A voicemail indicator lets you know when you have received messages.

Twenty different distinctive ring options are provided, while handset and ringer volume controls allow you to easily adjust the phone's settings to your liking. A page button on the base makes finding a lost handset quick and painless, and the menu-driven handset LCD makes operation easy. Three-way conferencing is available between two handsets and an outside call, while the call transfer feature lets you route incoming calls to a different handset. For everyone who has this phone and was having trouble with adding the area code - I found the solution. When your looking at your caller id and it's a long distance number you can hit the # button to add the area code (if it isn't there already) and you can add the "1" before the area code and number by hitting *(tone) *woohoo* no more editing and redoing all the numbers before you add them to caller id!

Very Disapointed!.......2007-03-19

We got this phone a couple of months ago and are still not able to use it at all. Originally, we could not hear anything from this phone at all. Now only faint voice can be heard, but the only end still has no sound at all.

I spend hours reading the manual, but still can not make it work for us. Maybe it is a malfunctioning one. I would definitly NOT buy any Uniden products in the future.

Does not stand the test of time.......2007-03-02

When we first received these phones they were pretty good - the range is short but we could deal with that. After a few weeks the sound quality started to really decline (echos, breaking up, and static.). After 8 months the caller ID does not function on one handset and the sound quality on the other handset is so bad as to make it unusable.
The small size at first was cute but after awhile is very annoying and uncomfortable. I just ordered a panasonic set and can't wait to trash this set. I have been a loyal fan of uniden for many years but this product has shaken my confidence in there recent quality or lack there of.

This is a really good phone! Love the size and the handsfree features on each phone AND the base. Our last phone did not have that feature on the base and if the phone rang and we could not locate the handsets we could not answer the phone. Now we can! The reception is great and the volume features are easy to operate. We also got a killer price and prompt delivery. We are happy customers!

exactly what I was looking for - a replacement for an ancient 900MHz phone that didn't dip too far into my wallet. Seems to be excellent quality - though I wish some of the interesting preset rings were a bit louder. But that's just nitpicking.

The phone was exactly as described. I bought it in order to expand the DCT 646-3 package to its 4 handset maximum.

One criticism about online e-tailers none of them -- that includes YOU Amazon -- did not list an extra handset as an accessory.

This phone can stand by itself or expand an existing phone configuration. If you are expanding, be sure to de-register the base handset and register the handset in the base of the main system. If you don't then you'll have 2 phone configurations that conflict with each other.

We've used our system for about a week. We love it. Reception is great. We enjoy the 100 entry phone book. We like the walkie -talkie feature as well.

I bought this as an office phone. I've got an answering machine and a cell phone, but I needed an additional phone to be by the computer in my upstairs office and I wanted a caller I.D. home phone so I could know who is on the other end because I get 10-20 calls each day plus over 100 emails. I can see who is calling without holding a receiver up to my ear.

I was convinced to buy this phone by the price and features. I like the black color because it doesn't get dirty like the white or light grey phones. You don't see it, but there is always a layer of dust on your keyboard. It transfers easily. I am so busy I don't have time to clean my office very often, and my materials are so sensitive that I do not trust an ordinary cleaning agency to come out.

I've only had this phone for a few days, but I can say that it is attractive and seems to be built well. I called my Mom and she said the sound was crystal clear. My sister said the same thing. I called my exgirlfriend too, and she liked it. I heard them just fine as the speaker is great. I could go on about this phone...it is so cool. For the same price of one meal out on the town you can get this phone.

I was in a rush and needed a corded phone ASAP that was headset compatible. I skimmed thru the info and assumed (stupidly) that since the product was offered at a discount with the panasonic headset, that the phone was headset compatible. Well, it wasn't. Not only that, but the ringer on it is oddly annoying. If you are in need of a cheap phone, this is okay. However, you'd be better off getting something better for only a few dollars more!

As a basic, one-line, corded phone, this is adequate. The sound quality is good, and the instruction booklet is well written. But the keypad has an annoyingly stiff touch, and the caller ID screen is not easy to read in most kinds of light. The instructions say it needs three new alkaline batteries every six months; in my experience, it's every two months.
