Don't be tempted.......2007-04-23

We've all heard it -- if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. This was the first time I bought non-Epson inks, and i took the plunge figuring there couldn't be that much difference, and if there was I could always go back to the brand name. And in the meantime, the product was substantially less expensive!

Well, in this case, there IS that much difference. Before I was half way through the first cartridge, my print heads started clogging. Black printing had so many unprinted clear lines that I couldn't even guess what the document was supposed to say.

I have run the "clean heads" cycle at least 6 times, and there's only minimal improvement. At this point I'm just hoping I can get the printer back to where it was. Even when i do, the headaches arent worth the money saved.

Stay away from these inks.

Sleek but immature.......2000-11-22

I have had lots of problems with this drive. The first time, the minCDRW just would not burn a CDR. After trying all that the technical support asked me to, I finally shipped it back to Archos. I was assured that there was nothing wrong with the miniCDRW and it was shipped back to me. The problems persisted. I shipped it back to Archos who then replied that the miniCDRW was defective and replaced it with another one. With the replacement, I had another set of problems. The miniCDRW would burn a CDRW disk but gave problems of calliberation area full and buffer underwrite error with CDR disks of standard brands like Imation, Maxell and Memorex. Interestingly, the miniCDRW could burn a HP CDR disk. The problems are still persisting and I have lost count of the number of CDRs of different brands that I have wasted in trying to get the miniCDRW to work.

Poor Quality, Feedback, Snap Crackle Pop.......2006-11-11

Hey - I purchased this for my 71 year old Mom, and it's just terrible. I do not know which importer now has the AT&T license to make phones after the Southwestern Bell purchase of it's former Mother - i.e. Ma Bell AT&T but this thing rates below the cheapie Conairs of the past. I am sure she did not keep the packing material or the reciept, so we are going to eat this one and move on to something better. If this is a VTECH phone (used to have the rights to the AT&T brand) then shame on you guys.
Can you tell I used to be in this industry? Get your act together guys, get the QC manager down to the plant in China.

I work in an industrial workplace, where any radio has to take its chances with getting banged about, so I don't want one that I'll scream in horror when I see it smashed. This Casio (...) fits the ticket. Durable enough to stand casual bumps and tight enough to keep the dust and dirt out of the innards. The radio recieves the full range of local AM/FM, even through the steel and concrete walls of the building. The cassette player is smooth, the door stays tightly shut, and it has clear reproduction. The volume can be nice and loud, with no loss of fidelity, for when the background noise is intrusive. The built-in mic works like a charm. Battery life is fair, about what you would expect out of a couple of AAs.
