Customer Reviews:
Great, versatile little camera!.......2007-03-30
Although not quite an amateur photographer, I have always loved taking pictures. As digital technology became more popular, I clung to my film camera, a Kodak APS that I loved. I received a cheap, no-name digital camera as a gift, and I thought that would be sufficient to handle any digital needs I might have. Boy, was I wrong!
Things changed for me when my husband bought me the Kodak EasyShare C360 and Printer Dock last Christmas. Although I still feel a bit guilty to admit this, I love my EasyShare digital camera more than any film camera I've ever owned! It is extremely easy to use and yet has a great variety of options. For basic picture-taking, there is an auto feature; simply turn the dial to it and go. However, you can also chose from several other alternatives, including action, close-up, portrait, and landscape. In addition, the camera has a separate series of "scene" settings which allow you to customize your picture-taking even further--these scenes include children, beach, snow, even fireworks! I especially like using the indoor party setting, which eliminates the poorly lit, poorly exposed indoor shots that you get with other cameras, and the self-portrait, which makes for some fun shots. Oh, did I mention that this camera makes movies, too? The video and sound quality is excellent.
Now on to the printer dock. The best thing about this feature is that when you are not using the camera, you simply set it back down on the printer dock to recharge. This works perfectly for recharging the camera after relatively short (e.g., a day or two) usage periods, but for longer trips, I purchased an inexpensive battery recharger. So far, the only time I had to swap out the batteries was when I was away for a long weekend and took several hundred pictures at my sister's wedding (and even then, the camera didn't start to lose its charge until the very end of the weekend). The printer dock also provides an easy way to transfer the pictures from the camera to your computer, although you can print pictures directly from the camera. I haven't used the actual print features of the printer dock very often, but when I have, I've been impressed with the high quality photos produced.
The camera itself provides wonderfully clear, sharp images, whether you are just viewing them on your computer, printing from the printer dock, or printing elsewhere (e.g., the Kodak Gallery online, which is what I usually do). The camera also offers many additional features that I don't use, such as being able to tag pictures to share. I do use the excellent zoom, the timer function, and the burst photo option (lets you take a rapid series of pictures). The 32 MB of memory is sufficient for casual use, but since memory cards are readily available and relatively inexpensive, I upgraded to a 1 GB memory card, which allows me almost 800 photos. The one minor complaint I have about this camera is the accompanying EasyShare software. Although it is convenient--especially with the ease of uploading your pictures to the online Kodak Gallery--I think it could have been much more user-friendly.
Overall, however, I am thrilled with this camera and printer dock combination, and I would highly recommend it to other casual photo enthusiasts like myself!
Exposure problems.......2007-01-15
I got caught up in the frenzy of black Friday 1 1/2 years ago and bought this camera for $150. What a mistake. It's a fine camera except for the exposure problems that ruin at least 75% of the pictures I have taken. In a regular indoor setting (unless there is lots of sunlight), the background is almost always black or has a yellowish-orange tint. At other times (for unknown reasons), faces are completely washed out. I have finally decided to buy something else; I'm tired of not having any decent photos of my kids.
Nice Attempt, Poor Execution .......2006-12-18
When I first purchased this digital camera I thought it was a sexy and chic photo taking machine. It was absolutely not. The design is actually rather bulky and obtrusive compared to the other cameras on the market today. There are many exposure problems, especially indoors. It seems as though you either have a whited out face with no detail or you cant even see the face because it is not lit enough. Outdoor pictures are at best decent, which is subpar considering this is a five megapixel camera. The only plus, in my opinion, is the durability of the camera. The day I bought it I dropped it out of my car and it hit hard asphalt and there was nothing but a minor scratch on the front. This is not my first Kodak camera, but it sure is my last. I would reccomend the Canon Powershot SD630 or the Sony Cybershot DSC T10 over this camera. Although slightly more expenisve they give you much better exposure and resolution and their controls are much more simple and easy to use than this Kodak.
Great Camera for its price.......2006-12-13
I bought this camera and I think is the best camera purchase that I've made. The low price vs its great performance. It takes high quality pictures even in dim light conditions. Also it have a lot of predifined scenes to used in different situations.
The only cons that I gave to this camera is that it doesn't have a battery charge indicator, only it shows this indicator when the battery is going to die. It will be an improvement if it has the indicator all the time on.
Terrible Quality, Terrible Company .......2006-09-08
I had this camera for less than 3 months when it would not turn on any more. I contacted Kodak and sent it in for repair under warrantee. After several weeks, Kodak contacted me a stated that the camera was not repairable and that the damage was not covered under warrantee. The stated that the problem was due to liquid damage and that if I wanted the damaged camera back I was going to have to pay them to return it.
This camera was never exposed to any liquid (at least not after I purchased it). I can't believe a company like Kodak would operate like this. I did a little research and found out that this power problem is common with this camera and yet they are trying to tell me that I am responsible, not their poor quality. They did state that they would be willing to give me a little discount on a new Kodak camera. WHAT A SCAM! I will never buy another product from this company. Stay away from this camera!

Excellent sound quality - very sturdy speakers.......2007-09-25
I bought these from Fry's Electronics for $199. Awesome deal! (I think Polk may have a deal going on with Fry's because the guy from the first review on here got his for the same amount.) I compared these speakers(PA RM6750's) side by side with the $500 Harmon/Kardon's. These had a much richer sound and much better price. The guy in the Fry's audio department said that he used Polk in all of the car stereo's he installs. You can't go wrong with Polk.
good sound great price.......2007-09-08
After hooking up the speakers, make sure you place them at the right height and center from where you will be sitting to get the most sound out them. All in all,i give them from a scale 1 to 10 an 8,but for the price you can't beat them!
Great Product.......2007-08-26
I was looking for a Home Theater Speaker System.I had decided to go with a separate receiver, so just needed to get some speakers. My room set up is not the best for surround sound, but I wanted the flexibility to have it in the future. I also needed to keep my costs down. I am not an audiophile by any means, but do appreciate good sound in music and movies. The Polk system turned out to be as great as the previous reviews indicated. They aren't top of the line, but for their price, they do a fantastic job. The subwoofer provides deep bass, more than what I would ever need. I was also very impressed with the satellite and center channel speakers. Pick one up and you will notice they are pretty heavy. Compared to the systems in Best Buy and Circuit City for more price, you can just tell these are made better. They sound great....you won't be disappointed.
Good sound but fragile.......2007-08-15
These speakers sound very good but be sure to attach the rubber feet. I had a speaker temporarily located on top of the 50 watt woofer which fell off on my wood floor and the speaker completely separated from the external plastic case resulting in much rattling when this speaker is used. The plastic is as hard as glass but also fractures like glass.
Great Sound, Cheap Price.......2007-08-08
I got these for my son who's gone off to college and is sharing an apartment. I helped set them up and was very impressed with the sound quality and the fullness of the sound. They were matched up with a yamaha avr receiver(100w per channel). The speakers were delivered quickly as well. Great experience.....:-)
