear, plastic substance covering the player's screen when the flap is open.
My only complaint about this product -- and it applies to every product in this category -- is that they are terribly overpriced for what they are. This item has a very small amount of leather and not much else to it, yet this item costs about as much as a pair of Skechers sneakers. Even worse are the ones that are made entirely out of plastic and polyurethane yet cost even more!

Great Leather feel but minor problems may keep you away from the product.......2007-03-13
Great Leather feel and quality but plastic screen need major improvements. First case that I've purchased had some unremovable stain on it along with tiny scratches that distract from viewing videos.
Exchanged case was well built as well except for the same annoying tiny scratches all over the plastic screen.
Second issue is when you flip the front cover to see the display, the cover bends the headphone input wire due to the lack of sufficient spacing. Since Ipod headphones have an extra protection for 1/2 inch it may become an issue ...
Bottom line is ... great for carrying your video Ipod around and browse for song selection but not so much for video podcasts.
