I just purchsed these speakers as part of the PRIMUSHCSCH Home Theater Pack of speakers. Look at (professional) reviews of the Infinity Primus speakers and you'll see these speakers were created for musicality first, although home theater sounds great, too. I first and foremost want a system that sounds tight and clear playing at all registers. The clarity and presence of these speakers is amazing, and packaged with the sub they are seamless (just don't expect low end from these speakers alone). This system delivers in all respects. It includes 4 Primus 140 bookshelf/sattelites and one center speaker as well as the sub. This package without the sub sells around $300, but look for the one with sub included and you will be blown away by the sound and the price.

I'm always hesitant to order electronics when I have not had an opportunity to "experience" them in person. These Infinity speakers have changed my mind. They look and sound great. Lots of sound from a small package. I would highly recommend this product!

Infinity Beta 20.......2004-12-19
The Infinity Beta 20's produce a very smooth, natural sound - without booming bass or shrill highs found on many speakers. I compared this with others in the Infinity line (Primus 150), as well as from Bose (201), Yamaha (6490), and Klipsch (KLIRB15).
New out of the box, they sound great, and after a few weeks of use, they sound even smoother. The CMMD drivers do an outstanding job of producing great bass while not being punchy. The highs are very clean and clear, without being raspy or harsh. I like the flat, non-coloring texture of the sound; they just simply re-create what is there, and therefore sound like a live performance.
If you go to a store to listen to them, ask how long the speakers have been on display, the longer the better. Ask them to set the receiver / amp to stereo mode with a flat EQ or treble and bass so that the receiver doesn't color the results. And make sure the amp has solid clean power, since these speakers reveal any clipping when a small or cheaper amp (especially a HT multi-channel) is pushed towards its limit.
I think you will agree that for the price (and size), they are hard to beat.

I am run a set of these with a 40 watt amplifier and they sound very good. These speakers have plenty of base response for that old time rock and roll. You do not need a big amplifier to drive these speakers. Highly recomened!

This is the third radio I've had. It gets good reception and is easy to use. I tend to be rough on the radios I've had and they last well. The previous two eventially begin to turn themselves off. I tried a similar Sony radio and the static and hiss were unbearable.
I would recommend this radio.

I think it is way too expensive for just a radio. i bought it 3 years ago to go running. this was before mp3 players were getting popular. I ran with it and it lasted and I think it still works but honestly for just a radio it is not worth it. I still have scars on my arm from the armband and it was a lot bigger than it looked online.

This radio is nice. The buttons are easy to use, only uses one battery, shows battery status, but I was expecting better reception of hard to receive stations which I don't find to be the case. My mom however lives in Toronto where stations often overlap and she finds it works excellent for separating close frequencies. She owns two.

Save Your Time and Effort.......2006-10-11
I'm always out in the car listening to a good radio show when I get home and want to continue listening. I searched the internet for a portable radio within my means and found this. From the reviews I read it seemed like a reasonable choice. Well don't waste your time. Even with digital tuning I got so much static I could not enjoy listening to the program. I also tried switching to city mode. You could twist the radio around for better reception but it still not give you anything static free.
