Customer Reviews:
Excellent sound quality!.......2003-03-05
I'm not an audiophile, but this pair of headphones deliver clear, crisp trebles and mids and strong, well-defined bass. The volume control is very convenient, especially when I do not have convenient access to the volume control say in the school computer labs. The head band is a tad too tight though (though it grips nicely), and after one year of use, the plastic around the band broke. Nevertheless I will still buy another from Koss again. They make great sound!
The best of their class, by far........2003-01-12
The Koss KTX-Pro, which is the same exact pair of headphones which goes under the name Pro-35 at RadioShack, are better than anything else on the market in their price range, in terms of sound quality. The only thing I've ever griped about, was that after extended use at high volume levels, my ears DID start to hurt just a little, and required a break. I think it somehow had to do with the shape and density of the metal adjustable outer band. Perhaps it was just a bit gripping, but still worth enduring, none the less. But that problem has now been solved. I simply bended them into shape, until they started to fit more comfortably. It's kind of like a new deck of playing cards - at first, they're a little TOO crisp and new, until after you've spent enough time "breaking them in," so they'll feel smoother when you shuffle. Or, if you know anything about string instruments, such as the guitar or violin, then you know the same thing also applies to every fresh new pair of strings.
And with the warranty I purchased with these headphones, I can break them and go right down the street to RadioShack, and replace them with a fresh new pair, as often as I want for free, until nearly 2006! And I love the fact that while my portable MD is snuggly in my inside coat pocket, with my coat zipped up, I can still run the cord down the front outside of the coat, then up into my pocket (thanks to the cord being long enough for this procedure), thus giving me easy access to the in-line volume slider. Even the volume slider itself is noteworthy, in the way the max volume level is at the bottom, while volume-down is at the top position of the slider. At first, one might think this is upside-down, but somehow it just feels convenient and natural after a while.
WOW!!.......2002-12-09
The title of this review says it all. I still can't believe the massively great sound that this little baby puts out. I was originally looking for a nice set of headphones for my MP3 player, but now, they've become my standard set for my home theatre. My friend had recommended these to me about a week before I bought them, and man was he right about one thing; GREAT BASS! These phones really show me how far technology has come these days. It really DOES sound like 2 little 1" subs next to your ears. Not only is the bass amazing, but every little treb and mid is easily recognizable with amazing clarity. I plan to use these as long they'll still function, and then I'll just buy another pair. Great job Koss!
Amazing bass and quality for the price.......2002-11-17
I already had 4 pairs of these...
this headphone is the cheapest of PortaPro family, and the sound is excellent, clean, deep bass; high sensitivity, even I can get satisfactory sound level from single-battery walkman
the reason why I give 4 stars is, the cable is easily broken, and the length is 1.5m, sometimes the cable tangle my feet when I am down on knee, and when I stand up when I don't undo the cable, the cable breaks, and I have repair myself, after that, I lost volume control and the length is reduced to 1m
there's new version comes out, which is KTX-PRO1, which uses plastic headband instead
if you prefer a standard headphone for about 20 bucks, this one is a must buy, you shall not regret for the sound
I didn't know what music was..........2002-09-25
...until I discovered these babies. One day I was in town listening to my old but great Sony radio and the pair of cans that came with it just went out. Man, I thought. I didn't even get to hear the end of "Sir Mix A Lot - Baby Got Back." Well, after I recovered from that humongous shock, I noticed that I was beside a Radio Shack - the coolest place in the whole entire world. After telling 3 workers that I was just looking and didn't need help, I found these headphones. They were up on the front counter with a little tag that said they were half price. Well, that was just super-dee-duper, and I went ahead and bought them. Now, I was hoping that these would be pretty good since they had "Titanium" written on the side, and anything that has a big word on the side has to be good, right? Well, I was right.
I had been used to listening to music with the supplied headphones of the player that I bought. I never imagined that it could sound as good as this. I didn't want to say it because you all might not take me very seriously, but, who cares - ... I had never actually bought a good pair of headphones. Even if there are better headphones out there, my friend from school who bought a pair of fifty dollar headphones for his computer said these are better. After listening to his pair, I had to agree.
I have only had a couple of bad experiences with these. They broke after a week or two of use. Now don't go and start looking for a different pair thinking that these are flimsy, because I went right back to radio Shack and got a new pair. I have had this new pair for way over 2 years, and they are still going strong. I suppose that pair was just a bad apple or something. It's not that I couldn't afford to buy a new pair for 2 years - it's that I didn't need to. That is how good these are. The second problem is that they kinda hurt if I wore them for a while. I have glasses, so maybe that was the problem, but after a while, I could wear them without even noticing them. And the final problem is with the volume control. After a while of use, it can start kind of messing with the balance, ie. fading from one ear to the other. This has happened from ever pair of cans I've ever used with a volume control, so it was no biggie. If you leave it on the Max volume, it probably won't mess up. Keep in mind, this fading only happens when you are moving the control, not when it is stationary.
Aside from these very minor gripes, this is the best pair of headphones I have ever used. And I will keep on using them, just not as frequently, because I'm investing a large sum of money on the Sony MDR-EX70LP earbuds. I have gotten to like the convenience of having a pair of headphones in my pocket at school, and being able to unwind them and listen to them whenever. Please, consider these, because I assure you that they will provide you with probably 2 years or more of listening joy. ...

Customer Reviews:
JUNK.......2007-01-09
this i got for my grandson birthday and it is nothing but a piece of junk. i had to race to the store and get him one that worked. a totally waste of money.
Good Stocking Stuffer.......2006-08-17
I got this for my 8 year old's birthday. He loves it. The controls are not too hard for him to operate, and it holds just enough songs to keep him happy (we add and remove songs frequently).
Good MP3 player for the price.
Decent Entry Level MP3 Player.......2006-04-22
I entered the world of MP3 players relatively late. I had been among the first to buy a CD player back in the 1980's, but this Mac Vision is my first MP3 player. The short way to review it is to say you get what you pay for.......a decent entry level player that is not as versatile or user-friendly as an I-Pod or other more expensive player.
It holds about the equivalent of 4 CD's. People will have to decide if this is enough for their needs. As for sound quality, most MP3 players don't vary that much. For those not familiar with this sound you should know that it is not quiet up to par with most portable CD players. Like most (even more expensive players) the headphones are very cheap. I think most people will want an upgrade. I use the Grado SR-80 with mine a lot. They cost $95, but I bought them to use at home too.
MP3 Player Review.......2006-04-13
This MP3 player is a very useful and very easy to use, although other reviews say otherwise. You see, it has three buttons. One is the volume control. That is self explanatory. The second is the play button, which also operates power as well as starting and stopping music. The third is the slider button that selects thru menus. Not that hard to figure out, really. The down side is that I cannot run with it until I devise some sort of armband for it.
It holds about 65 mp3 files, and more wma. I especially like the flash drive capability of it as well, and it can go places a lot easier than my other mp3 player that is built as a hard drive instead of a flash drive.
Not as good as it could be........2006-03-26
This MP3 player is a low cost alternative to better known brands. I purchased two for my sons as their first MP3 player. It took awhile to figure out how to get it working but I expected that based on personal experiences of friends. I consider myself technically capable and was able to figure out how to get songs from RealPlayer to load into the MP3. However, the construction of the player that holds the battery is not built to last. Even so it should last until my kids are older and these players can still be used as jump drives.

ISO 400 Color Print Film with 25 exposures for APS cameras (Package of 3) There are 25 exposures in this cartridge Requires processing by a professional lab, according to APS standards
Customer Reviews:
Faster is *not* necessarily better........2002-08-05
The film is fine. Its ASA of 400 is a good speed for outdoor pics with little motion. An ASA of 200 is however preferable for those whose pictures will be taken mostly indoors. Those who want to freeze motion (eg. sports) will benefit from an ASA of 1000. Portraiture should be done on slow, ASA 100 or lower (if available) film. Value within each speed should be calculated by exposures divided by roll price; in general, the 40 exposure size is a better bargain than these 25s.
As with cars, so with film: the faster the better.......2002-01-03
Kodak makes the industy's best film. Period. Like the title says, the faster the film, the better the results (for amatures anyway). 400 is the minimum that any amatuer should buy, and generally the results are pretty good. 800 speed is even better, but be prepared to pay more for it. 800 is good for low light and high-speed subjects. However, for most situations, 400 should be fine.
Kodak 400 speed is far superior to the 200 speed.......2001-12-15
I recently came back from a trip to Europe and developed my 200 speed and 400 speed film at the same time. The pictures from the 400 speed film were far superior to the 200 speed film - even though the pictures were taken under the same conditions. The pictures from the 200 speed were grainy and lacked the color quality. It is worth spending more money for the 400 - regardless of the what the conditions will be when you expect to take your pictures.
Great color and a very sharp for this speed........2001-01-31
.
Go the the PALM restaurant (in Manhattan or eslewhere), order an 8 lb lobster and bring a panoramic camera with this film. You'll be able to fit the whole lobster in the picture and the color will make your friends green with envy.
The film makes people look very natural and flattering. I liked the color on all the photos I've seen taken with this film--especially the people pictures where other films have let me down with crappy contrast or dead colors.
Nice film format. Kodak has always been the best film. Here is modern proof the haven't been sitting on their butts.

Great color.......2000-12-21
I love the color of the pictures from the advantix cameras. For people like me who just want nice snapshots of things that are going on in there lives, I feel that Kodak offers the best quality.

Product Description
Kodak, 25 Exposure, APS 400 Speed Print Film, For Advantix System Cameras.
Amazon.com Product Description
Developed for zoom cameras and for freezing action shots, Kodak's Advantix 400 film features T-Grain Emulsion technology that produces finely grained color images in low-light situations or where extended flash range is necessary. Kodak Advantix 400 is scratch resistant and features drop-in loading and an automatic reject device that prevents inserting exposed or processed film, reducing the risk of double exposures.
Negatives are returned inside the film cassette for easy storage, and index prints make it easier to reorder. An electronic charge stabilization agent provides better raw stock keeping, reducing the risk of color shifts as the unexposed film ages and minimizing the effects of high temperature and humidity on the performance of the films. A roll provides 25 exposures.
Customer Reviews:
Misleading advertising.......2007-03-24
This film was advertised with black & white cartridges, so I believed it to be B&W. Wrong! The cartridges were color, not B&W. The picture of the cartridge canister was conveniently small enough to escape detection. I only purchased this online because Advantix is no longer making B&W cartridges, so I cannot buy them at my local drugstore or camera store. Why would I spend more on postage than the price of the film if I could get color cartridges at my local CVS? I have learned my lesson. Caveat Emptor!
Comparison between Fuji & Kodak APS films.......2002-12-08
I performed extensive tests (about 2 rolls each) of Fuji and Kodak APS films at 100, 200, and 400 ASA, using a Canon ELPH camera (the original aspherical zoom lens model). I shot a variety of outdoor scenes in a variety of lighting conditions (e.g. downtown skyscraper architectural with bright clear blue sunny skies, flowers and trees with both bright sun and shade, rock close-ups in overcast). I shot a few indoor locations, without a flash at ASA 400, with flash for the others. I examined the results for color, range, clarity and grain. Here's what I saw:
For ASA 100, Kodak kicked ... . Clearly better color rendition, and much, much tighter grain and better detail in all the bright lighting situations, especially with panorama print.
For ASA 400, I was pleasantly surprised that Fuji really outperformed the Kodak film. Fuji had vibrant blues and was good all across to the reds. Kodak felt washed out on the blue side, weirdly. Also surprising was that Fuji had tighter grain in bright conditions; they both looked grainy of course in lower light, but the Fuji somehow felt smoother or less chunky in the blown-up panorama prints. It also seemed to have better tonal range in both light and dark settings.
Frankly, neither of the ASA 200 films seemed acceptable to me for outdoor shots; indoors with flash, both were OK and Kodak was maybe better color. Outside, they both felt lower contrast/saturation, subsequently cramped color, didn't have the tight grain of the 100, and didn't work as well in low light and indoors (without flash) as the 400. Just seemed not worth it compared to the two options.
Advandtix Film is great!.......2000-06-15
I especially love the index print that you get with each roll. That along with the size options and superb clarity make it a huge amount better than regular 35mm film.

Gold standard of film in my book, Love my advantix camera.......2007-02-09
Although I now have a digital camera, I still use my Advantix camera periodically. It always takes good pictures and the panoramics are neat. I almost always buy Kodak film, although the fuji is comparable. the 400 speed is an average users film for night or day. I prefer the Kodak just for the fact my camera is a Kodak as well. If anything happens with the film, I can't blame compatability, but nothing has ever happened. Harder to find now, but available here on Amazon for a decent price. Check it out.

Customer Reviews:
Good TV, lousy Customer Support.......2007-01-20
Good LCD TV, unless it breaks...there is NO customer support! I've had this LCD TV for about 8 months, and it performs well, especially when using the built-in HD-DVD. The remote control volume function went out, and I contacted Customer support...5 times!! (they are always unavailable, and you get to leave a message that will never be returned.) I even e-mailed them, and I still get no response.
DEFECTIVE DVD-PLAYER - twice.......2007-01-03
I am now waiting to hear from Mintek tech/support or customer service to repair or replace my SECOND DTV-263 within a year. After paying shipping costs plus a six-week wait for the last replacement, I would NEVER order this or any Mintek product again.
Good bedroom TV.......2006-11-11
The Mintek 26" combo dvd/tv is a very good tv for the bedroom. I have the TV hooked up via HDMI Cable to a tv/dvr box, and the picture result is very good quality specially on HDTV channel and even on nonHDTV channels. The sound is nothing to scream about but for the tv being in the bedroom, I have no issues. If it was in my living room where my 42" plasma is situated now, then I would scream my issue with the sound, but it's not. The dvd player is a little bit noisy when you first turn on the tv and when you insert a dvd into the slot, but it's quite when the actually movie is playing. I've had this tv for 6 months now, and I have no complains with the TV or the DVD component.
Horrible Experience.......2006-07-22
I purchased the DTV-323. Within one day the remote no longer worked. Working with customer service was a nightmare of unreturned phone calls and perpetual hold. The mfr. admitted there were problems with the remotes but were still obstinate about sending out a replacement without receiving the defective model. I finally gave up and just bought new ones. Be careful because there are no universal remote alternatives.
The picture quality for regular tv is so-so as well.
Nice TV/DVD for viewing.......2006-06-25
We bought this Mintek unit about a year ago, and while there was some initial quality control concerns - the first unit shipped without a remote or power cable, the company (eventually) rectified it.
However the unit itself is very competent. The picture is good, and who cares about the speed of changing channels (reported as a shortcoming by other reviews)? You will undoubtadly use a cable box as input, which will be the bottleneck for channel chaning speed.
I like the VGA and DVI cable inputs, both of which I have used with my laptop sucessfully. Makes a great "slideshow" panel for your digital photos. The sounds is not great, but again, we use it as a viewing device, and route the sound through a real amplifier/speaker system.
The DVD picture is great (no analog/digital translation) and its one less component to worry about and wire. The buttons and general interface make sense, which is a compliment in this world of incomprehensible UI decisions. The USB interface is too slow to be truly convenient, but again we use the laptop to show photos. Overall quite happy with this Mintek.
