The Atrium 45 speakers have a wide dispersion pattern, and they're very efficient, operating on as little as 10 watts per channel. They're designed to deliver good sound quality across a large listening area, but Polk recommends multiple-pair setups if you want high sound levels in an outdoor setting, as sound tends to dissipate more quickly outdoors than in.
The speakers' white finish is paintable to match your decor or trim color--you can even paint them green to blend with foliage. Their sculpted front baffle and rounded enclosures minimize diffraction (sound reflecting off of hard edges) for more open and lifelike imaging, and their rustproof aluminum grilles offer 55 percent open area for better high-frequency response than speakers with denser grilles.
Sealed-enclosure (acoustic suspension) cabinets result in taut bass, and the speakers' 2-way design incorporates a 4.5-inch long-throw polymer cone driver with butyl-rubber suspension and a .75-inch dome tweeter with a neodymium magnet to broadly distribute high frequencies. Gold-plated, 5-way binding post terminals will never corrode. The plugs also allow hookups in a range of methods, including convenient banana-plug-terminated speaker cable.
The Atrium 45 meets or exceeds ASTM D5894-UV Salt Fog, Mil standard 810 Immersion and Mil standard 883 Method 1009 8 for salt and corrosion tests.

great price for decent speakers, they look great and sound just fine, mounting is very simple. i have them on the far end of a 30x16 deck and they fill the whole area with plenty of sound. one cool thing to consider is an Audioplex outdoor volume control which is what i installed with these, $95 on partsexpress. it's good to have especially if your source is an ipod, with the different source volumes on a lot of songs, plus just never having to go inside to turn it up or down is pretty cool :)

Easy to mount (running the wires through the wall and under the house to the stereo inside was the hard part), and now I have music outside without having to turn it up super-loud inside. They sound great!
Polk outdoor speakers.......2007-07-23
I purchased 2 sets of these speakers for my 1 acre backyard. They were a breeze to mount, but the mounts only afford you the ability to go horizontally or verically. No big deal really, as I was able to tilt and direct the sound where I wanted it. I was impressed by the depth and clarity from these little workhorses. I like to listen at moderate levels, but when I took them for an all out test run, they really sounded consistent. No break-up or excesive noise. If you are comparing to other similar speakers, look no more. These speakers appear to be marine durable and they can't be beat for the price.
Great Outdoor speakers for the money.......2007-07-21
I purchased these speakers to replace an older model that died. These are great because they are truly all weather speakers and don't require mounting under a covered area. I have mine mounted on each side of my deck and they sound great.

I am very pleased with these speakers. I have them mounted outside under the soffit above my deck. I was a little concerned about outside speakers disturbing the neighbors, but with these speakers you don't have to crank them up loud in order to get a clean full sound. I don't think that you could find a better pair for the price.

Though full-size VHS camcorders are becoming less and less common, some people still prefer them to newer, smaller models. Despite their larger size, standard VHS camcorders offer two advantages over VHS-C and 8mm cameras. First, the tapes can immediately be played through a VCR, rather than using an adapter or requiring the camera to be connected to the TV. Second, the shoulder-mounted shooting style necessitated by the camera's size makes it much easier to shoot smooth, steady videos.
The VM8500LA features a 16x optical zoom, as well as a 240x digital zoom. The camcorder can also shoot in as little illumination as 0.3 lux, and if it's too dark for good footage, there's a built-in auto light. Five digital fades and five digital effects give you the opportunity to add a touch of professionalism to your footage. Digital image stabilization helps to keep the shakes out of your videos. To compose and review shots, users have two options: a black-and-white optical viewfinder and a 3-inch swivel-mounted color LCD. A built-in playback speaker lets you hear mono audio from the footage you've just shot. A manual character titler also lets you label the footage you're shooting.
To make sure your shooting experience is as easy as possible, the VM8500LA automatically sets shutter speed, iris, white balance, focus, and backlight compensation. It will even automatically select macro mode when appropriate. The VM8500LA comes equipped with a rechargeable battery and an AC adapter/charger.

don't purchase... vista drivers are not available. the d-link web site
indicates that they are coming soon. when i emailed asking when the
drivers would be available they responded... Unfortunately we do not have
an ETA as to the release of Vista drivers for this unit. Please check the
support site often for updates.
The D-Link DGE-560T is a great performer........2007-06-07
I had one open slot between my SLI video cards for a PCI-Express card and this card works great there. It was easy to install, hooked up to the internet right off, and keeps me in the game. It was a very good card at a very good value (especially if you looked at prices elsewhere).

This is a great-looking, well-made, and high-quality cable. It could be used for any RCA-RCA connection, if you need 12 feet. I actually used it for my new subwoofer. Dayton makes all kinds of cables and other audio accessories that are high quality, and very reasonably priced. There's no need to buy the stunningly expensive stuff from Monster or other such vendors.
