SD430 Wi-Fi.......2007-09-01
Good camera as it is - fully featured point and shoot (have to like Canon) - low noise at lover ISO - excellent prints for 5MP - body is plasticly (part of Wi-Fi design as per Canon rep.) - Wi-Fi is actually a very nice feature of this camera and it works like a charm. Good camera with a wireless bonus - if you do not care about Wi-Fi, look at other cameras in this price range with features like IS or bigger/wider zoom.
Anyhow this is another Canon well done - 5 star camera - 4.5 for Wi-Fi (had to download a plug for it to work), but it works and it works very well.

Excellent camera.......2007-08-21
Good pictures in low light. I compared the pictures taken with this camera with my friend's Olympus in low light. While the pictures taken with Olympus came out grainy, the Canon one were still sharp. Also, very few pictures got blurred because of camera shake.

Good quality photos, poor Wi-Fi implementation.......2007-08-06
Camera is too large to be considered a true "elph." Doesn't look that attractive with the odd antenna off to the left side. Wi-Fi doesn't even work with Mac OSX so any Mac users out there may want to pass on this one. If you don't mind the slightly larger size, have a computer running Windows OS, and really want a Wi-Fi enabled digicam the sd430 may not be a bad choice (for the under $200.00 price tag)
To me, however, the novelty of being able to transfer photos via an old standard (802.11 b) wireless protocol does not justify the larger size and awkwardness of this camera.

Its a nice camera with good features. The small zoom (3x) is the only downside. Using wireless downloads of photos is great. So far, battery life seems to be fine, but I think i am going to need a spare battery for when I use it for any trips.

Well, canon photo quality is a good start. I bought this camera to upgrade from 3MP SD200. Both take excellent pictures and movies, although it is limited to 1GB file size or roughly 8 minutes.
Now the WIFI feature is the one that stands out from this camera. It works really well, and it is easy enough to get connected. If you want to connect to existing home network with router, just follow the instructions, input SSID and password. Just make sure you enabled ICMPv.4 in your firewall settings or else you get disconnected all the time. For ad hoc connections, I use my laptop's network settings to just pick up ad hoc signals, and you can use it wherever you go just bring your laptop. No problems with wifi connection to printers whatsoever, in fact you don't need to set up anything, it is pre-set to use with pict bridge compatible printers.
Remote capture is also a neat feature, I want to use it for baby monitor so no need to buy an fancy, expensive one.

If you find yourself intimidated by too many functions on the latest high-tech telephones, or you just need something basic, check out the Lucent AT&T 140. It offers a straightforward design, sturdy construction, and an easy-to-read keypad.
Setting up the AT&T 140 was as easy as using the phone itself. We simply plugged the line cord into the wall jack and the phone was ready to go. Two cords are included so you can easily convert from desktop to wall mounting. The handset is sleek and sturdy. The base contains only 14 buttons, including 10 numbers, star, pound, flash, and redial.
The redial memory can accept numbers up to 16 digits long. The number stored in redial can be erased by lifting the handset and pressing any digit. If you subscribe to call waiting, the flash button provides a convenient way to access your incoming call. The large white figures on the buttons are easy to read against the black background.
Despite its simplicity, there are a few useful adjustments you can make on the 140. Receiver and ringer switches are located on the side of the phone and can be set to low or high. The receiver switch lets you select the volume of the caller's voice. The ringer emits a pleasant digital sound at either setting. A switch on the bottom of the phone allows you to choose between tone and pulse. Other features include hearing aid compatibility.
In our tests of the 140, we found the voice quality to be clear, and we did not detect any background interference. The large buttons were comfortable to the touch. Overall, we appreciated the simplicity of the Lucent AT&T 140 and recommend it to anyone looking for a good-quality basic phone. --Emily Bakko

Very good value for money.......2007-08-06
I have been using this system for 2 years, playing through a moderately high quality component stereo system, and I am generally very happy with the quality of sound reproduction. For the price (currently $55) it can't be beat! I did have some quality control problems when I first purchased the system. The original unit transmitted only one sound channel. It was promptly replaced by the manufacturer. After a month the receiver developed a little instability in maintaining the wireless link and was again replaced. Since then I have had no problems with the unit.
No customer support.......2007-03-02
I purchased this product about 4-5 years ago and it has worked fine. One receive unit recently developed a problem which I believe requires repair. Per their instructions, I sent several emails to their customer service department requesting instructions as to how to have the unit repaired. I have not received one reply to my requests. After sending several emails, I must conclude that their customer service department no longer exists. Buy this unit at your own risk as I would no longer anticipate any assistance from this company. Very disappointed.
Excellent feautures and price ratio.......2006-08-04
This device has over a year working and it seems its the first day, it gives good, FM radio quality on the sound, you have to listen very closely to notice ahy distortion whatsoever. Its cheap against a multimedia transmitter $300 to $700, this one cost me 40 bucks but its well worth the money, its like plug and play, you wont need the instruction manual. ITS SO SIMPLE it does what it has to!

I used the US Robotics version of this same product which did work great at first. Later the sound quality degraded to intolerable. As Michael, (after reading his review), I bought the Accurian Accurian HomePlug Digital Audio Receiver / Amplifier & Transmitter which transmits through your homes AC current system for $99. Much better sound and just as easy to use.
Only affordable option!.......2005-12-03
I've been looking into wireless music for months, and decided on this after looking into every option that I could find. I'm happy with my decision! It was the cheapest and easyist way to go, and It works great! The fm transmitter is on the receiver just to let you know. And it doesn't have the best fm transmitting strength. I think its due to the small wire antenna that the fm transmitter uses. I just striped it and attached a old speaker wire to it with a wire nut, and ran it up the wall. The signal is much better now. There is also some background static that you can hear when there is no music. This is the best way to go if you're like me and you rent, and want music in every room of your house. I also have mine connected to my computer with a all-in-wonder type RF remote so I can change the song or select different play lists from any room.
