Survived water.......2007-09-25
I have had my player for a little over year now, and I like it. But what I want to tell you about is it's durability. I have dropped my mp3player, and all the normal things to abuse it. But two nights ago I dropped it in a cup of iced tea. I got it out, got the battery out, and blew on both the player and battery it to dry them. The music stored on it still played, and after one day of drying out, the radio works as well. That's what I wanted to say.

I owned this device for 5 months and it just stopped working... I went though all the proper channels for repair and was told they want at least $25.00 to "work" on my warranty repair. It turns out only parts are covered for a year and labor only for 3 months. This is NOT what I call standing behind your product.
DON'T BUY CREATIVE PRODUCTS! Not only are they poorly made, but Creative knows this and doesn't stand behind their own products.

Why WhY WHY do companies always discontinue their bombproof, proven and reliable products in favor of the latest, greatest and inherantly buggy? Stupid move, Creative. This player is phenomonal. The Zen Stone Plus - it's presumed replacement - isn't even close. Sigh.
Great Until It Quit After 13 Months.......2007-06-21
I owned my Zen Nano Plus for 13 months before it stopped working. The LCD will still light up for a few seconds after I try to power up, then it shuts down. My computer won't recognize it, so I can't update firmware. Since I'm 13 months out, I can't get any support from Creative, except for paying $13. I'm going to buy a different, cheaper brand. I dont expect things to last forever, but 13 months? C'mon.

I bought this for my mom sometime late last year and she loves it! It's great for a long daily commute or jog. It's so tiny and she no longer feels the need to lug around her CD player and CDs...I've put all her favories in the mp3 player. The headphones aren't that bad, but it all depends on the person and individual comfort. I came close to buying her an ipod but realized that I would have to buy a separate piece to have radio. The zen nano already has radio which is a huge PLUS if you need a break from listening to your own tunes. I recently dropped my beloved ipod and now it's BROKEN!!! so today I will BUY a zen nano until i'm able to get it repaired...if i get it repaired b/c the zen nano will do the job just fine. Buying batteries isn't such a big deal for us..our office supplies bulk batteries and we use those..shhh. each player has its own pros and cons for battery life vs rechargable in a portable player..so weigh your options and decided what's best for you!

Panasonic KX-TG2432B is a nice phone.......2007-03-19
I ordered this phone several months ago and we've liked it for the most part. The only minor criticisms I have of the phone are these:
1. The buttons are a bit small.
2. The batteries don't hold a charge for long.
I'm not old enough to need bifocals, but I can imagine that folks with poor vision might have trouble pushing the correct buttons. Also, with two phones, the short charge period isn't a big deal. You can easily switch to the other phone if the one you're using runs out of a charge.
Cordless Phone.......2007-03-04
This was a gift for friends and they have been completely satisfied with it. My one friend has a severe hearing problem, but by adjusting the volume of the speaker and the ringtone he has had no problems. The phone book is very convenient, and it has many other handy features and settings. I have a similar model by Panasonic and am very pleased with mine.
Okay w/drawbacks.......2007-02-22
Replaced a Uniden BCT648-3 with this Panasonic when my parents' Siemens cordless system failed (which I had given to them) and they needed a new cordless pronto. The Uniden was easy to use and performed v well in all aspects.
This particular Panasonic model is a let down from the Uniden. The handset is not user friendly; "talk" and "end" buttons are tiny on either side of a big silver cursor control. Changing settings (like turning the ringer off or changing volume) involve a labyrithine menu system not available while you're using the phone. If someone is unaccustomed to the phone, I have to dial it for them as it is just not intuitive.
The sound quality varies greatly, sometimes sounding as if you are underwater and this is unpredictable and not curable (even with "voice enhancement" which usually makes it worse).
The range is good (if it's not doing the aforementioned) and the answering machine easy to use and the base/answerer has a small footprint.
However, this is not an expandable phone; you get two handsets and that's it. I needed three in my current housing situation so I bought a cheap GE 27851 with three handsets for less money. It doesn't have a speakerphone or other features, but is simple to use and performs adequately.

i've owned panasonic cordless phones for quite some time now. this one has all the features i wanted, and performs nicely for the most part.
the only complaint i have is that one day the phone sound quality degraded a bit (tinny quality) -- i contacted tech support and they had me 'reset' the phone (unplug it, basically). fixes it for a while, but the problem returns.
