I would agree with the other comments that these headphones offer great bass. If you want to get picky, they lack a little bit of clarity on the treble side, but again for the price, I don't think you can beat them. They're also really comfortable on. I wear them plugged into my Ipod or computer at work.

I am a video editor, and have been needing some decent headphones for a long while. These don't cut out all surrounding sound, but they do a pretty darn good job for the price. I have been very pleased so far, and even use them to listen to my music because it sounds so much better through these headphones.

They are comfortable. They are light. They are divine. Best you can get for closed headphones. If you don't mind bothering those around you, I'd recommend the Grado SR60-80...but I need these for quiet places.

I love these headphones, they are my favourite out of all the sennies and sony's I have owned. They chunk out clear, vibrant, brain wobbling bass, and overall offer fantastic frequency response better than many headphones three times the price. I've been thrashing mine for 3 years and they are still good.
Pros - brilliant sound, phat bass, lightweight, can run fine from an ipod or laptop without a separate pre-amp, can wear them for hours, shields out all outside noise including planes, screaming babies and colleagues.
Cons - really long cord is awkward, shields out all outside noise including cars screeching towards you, or other dangers. So I don't ever wear these walking around on the street, only inside.

Having gone through a couple of pairs of headphones, I decided to try these. I use them only to watch DVDs at night while the family is sleeping. I have used them about 5 times and so far so good. The sound is nice. Not too much bass, but enough to add impact when needed. The headphones are comfortable wearing them 2-3 hours (and I have a big head) and my ears do not hurt after wearing them.

I purchased these about 3 weeks ago for travel purposes. I was able to put them through their paces last week on a business trip. they passed with flying colors. I had the unfortunate luck to be in the last row on a flight which had me staring at engines instead of scenery.
Not a problem,I just cranked the volume up a little on my mp3 player and enjoyed myself. These must do great job from a noise cancelling prospective because I had no stare downs from fellow passengers while listening !
These are well constructed headphones that for the price sound great. I did some comparasion shopping and based on the fact that the cheapest Bose model is 3 times more than what I paid, its a no brainer to purchase for travel. They are comfortable for extended wear but you do have to deal with the nerd factor as they are not small in size.

Coming from a brand like Sennheiser, I was expecting quality and performance. I got what I was expecting and a more. The sound quality of these headphones is just amazing, and the stylish design sets them apart from the crowd. Clean crsip trebles and sweet smooth bass. The soft earpads completely cover the ears, practically isolating you from the rest of the world and allowing you to get immersed in your music music. The long and detachable cable is very practical. Finding these headphones paired with a cool Casio watch was a good deal.

i got this cd player to use while walking so i wanted something lightweight that wouldn't skip. it's terrific sound that doesn't skip. the hold-resume-off feature is a little confusing; i need to reread the instructions. the headphones are huge--they won't fit in my carrier, but they're good, and i use them at the health club for the tv sound as well. all in all, i'm very pleased!
Excelent CD Player.......2001-06-02
With the help of Amazon sales rep I purchased this unit as 2 prevoius Casio's would not play CD-R's, or at least only about 50%. This unit is not phased by any CD-R. Has digital sound location and a real nice feel to it. Based on this unit would highly recommend Philip's CD players.
Great Machine (Beep!) For the Price (Beep!).......2001-05-18
I am really enjoying this litte CD player. I'm docking it a star, though because of a few minor things.
First of all, whenever you hit the repeat/shuffle button (called "mode"), there is an audible "beep" in whatever you are listening to and a little interuption a while later. The "beep" also happens if you hit pause, change tracks, or boost the bass. (It beeps to remind you that the machine is on pause, too- which is actually helpful.) Some people might find that mildly annoying. Others won't care.
Second, they've set it up so that when you use the mode option, you must go through the shuffle options before you get to the repeat options. The trouble is that when you engage shuffle, it goes into random search mode for a new tune on the disk interrupting whatever you are listening to. That's a problem if you decide to put the tune you were listening to on repeat because you have to move pretty quickly to the repeat function before being thrown into another selection. (This happens even if you have paused the machine.)
I've read some vague complaints about the ear phones but the phones seem fine to me except for the fact that the second level of bass boost distorts. (I don't notice a big difference when I use other ones, however.) I will say that the phones are relatively large and comfy on the ears. (They don't fold.) I'm also not sure that the jack is really conveniently placed on the unit. (It's right next to the volume control.) The battery compartment is also placed inside the unit so you have to remove the disk to change batteries. (You don't have to stuggle to get the disk on an off the hub, however, which is great.)
Basically, the problems are minor ones which you can live with. It's otherwise a sturdy little unit with great features. It's very programable. And it has shuffle, repeat, repeat all, two levels of base boost etc. It also has a scan feature that plays the first few seconds of everything. (Turn "scan" off by hitting "mode" again. That had me confused for a while!)
Nice for the price with one misfire.......2001-04-12
All in all, I am happy with this purchase. It is nice looking and works well, easy to function. No backlight is no big deal..yet. For the price, there probably isn't much better, and it plays CD-Rs (I can't vouch for CD-RW, I haven't tried). My main hangup is the volume control: it is in a hard to use place, a little difficult to maneuver if you are not holding the player steady with another hand or it is still, thus if its on your desk and you want to reach over and turn the volume up/down, its not as easy as it should be.....
Still, I think its a good product for the price.

This is the greatest CD player I've ever bought. It never skips... I accidentally dropped it from 5 ft. to carpet and nothing happened! Headphones and adapter are a great advantage when they come with the CD player and you don't have to buy seperate. Battery life is outstanding! I love this CD player and would definately recommend it to anyone!!! A+++

Well, even though I heard that Sennheiser is high end and top of the line etc. Here's my feedback:
Nice and warm music but the huge headphones can get HOT and sweaty!! The noise cancelling type is smaller and doesn't get hot.
The other issue is that there are days where the cordless is terrible in picking up the signal for a station!!
So, it is a compromise...you want cordless for the freedom of not having a cord (very restrictive) there is downside.

I liked the reviews for the Sennheiser PXC 300. It performs as discribed. I used it on a long flight of three hours and found some pressure on the ears, but not too uncomfortable. The extra module hanging down or clipped to my shirt did not bother me. The sound is great. There is no volume control with the earphones, so to control the volume one must use the player's volume control. The earphones will work with or without the noise cancelling turned on and the volume increases when the switch is turned on. I could still talk and hear normal talking, but it did cancel the annoying roar. The cord is long enough to use for the device to be off the the side, but an extension is needed to listen to the TV so that others are not disturbed. Overall I am pleased with the purchase.
Smooth sounding and good noise reduction.......2007-08-26
Very effective in reducing background rumble for in-city listening. Better than some other noise-canceling 'phones in that one can still listen to the source material when the NC unit is off or its battery (2x standard AA-cells) is depleted. Also, no proprietary, non-replaceable battery.
Low-frequency rumble of auto road noise is reduced to a slight whispering. Even the brappa-brapp of Harleys is reduced. Wind noise is tolerable up to moderate breezes.
Biggest gripe is the noise-canceling module "line lump", which is rather heavy and has two cables coming out one end. Not convenient for belt-mounting by taller users, too heavy for the breast-pocket of shirts or jackets.

Sennheiser PXC300 Noise Cancelling Headphones.......2007-07-19
Got a great price ($139.99) for these headphones and feel it was well worth the price. The noise cancelling feature works as well as advertised and all musical tones (high & low) are very clear when used with my IPod. The very low hiss associated with active noise canceling features is bearly noticable. The compact design is ideal for airline use and stowing in your computer case. The wire connection to the battery compartment can be a bit annoying, but I still believe this is the best buy for the money.

Our FR114P was damaged by a lightening surge, and Netgear replaced it under warranty. I surge-protected the second one and we have used it for several years. This is a reliable unit and very easy to use. I have recommended it to friends, who were equally pleased. I also bought several for our portable LANs at work, and those have functioned beautifully, too. In summary, this is a great product that I highly recommend to those looking for a foolproof and easy to use cable/DSL router with robust firewall.

My first unit was defective. The second unit works well. This firewall works like a charm & has enough configs to make it a great solution. It turns out to be highly suspect to a little bit of extra electricity. Make sure you have it on a top quality surge protector.
PS: Kudos to Amazon. After getting an RMA for the first unit from Netgear, Amazon actually shipped me a new one before they got the defective unit back. All at no charge to me (no shipping etc...). That's why we love Amazon.

Finally! Something high-tech that basically installs itself. No hassle. No user-hostile experience. Why did I buy this? I had two LinkSys routers at home over three years and finally got fed up! With any network hiccup, I'd have to reboot the LinkSys routers and sometimes re-install the configuration software.
I tried another router with the same user-hostile experience. I bought this product -- the Netgear FR114P -- based on reviews. I wanted "plug-and-play" or as close as I could get. I didn't want the hassle of installing software that ultimately fought with me. Yes, I can read and follow directions. But for Pete's sake, humans played golf on the moon 35 years ago. Why can't they invent a router that just plain works out of the box?
I plugged the router into my network and had all my home PCs online in just a few minutes. It comes with software, but not necessary for basic functions.
For the money, this was bargain for the trouble it saves in installation.
Totally Reliable.......2006-06-01
This router has worked great for the past year. We have 3 Linux computers connected to DSL through it.
One PC is at the far end of the house. We use two Novatech Powerline Ethernet Adapters to connect that PC to the Netgear router through our home powerline wiring. Netgear and Novatech work fine together, with no DSL speed degredation.
The browser interface is easy to use. The firewall features are easy enough for the inexpert user to understand.
The manual is good, but I would prefer to have a hard copy.

Hot Monitor.......2002-01-05
The Brilliance 180P is nice upgrade over standard monitors. I had a 20 inch that took up a ton of desk space plus the thing was heavy and the internal tube was like a room heater. The Philips monitor has a bigger screen, brigther graphic display, and it's easier on the eyes. The drawback is the optional of USB hub not being inclued, but the price is good LCD monitor.
Wide Viewing Angle.......2001-06-12
This is the best 18" LCD I have found for viewing angle. We mounted this on a wall in a small conference room off my office. I needed a very wide viewing angle with a great picture so prospective customers could view my products. This one really is terrific. It was very easy to install and set up wit my computer system too.
