Amazon.com Product Description
Sony's MDRV700DJ series DJ headphones feature convenient, reversible swivel earcups for DJ and remix applications (great for single-sided monitoring) and an auto-return swivel mechanism that snaps the earcups back to standard listening positions. Silver finished for a sleek, professional look, the set's folding design allows for easy storage and portability.
These headphones use high-end materials and advanced engineering for critically clean, exceptionally clear sound aimed at professional and high-fidelity applications. The MDRV700DJ offers 3,000 mW power handling for the most stringent professional applications and daily use at very high output levels. Their Neodymium magnets pack more magnetic energy per ounce than conventional Ferrite, Samarium Cobalt, or Aluminum magnets for high sensitivity and output (107 dB/mW).
The headphones supra-aural design ensures excellent listening comfort, resting lightly on the ears, and creates a controlled environment for better sound. A wide, molded headband distributes the headphone's weight over your whole head; reduced pressure means comfortable listening for hours on end. The MDRV700DJ even has a serrated area on the plug that acts as a "hanger"--plugged into a rack of equipment, the headphones can hang on the plug when not in use.
Large, 50 mm drivers deliver deep bass down to an impressive subsonic 5 Hz and provide outstanding dynamic range, bolstered by Sony's use of a neodymium magnet for maximal energy from minimal size. A detachable, single-sided cord lets you listen at a distance of 10 feet from your source, while its oxygen-free-copper design delivers maximal conductivity with minimal noise.
Customer Reviews:
These things are LOUD, perfect for DJs (3 1/2 stars).......2007-09-18
After shopping around for DJ headphones for quite a long time, I decided to go with the best-looking and cheapest ones which were these Sonys. I was also considering Denon, Technics, Pioneer and Stanton's DJ headphones. Instead of writing out a long review here, I'm just going to list some of the things I like and don't like about them.
Pros:
- They look beautiful on your head (exactly what you want if you're a DJ, because your headphones are the only equipment the crowd can see).
- They're VERY loud compared to other headphones, even with an input of the same volume.
- The swivel/folding feature is great for storage.
Cons:
- Sound quality is not so great. My Sennheiser HD497's cost less than half the price and sound much more crisp and clean.
- The joints feel weak and fragile; I'm going to have be very careful not to break them.
- The plastic construction is more cheap-looking in person than online.
Overall, I think the good outweighs the bad here if you're a DJ (or just want really sexy headphones), but not if you're an audiophile.
Sony Headphones.......2007-09-11
I love these headphones, there so comfortable and the sound quality great. its worth the money if your looking for great professional quality and not some low end stuff
Best for what it meant for!.......2007-08-26
I don't know why people are sometimes complaining about the quality it outputs and I figure they are too lazy to read the BIG BOLD LETTERS. This headphones are for DJ REMIX USE. While they aren't bad at listening to music this are meant for DJ use. This have round earcups because DJ's don't use this as full headphones, they usually listen to it one sided on their shoulders. So if you are complaining its heavy and uncomfortable, you are not using it right. Anyways this produce the same sound as MDR-V6/7506 with boosted bass and treble (low and high frequencies). While I do not strongly recommend this for "accurate" monitoring, I DO strongly recommend this if you are mixing and has enough power (3,000mw/3W) source. This is good when listening to music but don't complaing it's heavy and uncomfortable because it's not made for it. I recommend MDR-V6/7506 (they are the same one, different name) for basic listening because they are use 95% at mixing studios worldwide. So you hear what the mixer is intended to mix.
Sounds Good!.......2007-08-12
I use these headphones for CDs that utilize binaural beats. They definitely sound much, much better that the less expensive Sony stereo earbuds I was using. Additionally, they are very comfortable. Despite the size of the earpieces, they are very light and I have fallen asleep with them on my head. They most certainly meet my needs.
Excellent headphones.......2007-08-02
Bought these for my son as replacement for his ipod earphones after seeing my son-in-law using his for pro music applications. Sound great, whether using them with his ipod or on my computer. Love the long coiled cable and professional design. Would recommend to all.

Customer Reviews:
Simple to use cross platform network card.......2006-07-27
The internal network interface of my laptop was damaged. Versus fixing it, I ordered this card. Getting it to work under XP SP2 was effortless. You plug in the card and boot up. XP detected the card and fired it up. Once configured, it asked me to reboot. After the boot, the card fired up and showed up like any other NIC. I was able to re-name it to NETGEAR...
Performance has been very good too. I also like the fact that it doesn't have a dongle. I hate those things.
Highly recommended for those who need a 10/100 low power NIC.
Not Compatible with Windows 2000/XP, HORRIBLE Tech Support - AVOID!!.......2006-07-10
I had this adapter running in my the Cardbus slot of my Windows 98 computer and it ran fine. I installed it on my Windows 2000 laptop. Well, my first sign of trouble was a warning popup when I installed the drivers that the drivers were not certified by Microsoft. So, imagine my shock when my brand new computer constantly got Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) crashes. Big blue screen, loss of data, computer freezes tight, power button inoperative, and when you have to use a pin to press that tiny little laptop reset button on a brand new computer, well, we all know that's when you're in Computer Hell.
I'm a Microsoft Certified Professional so I was able to narrow down the source of the problem. After definitely identifying the FA511 as the culprit, I contacted Netgear's online tech support. And that's when things really started to get ugly.
It took forever for Netgear to finally give me an answer. This was after days of inactivity, wildly inappropriate responses, and repeatedly requesting same information from me.
Finally, Netgear escalated the problem to their next level of tech support and I was shocked to read their solution: "This is a Windows issue regarding permissions and ***16 BIT*** compatibility mode" While they were vague as to the exact nature of the problem, and contradicted themselves as to whether compatibility mode had to be enabled or disabled, their solution was straightforward: I was directed to a Microsoft Knowledge Base article which tells you how to enable Compatibility Mode - and for 16-bit compatibility mode I had to make my nice clean Windows 2000 computer compatible with Windows 95 (yes, ninety-five).
So, while the FA511 hardware is a 32-bit Cardbus adapter, apparently their drivers are 16-bit!!! No wonder the FA511 was never certified for Windows 2000. And I wouldn't trust it for Windows XP either.
There are other Ethernet adapters out there by 3COM, Belkin, Linksys, SMC, and Xircom that work flawlessly with Windows 2000/XP by companies that will respond to your questions. Go get them. Avoid the FA511.
Works great.......2004-11-21
I didn't buy this on Amazon but wanted to say this device is great. The only bad thing was MY laptop is old! Can't go wrong with this one.
simple, and work great with linux.......2004-07-12
this is very simple installation in linux (uses tulip_cb)
just plug in, and works
and no gripe at all for months running 24/7
that's all

There's a certain something in the old-fashioned designs for radios. Amazon.com Product Description
Bring back the good old days with the Teac GF-330. All the style and class of a classic design are wrapped around a powerful, and very modern, set of functions. The CD player features a front-loading CD drawer and precision 3-beam laser pickup. Modes include play/pause, stop, music skip (up/down), all of which are viewable on a 2-digit LED display. The cassette deck offers play, rewind, fast forward, pause, and stop/eject modes, as well as recording--for dubbing your favorite CD tunes to tape. Tune in your favorite swing or big-band station on the rotary analog AM/FM tuner. There's also a headphone jack for private listening enjoyment. The main attraction of the GF-330, however, is the thoroughly retro belt-driven turntable. Grab those old 45s and LPs out of the basement and take a trip back in time. The turntable supports 33-1/3, 45, 78 RPM records, so you can play your entire collection. A remote lets you control everything from your retro easy chair.
What's in the Box
GF-330 CD AM/FM Cassette Turntable System, 45-speed record adapter, remote, user's manual.

Amzing Find!!!.......2007-08-27
This Retro beauty tops my wildest expectations! Not only does it have fantastic sound, but it's an absolutely beautiful piece of furniture. It kind of gives a look into the past to a time when workmanship was a source of pride, and ownership of a unit like this was a real event! I can't believe I was able to buy this in today's market at about what it might have cost 50 yrs. ago!!!
FORGET ANY TEAC STUFF, LEAVE IT BEHIND, GET A SONY, YOU'LL BE GLAD YOU DID!!!.......2007-08-25
WE HAD THE UNFORTUNATE EXPERIENCE OF BUYING A VERY SIMILAR UNIT, THE GF-600. AFTER A COUPLE OF YEARS THE CASSETTE RECORDER AND THE CD PLAYER WENT BAD. HERE LATELY THE POWER SWITCH DIED. CRIMINAL CHARGES OUGHT TO BE LEVELED FOR PEDALLING JUNK LIKE THIS.
BTW, I CHALLENGE TEAC TO CALL ME AND MAKE IT RIGHT - 703-878-8952 - I'LL BET THEY WON'T.
I ALSO INTEND TO DISCOURAGE ALL MY FRIENDS FROM PURCHASING ANYTHING FROM TEAC, AND i WISH TEAC AN EARLY BANKRUPTCY.
LIKE I SAID IN THE TITLE, SPEND THE EXTRA MONEY AND GET A GOOD BRAND LIKE A SONY - THEY LAST AND LAST, AND YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED.
Great for Music component!.......2007-08-06
I thought I left a review on this but here it goes in a condense form. Anyone would love this as it plays anything from old 45's to cd's. I got it for an elder friend of mine and He simply Loves it! The sound is great and he was happy to dig up all his old records and play them. Took him down memory lane which was good for his morale.
Pleased with the Teac GF-330.......2007-04-04
It looks good, and sounds very impressive. The best feature is the ease of copying CDs, records, and AM/FM radio progams to tape - great if you have a cassette player in your car. Unlike many similar units, it has a full array of tape deck controls. The biggest problem is the lack of continous playback for records, CDs, and tapes - just stops at the end. Minor quibbles include the lack of tone controls and auxillary input for an i-pod or whatever. A remote control would have been useful. The dark cherry finish may not be to everyones taste.
better than expected.......2007-02-03
I bought this for my wife who is not very picky concerning music quality. Actually, the sound is decent and everything worked well. Even the radio worked similar to other boom box type units. Over all a good unit. Only problem is a noise in playing the record player. This just started and I have not had time to look at it, but sounds like something rubbing inside.
