I got these binoculars and the image was clear and crisp. I was very impressed with the zoom distance, and still being so clear. This is a top of the line binocular and very worth the price.
The binoculars come with a carrying case, protective lens covers, and a strap. These are easy to use, but a tripod is recommended.

I bought these binoculars about a month ago because I wanted something really powerful/top of the line that could be used with basically doing anything. These things are SO powerful that it's scary. We went to a concert last week and were wayyyy far away from the stage. We used the zoom on these to the 22 mark and it was TOO close!
These are very high quality binoculars and are a pretty good weight. They come with a soft case and covers for the lenses and eyepiece, and a tripod mount. There is a small lever on the right eye piece that you can ease left to right in order to take advantage of the 10-22 zoom. Because the diameter of the lenses is 50, these binoculars allow a good deal of light to come in so that you will see a bright, crisp image.
If you are into star-gazing then you are going to need a tripod. Nothing expensive, just something to steady the binoculars so that you won't be struggling to hold them completely still in your hands. When you're that close with the zoom you're going to need it.

The Nikon Action was my first pair of binocular's. After researching for hours I purchase these and they worked great. You can use the 10X zoom to look for objects like bear, dear, birds, etc. and then zoom in with 22X zoom. The lens are pretty clear. Very satisfied.

These are no ordinary binoculars. They are a miracle. They exceeded my expectations and I am proud to own them now.
Its usable right out of the box. The controls are very easy to use, even my 4 year old son knows how to focus the binoculars. You can keep the zoom level at 10X for most viewing. When you really want to zoom in, the binoculars provide upto 22X zoom by just sliding a lever. At 22X zoom, you need steady hands or a tripod to view appropriately. The 10X zoom is more than sufficient for exploring the distant objects around you.
For starters, when you buy a binocular, you need to consider two aspects. The binoculars are usually represented in the format A X B where A is the magnification and B is the diameter of the front lens in millimeters. The more the better for both A and B.
This Nikon binocular is capable of magnifications ranging from 10 to 22. The front lens is 50 mm which is more than sufficient for everyday daylight and night viewing.
The Nikon lens are world-class providing crystal clear view. At night I focussed on the moon and could see the mountains on the moon very clearly.
Overall I would definitely recommend this product for everyone. Even adults who think that binoculars are for children must try this product as it will amaze them. Not to speak of teens who will marvel their "birds" in close-up!!!

The Action series by Nikon feature knobby rubber armored housings for comfort and offer wider fields of view than comparably classed binoculars. It also has a tripod screw for serious outdoor observations. The 10-22x50 zoom model is intended for both lowlight viewing at the shorter end of the zoom as well as distant observations in better conditions. Though it may be seem large to take to the opera or theater, it offers an excellent field of view when used at stadiums for sports events. Amazing... for Zooms.......2007-02-26
As a backyard astronomer and novice outdoorsman, I know that serious users of binoculars will tell you that zoom binocs are almost never recommended. Zoom binocs tend to have a lot of problems with being usable at higher magnification. Even with another $80 pair of zooms, I end up seeing a crossing of views (or blackout) through the left and right eyepieces with even moderate increase in magnification. That being said, this pair of Nikon Action zoom binocs is probably the best pair of zooms you can get. I find them to actually be usable throughout most of range, though stability (shaky hands) are an issue once you reach high magnification (unless you are using a tripod). The fact that they work this well, though, is pretty much a miracle. Nikon quality really proves itself here. If you are dead set on one pair of binocs, and those being zooms, then I recommend these as your only real choice.
LOW End of Nikon standards.......2006-08-02
I have returned this set for two reasons: the diopter adjustment on the left eye(because the zoom in on the right) is not of sufficient range to accomodate my vision. 2) The zoom lever is rather light and not very smooth in operation.
At the lowest 10 power, the binoculars are OK, but as you go up the magnification, the shake becomes too much for real useful viewing. I tried them out on a bald eagle on a tree across an Alaskan lake. The comparison with the regular 8 X 40 Nikon Action binoculars was disappointing.

I use this for my old Toshiba laptop. This product was easy to set up using Ubuntu. It didn't work right out of the box, but was able to get working with a simple tweak to the settings on the laptop.
I have been using this product with no problems what so ever.

This is the second one, the first one I got really didn't work. There is not a lot to choose from out there so this is as good as I could find. Does not work as well with the matching modem as i would have thought. The booster is just a gimmick, it didn't really boost anything.

I don't know why there are so many bad reviews for this phone. I bought the display model at a local department store for next to nothing. I was a replacing a 900 megahertz phone. This phone is much better than the phone I replaced. The 900 megahertz was prone to static. The sound I get from this phone is crisp and clear. The person that said the batter cover wouldn't stay on...I disagree. The battery cover attaches quite well to my phone..AND IT WAS A DISPLAY MODEL...which probably suffered abuse from people checking it out. If you just want a good phone, with crisp reception, I think this phone is hard to beat. I would have liked to have seen a caller ID on it, but for what I paid for it, I am not complaining.

Speaking as one who has owned this phone for over a year, I can't believe the high score it has here. OK, the styling is slick, and sad to say that was the main reason I was suckered into buying it - the person who designed the case should get an art award or something.
And it has all the right features a simple wireless phone should have: long talk and standby times, good range, plastic rather than rubber keys, volume buttons on the side, ringer off switch, mute, redial, etc. - IOW, it was designed by committee.
But where it falls down is in the all-too-important ergonomic and voice quality departments. Ergonomically, it's almost impossible to hold the phone between your cheek and shoulder without it slipping out. And the earpiece is at an oblique angle, which makes it hard to place against your ear correctly no matter how you hold it. But what killed this phone for me is this: if you turn the listening volume up to a comfortable level, when you talk you hear a distorted version of your own voice, which is highly distracting. Every time my wife has to answer a call on this phone, she uses the first minute of the call to hunt down our Lucent 9400 and switches over to it. (That is the best damn wireless I've ever used, 900MHz, DSS, large earpiece - why can't they make a decent phone any more? God, I sound like the cranky old man I'm quickly becoming.) I've been sorry for succumbing to style over substance almost the first day I brought the Motorola phone home.
The newer Motorola MA550 has recently caught my eye (style again) but I've learned my lesson: no more Motorola for me. I close my eyes and hold my ears when passing the phone department so that the MA550 siren song doesn't pull me back onto those rocks.
After reading web reviews for more than a day (!) today I went out and got a Uniden EXP 971 for almost nothing at a local big box store (and you wouldn't know they stocked it by their web page). I'm here to tell you the Uniden runs circles around the Motorola in terms of ergonomics and voice quality. And it has plastic buttons, and a shape that you can shoulder comfortably. Range is a bit shorter, but fine for my medium-sized home (slight occasional flutter in the farthest corner of the house from the base unit, which is also on a different floor). No mute or ringer off controls, but you can't have everything; at least not anymore.
Another reviewer noted that finding a transmitting phone you don't hate is like winning the lottery - no truer words have been spoken. The day of the simple, well-designed and built transmitting phone that isn't the size of a grain of wheat is over my friends.

People I talk to say the sound is horrible. Sounds like I'm in a tin can. I hear my voice as an annoying echo when I talk. The battery cover keeps falling off. It's going to the garage where I hope to run over it.

I have owned this phone for awhile. The range is worse than my 900 MHz phone and the battery cover keeps slipping off. Good look and feel to it but that's it.

I had a Panasonic cordless phone. It lasted me a while, but the battery now needs replacement, since it can barely hold a charge. I could buy another battery for about $17, but why not spend a few more dollars and buy a whole new phone. I bought this phone. Just my luck, the phone uses the same battery as my old Panasonic (which means, expensive battery replacement). The battery type is 3.6V 600 mAh.
Somebody mentioned that when dialing, it makes no noise so you know it has been dialed. Actually, it does make noise through the receiver. However, if you dial at arm's length, you won't hear it.
One thing I did not like was the low ring tone. However, after opening and reading the manual, I found out that there were 2 different ring tones. Although they almost sound alike, one is louder than the other. Therefore that problem was quickly solved.
The volume has an up and down switch. When you reach maximum or minimum, a noticeable sound will tell you. I only mention this because my older Panasonic had one button to adjust volume. This was annoying because I forget how many volume adjustments there are and would go from loudest to softest if I miscount.
Since the phone operates at 2.4Ghz, it is known to interfere with wireless networks and a microwave. While I do not have a wireless network, I do have a microwave :). My microwave does not interfere with the phone. The microwave is about 25 ft. from the base (of phone).
Somebody mentioned the mute button. It is hard to press it, but just in case you do, the light on the upper right corner of phone starts flashing, indicating that mute is on.
