Works fairly well, a bargain, but has some drawbacks.......2007-02-16

Ink cartridges are way too expensive; I was thinking of buying a whole new printer when I saw these Nu-Kotes. I have used both the black and the color cartridges; they look pretty much like the Epson cartridges, fit perfectly. The seller fills the order quickly. But after about a couple days' use, there is a funny smell from the printer. It's not bad, and didn't keep me from buying more -- but also, particularly with the color cartridge, there are gaps and lines when printing; need to keep cleaning the heads to get a good print. Still, it's worth it for th overall savings.

Consumer Reports rates PrintPal the highest of non-Epson cartridges, so that may be a better bet, but it isn't available through Amazon, unfortunately.

a rave and a caution for epson 740 printers.......2007-03-09

the product is an excellent replacement for the epson oem ink. i've been using it on an
old work horse 740 for about 8 months. almost always have to run the epson utility once to clean
the print head. after that it works fine. i am picky about black being black (vs magenta or green
tint). the epson oem works perfectly with Kodak matte paper. the dataproducts is the closest
i've been able to get to duplicating this - at a quarter of the price!!. there is a very very very subtle
magenta but it is so much better than any other refills or compatibles and i've tried most of them.
The CAUTION. if you're still on a 740 - i'm probably the only one in the world who still has one - there
are two plastic horns on the dataproducts cartridge that are not compatible with the 740 ink slot.. take
anything sharp and cut them off. then it fits fine.

As I recall this is the item that you cancelled the order on. I did secure an 8 port model which works just fine, but of course I never received a 5 port model which is more feasible to use/sell.

Great little hub.......2006-03-21

Just plug and play. I needed to watch the booting sequence on a new prototype device. Plugged this little hub into my switch then the boot PC, device and analyzer into the hub. An inexpensive and easy solution. The only thing I don't like is yet another wall-wart power transformer.

Have 12 of these........2005-11-15

I'm an engineer at a post production company. We often have visiting production companies in and out, constantly moving and adding PC's and network printers. There is only one jack in each office, so these little hubs come in handy. So far I have had none fail. The only reason I give it four stars is, as the manual states, when you use the uplink port the adjacent port can't be used as they are interconnected. This usually catches people who just come and plug in and then wonder why they can't get on. Other than that, no complaints. A great hub for the money.

I used the linksys to connect a TiVo to an otherwise completely Mac wireless network consisting of Airport Extreme and several Airport Express Units. Fit in flawlessly. Absolutely no problems.
