This is the standard PS3 controller, but it works great! The battery life is truly exceptional and never gives out on me in the middle of a game. There is no rumble pack in the new generation of PS3 controllers, but I think that is a good thing because battery life increases significantly.

I assume they size the thing for an average teenage boys hands. Well my hands aren't small like that and I have to fight just to hold on to this thing and try to reach the buttons since they are not located for comfortable use especially the R1, L1, R2, L2 bottons. I was excited that they chose a boomarang controller early on but that fizzled out and we're stuck with the same dinky design as before. Microsoft needs to design one for the Playstation 3.

I bought this camera and loved the look of it, the feel of it, the photos, the size . . . all until, within 2 weeks of buying it and without anything at all happening to the camera to provoke this problem, the lens stopped opening. I would turn on the camera, it would start up but the lens cover would not open. I would turn it off and turn it on again and it would sometimes open the second time and sometimes not. I loved the camera so much I thought I'd give it a day to "sort itself out," but it just got worse. So, I'm sending it back and going to try to find a suitable replacement for what the camera was before it broke.

My daughter wanted a new camera for college. It had to be slim, and easy to use. Sony DSCW55 had very good reviews from previous customers. Picture was clear and didn't break or have problems after a few months of use. She loves it.

I purchased this product in February of 2007. It is now September and I have not been able to use it since July. One day it just started acting really weird, the power button was flashing, which means the battery is dead, but even after repeated charging it still would not work. I purchased a new battery to see if maybe something had happened to the original one and it still did not work. Per Sony's customer support I sent it to their camera repair center. Of course, they called me and told me that they could not duplicate the problem. I told her that it would work for a short period of time only with a fully charged battery and she said the technician would wait a while and try it again.
It came back 2 days later and it still doesn't work.
Sony's customer support, in Tel-Aviv or wherever, told me to send in my charger to the same repair center since they claimed my camera worked correctly. That came back as well, apparently they don't fix accessories. The customer service guy told me that they usually just tell people to buy a new charger, which is $59.99. The "accessories" are supposed to be under warranty as well though, so why should I pay for another charger when the one they gave me is faulty?
Now I have to send my camera back to the repair center, again, so they can fix it for real this time. Meanwhile, my camera still doesn't work, 3 months later.
I will never buy a Sony product again, after all this BS. I have to pay to ship it each time as well, and I am fed up!

I'm very satisfied with this purchase - the price was right and it looks right at home on my desk. The squared off angular design looks sleek and professional, and the compact size of the main unit and the speakers don't overwhelm my small desk. I tried the MP3 feature and it works well - displaying the ID3 tags and the disc name perfectly from my CDRW disc. The biggest drawback to the system is that it doesn't really output enough volume to fill a larger room, if that's what you're buying it for. At higher volume levels, you can literally hear the speakers strain and struggle to maintain clarity and fidelity. At lower volumes, it maintains very good sound quality. The controls on the top of the main unit are replicated on the remote, so you can use either and still maintain full control of the stereo. One note - in the product illustrations, the LED display is blue, but in reality, it has a backlit amber display.

I was a little skeptical at first when I ordered this, but after reading the reviews and the reasonable price of the unit I thought I would give it a try. I am impressed! It has excellent sound and more than loud enough. I bought it for my wife for her studio and she just loves it! The MP3 and CD sound just incredible. It comes with be an FM and AM antenna and it is decent but for me the highlight gain is the CD / MP3 player.
If you want a unit for good tuner reception I am not sure about this one, but then again I live remotely and maybe it is just bad reception due to where I live. If you want a unit with incredible sound with CD's, this one I recommend!
It is also very easy to setup and use. The nice thing is that you do not need the remote to work it as all the controls are on the top of the unit as well!

The Sony Micro Component System is perfect for any bedroom. It's small, it sounds great, and it's sold for a reasonable price. My only complaint is that it didn't come with the cable that connects the mp3 player to the stereo. I still highly recommend this stereo system.

The little stereo has clear sound for acoustically recorded music.It is great for chamber music and opera. The stereo takes very little space and is quite easy to hook up and operate. It is perfect for the night table, and can even be programmed like an alarm clock, to wake one up with music at a certain time.

I got these cute little things in desperation after having a set of Bose TriPort earbuds for almost a year and losing the rubber tips again and again. I swore I wouldn't use them anymore.
I've had these for a couple of months and simply love them. They fit perfectly in my ear and it's much, much more difficult the get the rubber tips off.
The real kicker is the sound quality. The full spectrum is audible, and the fact that the rubber tips seal inside your ear provides a certain measure of noise isolation (not cancellation, of course, but isolation). This makes a big difference in hearing both musical resonance and depth of voices in the spoken word.
Don't hesitate - they're a steal for the price, quality, and peace of mind.

These are amazing. Forget the price tag (which itself is a bargain), these ear buds sound really good. I did a side-by-side comparisons with Apple (in-box), Creative (in-box), Phillips noise reduction and Sennheiser PXC 250 noise reduction and I could not believe that JBuds sounded better! The ambient noise blocking is pretty good too. However, I am not sure how well it will work in a plane. The in-ear fit is pretty comfortable. Although no audiophile, I am pretty fussy about my sound quality. JBuds definitely made me happy.

Sony Playstation 2 Dualshock Controller Black.......2007-09-08
Just like the last 3 Sony controllers I bought, this one sucks. As soon as I plugged it in, and turned on the game, the person I was trying to control starting moving backwards at a pretty fast clip. When I got it to stop moving backwards, he starting moving to the right just as fast. It was impossible to control him. I have since purchased a controller from Alienware, and it works perfect. Sony sucks. They have lost all interest in quality control. They are going on their name alone. I have 2 sons who have exactly the same problem with thier Sony controllers. I was going to send it back, but I just figured it would be a hassle, so I threw it away. Forget Sony if you want anything with high quality. I am not someone who abuses the game counsels or any thing that has to do with them. I am 61 years old and have been playing video games for a looooooong time. And my sons are 32 years old and 41 years old. They are not abusive little kids.

I've only used this Sony DVR a few times, but really enjoy using it! This is my first voice DVR, coming off the old fashioned microcassette recorder. This Sony is awesome and the price is right! I haven't used this DVR with my laptop yet {it has a PC component to it}, but everything else is great, especially the very clear playback quality. It's touchy, in that if you knock it even lightly, or touch the mic too much, you can hear it on the playback, so stay more hands-off if you can, but it's not a big deal for me. Lots of space for multiple recordings; organized folders to store different recordings; super easy to carry and store. As a newspaper reporter, I highly recommend it!
Sony DVR for PC.......2007-09-22
The recorder is of a nice compact size and manages to pick up a decent range of sound (i.e. I can record lectures from the 5th row, rather than placing it up on the podium next to the professor). However this product is in no way shape or form compatible with Mac. That should be in big bold letters under the product description. I had to load the software and recordings onto my roommate's computer.

The digital recorder came in 2 days as promised. It contained more features than I thought. I am using to record choir rehearsals. I am able to divide material by songs or by date of rehearsal. The best feature is the ability to download music from my computer and use the recorderSony ICD-P520 Digital Voice Recorder PC Compatible just like an MP3 player. That is so cool. The instructions that came with it are very easy to understand.

For a little more than 50 dollars, you get both a IC Recorder and a PC Compatible recorder. This product is definitely underrated. I recorded certain speeches in big auditoriums with various background noise, yet I still manage to capture the speaker's voice very clearly. Transferring to the computer for both editing and saving is easier than ever! Just plug and play!What more to say when Amazon offers the cheapest price you can find. At least it was when I bought it. Whether you're a student, or someone professional who needs a voice recorder, get this baby. It is value for money and equipped with more features more than any other machines!
Really great recorder........2007-09-16
This recorder is really small and easy to use. I love that there aren't any tapes to buy, which is more garbage for the environment. I also highly suggest using RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES, it's good for the environment, and this thing can eat up batteries if you use it often enough.
I haven't tried putting the recordings into my computer since I still have about 20 hours of recording time left (in High Quality mode). This is good for recording lectures. I really like this product so far. I'm not sure if there's a mode where you can hear all your recordings continously because I haven't really read the manual.

This is by far the best camcorder I have ever owned, at first when I read the manual it seemed kinda complicated to understand but once you do it the first time its very simple, I would highly recommend this item to everyone I know, I promise you want let be let down.

I bought this for a present for my sister-in-law and brother-in-law for their baby shower. They loved it and have already been putting it to great use. They love how you can record directly to the DVD's and play them in your DVD player w/o having to run it through the camcorder. I wanted this feature so they could make videos of the baby to send to both sets of grandparents who live out of town. Thus far the camera has worked great.

The W580i Walkman phone offers a full-function digital audio player that's compatible with MP3 and AAC files. The front of this slider phone includes dedicated music control buttons, and it includes Sony Ericsson's innovative "shake to shuffle" feature. With Shake control activated, press and hold the Walkman key and flick your wrist. A vibration lets you know that the track has been changed--a new song from your current playlist is randomly selected and automatically played.
With the TrackID service, you can identify any song that you can hear by just recording a snippet of sound using the microphone. After sending the file for recognition, you'll have the name, artist and album sent to your phone. Other Walkman features include MegaBass enhancement for added depth of sound, a flight mode that lets you keep listening to tunes with the phone's network connectivity turned off, and Disc2Phone software for easy transfer of song files between phone and PC. It also includes a built-in FM radio with RDS, which displays the name of the currently playing song (when tuned to compatible radio stations).
This phone provides Bluetooth version 2.0 wireless connectivity with EDR (enhanced data rate), and includes profiles for communication headset, handsfree car kits, and audio/video remote control. Lovin' this phone!.......2007-09-26
So far so good.... I got the phone the other day and I couldn't be happier. It looks good and sounds great! It is slick and just really fun to play with. I changed cell carriers and I am really happy with AT&T now. THe only thing that I have to get used to is the small number keys. I think the reviews before me (at least 2 of them) sum up the functions of the phone. I have had no problem playing music. I downloaded some MP3's onto my memory stick and all is working well. I even listen to the FM tuner, it's fantastic. I am REALLY happy with this phone.
Can't get music to play.......2007-09-22
It doesn't come with a software disk and according to Sony Ericsson it's supposed to, so who knows. Otherwise you have to download a 43.8 mb file in order to be able to download and then play your songs. I have tried for two days to play a song I downloaded. I then downloaded a song from a different site to get a different file format (WMA) and it won't play either. Even downloading from a Sony music site, the format is an ATRAC which is not recognized by the phone. If I had the software I'm assuming this wouldn't be a problem.
Besides the other files you need to download, Microsoft Visual C++ 2.6 mb, DisktoPhone 7.8 mb, Microsoft .NET framework 22.4 mb, for a total of 77.6 mb of downloading. Sony Ericsson says they can't send me a copy of the disk because it's supposed to be in the box.
Excellent Music Phone !.......2007-09-15
I have had this phone for one week now and it is great! About 1 year ago, I was looking for a phone with a music player and not having to buy an mp3 player or ipod so i decided to buy the Samsung SGH-d807. The samsung is far from being a music phone, especially with the low quality OEM Samsung headphones ! USB music tranfer is slow, (about 25sec per song) and most of the time it woudn't let me transfer songs ! ( i ended up buying an ipod shuffle just to listen music on the go )
In the other hand, the unbeliavable Sony Ericsson w580i and its 2.0 USB cable lets me "drag and drop music, pictures, vidoes..!" straight from my computer to the phone with no hassle ! Transfer speed is about 10sec per song.
- Headphones sound REALLY GOOD, in my opinion.. they sound better than my ipod.
- My phone included a 256mb memory stick M2, but i recommend getting a 1gb or 2gb.
- This phone sends standard messages in one second and multimedia messages in about 3-5sec.
- The cool thing about the Walkman on this phone is that while you are listening to music, you can minimize the music player and use your phone without having interrupt your song. When you recieve a call or text, your music will fade and then resume when you are done. No need to push stop and play.
- The battery last a loong time, 9hours talk time, 14days in standby and 20hours in Walkman mode. The battery will drain a little faster if you play your music straight from your folder, so it is best to use the Wlakman when ever you play your music and save power.
- From my experience, Sony Ericsson phones have excellent reception and call quality (phone or speaker). The other line can hear you loud and clear just as they would from a regular house phone. (There is an option in "Settings" where your number is automatically blocked on every call you make without having to dial *67 before making a call, wich is great for your privacy. )
- 2.0 mega pixel camera is awsome ! Cristal clear pictures every time, whether you are taking a picture in 2mp, 1mp or vga format. (Note: you can only zoom in when you are in VGA mode, and your pictures still come out very good !
- The nuber pad on this phone is a bit small. I personally have big hands and dial / text with no problem. The keys can break easily if mistreated.
- Phone has very good graphics, so you will always enjoy viewing your picture and playing games with little loading time. Speaker is LOUD ! . . Fast Internet, just as fast as 3g phones !

A long-time Motorola phone user now converted. Not only is this phone lightweight and amazing looking, it's feature packed.
Pros:
- Crystal-clear calling. No static and loud when needed.
- The screen is amazing. The resolution is awesome. By far the best I've ever seen on a phone this size.
- This phone is tiny; in a good way. Super-slim and tucks nicely in your pocket. Being that it's a slider, you'll never have to worry about pocket-dialing. :)
- The software is very easy to navigate. This is nicely improved over the Motorola interface of my older RAZR.
- The MP3 player rocks; no pun intended. The Walkman software lets you sort by Artists, Albums, Tracks, Playlists and more. This is light-years ahead of the my old RAZR's MP3 player. This one rivals any standalone MP3 device I've used.
- The stereo headphones that comes with it include a 3.5mm adapter. While the included headphones sound great, this adapter gives you the flexibility to use your Bose, Shure or other stereo headphones. A very nice option.
- Unlike "some" other sliders, the camera is protected and kept under cover when the slide is closed. This works great in keeping dust off the lens.
- The 2.0MP camera is actually pretty good. It takes great outdoor photos.- I LOVE the fitness/step counter. It measures distance in steps and calculated miles along with the calories you've burned. It also keeps a daily average and each days results.
Cons:
- No 3G
- Sony Proprietary Memory Stick Micro M2 versus easy to find and less expensive MicroSD
- No LED Flash or Photo Light
In conclusion, if you are looking for a super-slim phone with great call quality and superb music capability, look no further. This Sony wears the Walkman name with pride.

After reading mediocre reviews about HD DVD players, I decided to go with the up-converting player. I'm happy with my decision. The DVD movies I play have a clear and bright picture and good sound. I think the OPPO DV-970HD Up-Converting Universal DVD Player was a wise choice.

This DVD player performs very well. All DVDs play smoothly, without any problems, even rented DVDs that may not be cleanest. The only minor annoyance is that there is a slight delay before the tray will open when the machine is first turned on. The impatient user may have to push the eject button a couple of times before the tray opens. But that's a very minor annoyance, and something most people won't even notice.

So far I love it. It really does make my standard DVDs look fantastic. It doesn't seem to make as big of an improvement on newer movies as it does on older ones. I hope it is reliable, because this DVD player will keep from buying an HD-DVD or a Blu Ray player for quite some time.
