Good DVD Storage for the price.......2007-02-11

I wasn't expecting much since the product was made out of laminated pressboard, but once assembled, the dvd storage spinner looked rather nice. I'm not mechanically inclined, so assembly of the dvd storage unit took longer than expected and I did leave out 6 of the wooden dowels even though the assembly directions were diagramed, but all in all, I think the storage unit will not fall apart (hopefully). The price was excellent (about $32).

Needs to be packaged better, but a great value.......2007-02-01

Positives: Parts all labeled clearly; the little pieces were all in individual bags and labeled with the letter matching the instructions (instructions say use a "K" screw, then open the "K" baggie); predrilled holes were all spot on and everything fit correctly upon completion; quick and easy to construct; spins solidly and smoothly; instructions were clear and simple; I think it looks good.

Negatives: Due to inadequate protection, all four of the vertical side panels had a scratch of some nature on them; one of the shelves had a chip in the corner, even though those boards were wrapped; had to wipe down all the boards to clean off this grayish residue off them here and there.

Overview: It's not furniture grade, it's just laminated pressboard (1/2 in. for the sides, top and bottom plates; 3/8 in. for the middle shelves and dividers). But in context of the price (something like $35 delivered), it's an outstanding value. The marks, other than the chip in the shelf, are not visible from the couch, and it looks good otherwise. The color is a brown, but a dark brown. Sits on my black shelving fine.

FYI: each of the eight shelf spaces are 10 3/4 inch wide by 8 1/4 inch tall.

Bottomline: If I had to redo my purchase, I'd buy this product again.

Assembly not so bad!.......2007-07-11

This item works just fine, once assembled. Assembly can be intimidating, as one empties the box and is confronted with what seems a myriad of parts. The instruction diagram on the box is very helpful, but, in my case, it was covered up by the shipping label! Once I carefully peeled that off, the item was together in minutes.

Considerable assembly required............2006-12-03

What the picture of the CD/DVD Spinner Rack DOESN'T tell you is that it arrives in approximately 23 pieces with nothing but a very basic line drawing to guide you through the assembly. Because it is fundamentally a piece of cheap, plastic, um, stuff, (and what else did I expect for the very reasonable price?) getting all the round pegs through the squarish holes took some doing. I am NOT a moron, but it took me fully 2 1/2 hours to get this product assembled -- if you try it yourself, you will see that it is the last step that gets you. I gave it three stars, however, because once it was put together, it appears sturdy and quite capable of doing what it is designed to do: i.e. hold 80 CDs...

This company doesn't make anything. They simply resell at high markups other companies products. The customer service is poor and they charge exhorbitant amounts to return items. The furniture itself is cheap particle board with covered in plastic.

Although this is a cheepie, this little recorder went an astonishingly long way with me. Too bad it is discontinued. I recommend this recorder if it ever comes on the market again. I have gone through many recorders, and most only last a few weeks. This one made it two years of near daily use, lots of banging around, and the general chaos of academic life. Panasonic needs to reintroduce this lil one, since mine FINALLY went kaplooey and I need a new'n bad.

Outstanding Cassette Recorder.......2002-05-06

Just like with most of Panasonic products, the RQL-50 mini cassette recorder is outstanding. Great sound quality, attractive design and simple use are worth the price I paid through Amazon.com. It comes equiped with two DC2.4V NiCad rechargeable batteries and an AC adaptor/charger. I have been using it for about four months for recording interviews with no problems. This is the second RQL-50 that I have owned. It is compact and light weight and highly recommend it. The Amazon.com price is hard to beat.

Best for your money........2002-04-06

I just bought this today and used it to record my own music. The sound is impressive, and before today I'd been using some Sony model my mom paid 40 bucks for, and it wasn't that good. Features a counter, voice activation option (and within this option there are 2 sound choices!), earphone jack, mic jack (the mic jack is IMPORTANT. although the sound on this recorder is better than most, you'll want a microphone. I HIGHLY recommend a Jensen Clip-on mic. They run from 8 to 12 bucks. They are small but they sound incredible.) This seems pretty sturdy, and so far it hasn't broken.

I've been using a micro cassette recorder for years, and after trying three different brands, I finally grew tired of the poor sound quality. Moving to a regular cassette size has really made all the difference in that department.

This unit is easy to use, and is a very basic model. No big bells and whistles here....but it definitely gets the job done. So much so....that i'm baaaaack....purchasing another one for my sister! I like this recorder MUCHO!!!!
