These batteries are still holding a charge 1 1/2 year after purchase. They have never died on me and, even still, can go several days between camera use without having to recharge them. I have been very pleased with these batteries.

I bought Nikon NiMH Rechargeable Batteries with the charger [...]. The first and second recharge lasted long time. However, after 3rd recharge, one of the two batteries went dead - unable to recharge any more. Bad quality.

What you need to know about 'Hybrid Technology' Batteries.......2007-09-01

Please note that I have not purchased this item ("NiMH Rechargeable Batteries with New Advanced HYBRID Technology"), so I cannot comment on its quality. However, I like to clarify some confusions about marketing claims here.

1. The claim of "4 times longer lasting" is actually referring to the battery's storage life (when it is NOT being used), and not its operation time or capacity.

2. No matter what brand of digital camera you have, as long as it accepts AA cells, you can use ANY brand of rechargeable NiMH cells in it. However, it is best to choose the latest generation of low self-discharge cells. Here's why:

All rechargeable NiMH batteries suffer from a problem called "self-discharge". This problem is especially bad for AA cells with capacity of 2500mAh or higher. If you charge up a set of those NiMH cells and leave them in your camera, the cells start to lose their charge rapidly even when the camera is off. Then when you want to use the camera a few weeks later, you'll likely be greeted by the "low battery" indicator. Because of this problem, you always have to recharge the cells just before using them.

A new generation of rechargeable NiMH (often called "read-to-use", "Pre-Charged" or "Hybrid") are specially designed to have very low self-discharge rate. They typically claim to retain about 80% of their charges in 6 months (the Sanyo eneloop claims to retain 85% in 12 months, but that was only based on simulation test under room temperature). However, this advantage comes with a trade-off in cappacity. Typical capacity of a LSD (low self-discharge) AA cell is only arround 2000-2100mAh, compared to 2500-2700mAh for the older generation of NiMH cells.

I have personally tested several brands of LSD cells, and I can attest that they do work (almost) as well as advertised. For any of my photo equipment, I'll pick a set of dependable 2000mAh LSD cells over a set of unreliable 2500mAh cells, any time.

they claim these will last 4x as long as regular NiMH...nonsense. these batteries have 2300 mah which is the same as other good NiMH AA cells. If they were to last 4x as long they would have to be the size of D cells. shame on amazon for permitting this kind of snake oil advertising

Won't do that again!!.......2007-09-15

Let's first understand that we're talking about a $14.50 TV. By itself this is not the most complex item in the world nor does it cost that much. The reason I called this review "Won't do that again" is because of the money involved. Follow the bouncing ball -- I bought two little TV's at a cost of [do the math] $29.00. My total bill was $69.00, you see there was a $40.00 add on for shipping and handling. Next time it's off to Circuit City, there the TV's are $20.00 and all you do is walk out the door.

I very cheap TV. After using it in the kitchen for about a week, it has now been taken out of service and has become another storage item. I would not recommend purchasing one.

The product was delivered on time. It's great to watch TV next to my computer. Channel 2 comes in fuzzy but that is alright. It is also good to have around when the power goes out.

I bought this item refurbished for 12 bucks. I hooked it up fo a coby travel-sized dvd player. I bought this for my home gym & I'm happy that it has no issues playing my cds or dvds... however there was a rather large issue recieving on-air television signals. the picture was clearer then I expected but, even at full power, the sound could not be raised beyond a (barely audible) whisper. this set would be worthless had I planned on using it to recieve tv.
I forgot to test the radio.

I'm happy with my purchase, but I would NOT recomend it.

If there were a "0" star rating this product deserves it. Don't buy it. The one I bought couldn't power up usually (with charger - think I was investing another $10 in batteries???). When I finally got a "lit" tv screen, couldn't tune into any channels and I live in clear range of the highest, strongest tv transmission towers in town - unobstructed! The radio never worked. It was just a plain piece of garbage. I paid $19.99 (Now it's on sale for $14.99! Yippee!!) and returned it to Amazon for a prompt refund. Lugging it to the post office and waiting on line there was more fun than spending hours with it trying to get it to work. Beware!
