This was purchased for our child to watch DVDs in the car. It doesn't draw enough power to work from the cigarette lighter, so we have a small transformer that allows us to use a wall plug. This works for us because I generally have a laptop computer that needs the transformer anyway. The battery doesn't stay charged enough to watch a total 2 hour movie. Other than that, the screen works well, the speakers are more than adequate (she uses headphones and we've added a dual headphone jack for two listeners) and it's lightweight. It's adequate but not outstanding.

Not Worth It.......2006-04-27

We purchased this DVD player after reading a good review about it in Outside magazine. Sounds like we were lucky and ours worked almost 5 months before it started to scratch the DVD's and not play anything. I sent it back three months ago and have called every two weeks since to find out when we could expect what I thought is/was going to be a NEW player for a $90 service charge. I am continually told it will be another two weeks before they are in stock. After reading the other reviews I have resigned to the fact that I will probably never see a replacement. Fine by me....I plan on buying another portable DVD player made by a company like Sony or Panasonic. Go Video's customer service is horrid. You can't even get a human being on the phone at their corporate office.

DON'T PURCHASE FROM GO VIDEO.......2006-02-10

My player didn't work properly within the first 4 times using it. I sent it in for warranty repair and received AN EMPTY BOX back! Can you believe that? THEY SENT AN EMPTY BOX! Now, I have been trying to get a replacement or even my original unit back but the Customer Service is HORRIBLE. It seems I am not alone on this issue and I wish GoVideo would get the pants sued off them for Fraud.

If you have issues, call the Attorney General of the State of Arizona. I am doing that right now. 1-800-352-8431.

You can also call corporate and get EVERYONE's voice mail (does anyone really work at GoVideo?) I think they exist to rip people off. I would recommend Amazon.com and other retailers STOP SELLING THEIR PRODUCT. It makes them look bad.

I also read a positive review in CNET and bought this - it started being flaky after about 2 months, and it's completely dead now at 4 months. I wish I read the Amazon customer reviews before buying it. Whoever gave this 5 stars either works for GoVideo or hasn't used it for long before rating it.
I will not buy another GoVideo product again.

I purchased this item and gave it as a Christmas gift (2005). It broke after only 5 days. Because I bought it on line, I can't just return it for a refund. I read a positive review of this item on the CNET website and ordered it. Then I read the negative reviews on this site. CNET should be held accountable for not giving truthful information about this product.

This phone cannot hold a charge and is constantly cutting off, despite good batteries, etc. The answering machine messages are often completely inaudible and if the caller speaks softly, the machine automatically stops recording mid-message. The date and time are always losing time and are difficult to reset after a power outage, etc. I would not recommend this phone at all.

I purchased the FIRST one and it had so much static. so as per the manufacturer's instr. I placed it in different area's of the house. Still loud and sometimes painful static! so I exchanged it TWO more times w/ the exact same results! I have two other 900mhz phones w/ not a single problem. I don't no if the answering machine made it bad or what. But I highly suggest you don't buy it!

Frankly, I'm perplexed by the bad reviews of this phone I see here. I've had the phone for a year with no significant problems. Sound quality is clear, the phone is packed with features (2 mailboxes, speakerphone, etc.), it's never lost a call for me, and it's just [money] at this writing. Yes, there's a one-second delay when you press the "phone" button to answer or make a call. Big deal! As for the handset being too small, I prefer it that way because it fits in my pocket. That's helpful when you're often carrying an infant and/or moving from room to room. My lone complaint: the handset ring is too shrill and can't be turned off.
Update: After a couple of years, the handset battery started dying constantly. I bought a new one for [money], but the problem persisted. I still use the answering machine but rarely the handset.

The worst cordless phone I have ever owned. It buzzed. Its sound quality sounded like the PA system on a comercial jet. And to add insult to injury, when you dial it makes this ridiculously loud chirping sound, which cannot be defeated, anouncing to everyone in the house that you are making a call! A piece of crap I returned it promply.

Not only are these convenient, but for the price, they offer an extremely wide angle, and good image quality. Lacking are eye diopter adjustments--this is a serious handicap. But for the price, a really good deal.

These are great for fast action sporting or even bird watching. I got them for my 4 year old son to use at the Georgia football games. He has a hard time with focus. These work great because all he has to do is look and it there. The size is nice and we have no problem adjusting from his size to mine. Ours came from an Amazon partner... Optic planet... I think. And they were great as well. Super fast shipping and great contact from start to finish.

As we bounced around on dirt roads and cross country in Land Rovers, the Perma Focus feature was outstanding and made things simple and easy! :-) The magnification level was perfect for almost every scenario we came across. Anything that was outside of about 80 feet came through in crystal clear vivid color and clarity. It really made for up close and personal viewing of all the animals we saw. By far, these were the best investment I made before the trip! I can't imagine being without them now on such an expedition. Really fantastic performance and a great value to boot!!!! We just got these for a trip to Alaska. I LOVE them! They are so easy to share. The sharpness of the image is AMAZING! My Dad wears glasses and I don't. No problem. We can both see CLEARLY! The amazing part is he doesn't need to have his glasses on! My husbands eyesight is completely different than mine, same story.Very cool item! Very well constructed. Highly recommended!
