I've had my Bonzai w/ a 4gb SD card before & it worked great. But before I try an 8gb SDHC card I was hoping somebody would confirm it does in a review.

Hi. I bought the 64k version back in 98 or 99 and it was awesome then. I did have to buy a USB extension cord.
I recently upgraded to the newer version and thankfully I also got a new camera with an SD card so this really comes in handy all over the place.
I highly recomend this if you have any camera or device that uses an SD card.
one trick I used on the previous model was to put a small dab of glue around the edge where the cap conects and let that dry thus making it more snug and secure.

The reader has a spring loaded plastic door that is supposed to hold the chip in contact with the reader contacts... Sometimes it does but most time, one has to leave the door open and push the chip in.... Luckily it loads fast or else you may have to grow an extra arm....

The card reader provides a functional way of integrating your information regardless of the hardware. I can take out the SD card from the Simple Tech BONZAI USB 2.0 CARD READER, and use it on my PDA, save photographs directly from my camera, listen to music or connect and backup any given file, via USB to my computer. It's Quite a useful gizmo.
There are three issues I have to warn the purchaser, though.
First. Quite often the USB port on the computer has no space available for the extra width the card reader requires; without an extension cord the reader may result worthless.
Second. The other issue is the plastic casing. Freshly out of the box it looks like aluminum but this coating can quickly fade exposing a dull plastic underneath. Therefore, I do not to carry it around hanging from my neck. I guess as a key chain accessory, it won't last more than a few days in nice condition.
Third. The USB connector comes with a cap which I have left forgotten or momentarily lost among the paper wok on my desk. The design team could think of an alternative to that glitch.
I gave the article four stars not because of it looks, but by it's versatility. It is the easiest way to integrate your electronic paraphernalia and data.

Fast Flexible router.......2007-09-15
I loved and hated the settings on this router. It is very customizable and is the best and easiest I have used to turn on and off ports to foreward for a game. It swiches quickly and easily and even stores the ports you foreward for certain games on their for you so you can just check or uncheck the enable button to turn on and off that service. The router doesnt even seem to require a reboot after changing the port forewarding settings which is nice. The router reliability was MUCH better then my last one (I was using an fvs114 which required reboots every day)
Downsides are that I get annoying error messages every so often saying something like "error missing a ; in line 107." I just had to keep hitting cancel for it to go away, but when I went to another menu it came up again. Also using safari (i'm on a mac) doesn't work well while trying to configure the router. Some of the buttons just wouldn't work for me so I had to use my pc or use firefox for my mac.
Another annoying thing is that I couldn't get vpn to work with the router for a while. I was able to fix this by unchecking the IPsec option under the router settings because I guess it was conflicting with my vpn client. The number of preferences it has is a negative here because it takes a while to test all the settings and scrounge through the manuals to find the way to fix the issue.
Bad access controls and tech support.......2007-09-09
As a speedy router, the DGL-4100 is okay. However, creating firewall rules to control my kids' access is terrible. One cannot allow certain protocols, like SMTP to let them get email, while denying other types of access. The manual says if you create a schedule for a computer, access will be denied if access is requested outside of the schedule times; not so, I had to set up a blocking schedule. Tech support is offshore from USA, probably India, and the support techs do not know the product, cannot answer questions, have questionable English skills and my calls were dropped twice. I'm returning the router.
Excellent product..........2007-08-31
The device works as expected. When I used to have my Netgear broadband router, downloading file from my PC, my Xbox Live connection would suffer. With the QoS features of the D-Link DGL-4100, I no longer have lag time when my other machines are accessing the net. If you are a novice, this can be a daunting product.
I would recommend this router for anyone that wants the best broadband router for internet gaming. Whether it be console (Xbox 360, PS3, Wii) or PC gaming.

I had this thing up and running in about 10 minutes! I don't currently play any online games such as WoW that require port-forwarding, etc. but the on-screen menu looks like it would be easier to do than my previous Linksys router. This is my first D-Link product and I have to say I'm very impressed!
