HP Deskjet 695C its alive!!!!.......2007-06-03

Its a grate pleasure put operative my old printer. My HP Deskjet 695C was my undergraduate tesis printer. I have a lot of bad experiences with original HP Cartriges and i don't want waste more money. For me its a great deal. But the delivery get a lot of hits. But the internal packaging resist and all its ok now after a little bit of cleaning.

HP Deskjet 672C.......2004-01-16

This is a pretty good printer. I've had it for about 4 years now. It is really high-quality and useful. It isn't so good on pictures, but I haven't had a problem with it for a few years. If you get this printer, don't ever get paper too small or too big, it will jam the printer and is hard to fix.

Sometimes, when I try to print blue or green it gives me purple or yellow instead, no matter how many times I get a new ink cartiledge. However, this only started last month, December 2003.

This is overall a very good printer, but with the recent blue and green problems I'll have to give it 4 stars. Thanks for reading my review. I hope it's helpful!

Protect The Environment, Get Horrible Print Quality.......2004-02-11

When I saw this cartridge at Office Depot, I thought it was a great idea. Do a little service to the environment AND save a little money. The concept is great; the quality is terrible. At first I thought they forgot to refill the cartridge, because the print quality was so bad. But it was heavier than my old one. So I did a "clean", and found I had plenty of ink.

It consistently prints like a cartridge with a dirty head--complete with streaks and smudges--yet cleaning it has little effect except to waste ink. Apparently, the remanufacturer does little to ensure quality. They just fill it with ink, maybe dip the head in some cleaner, pack it and ship it: I guess. It would take a lot of convincing to get me to make another go of refurbished inkjet cartridges no matter the cost savings.

Don't waste your time and money!.......2003-03-24

I first bought this product from Office Depot thinking that the quality of the product would be the same as OEM. It isn't! I tried two ink cartridges with no success whatsoever. There are streaks, smudges, and lines across the page. Finally I went back and bought the OEM. Don't believe guarantees will make this the same quality as OEM!

Tempermental.......2006-12-07

I've had this DVD player for over a year now. About 75% of the time it works fine, however, during that 25%, it's a complete PITA. It'll often decide half-way through a movie that it can't read it anymore, even though there are no scratches. Also, despite Panasonic saying it can, it really can't handle DVD-R discs. Often times we've moved DVDs to our laptop and hooked that up to the TV, just to avoid the frustration this player has given us. I'll be replacing it soon.

So I don't sound completely negative, when it does work, it's a great player with a lot of features. Never had any problem with the VCR side, either.

No Regrets As Of Yet.......2006-08-19

I purchased a VCR a couple of years ago and never figured out how to connect it to my TV (while keeping my PS2 connected). So I decided to sell it and to get a combo job. The price and the inclusiveness of various formats is what made me take a second look.

It supports DIVX as well as all of the other popular formats. It was easy to set up (basically take it out of the box and a plug it in to the TV....oh yeah and plug it into an outlet).

Still looking..........2005-12-30

I bought this unit at Best Buy two years ago after lightning destroyed my old VHS player. On sale, $129. It still works as advertised. A few quirks I always forget: Many of the on-screen menu options show up only on the composite video output, so you HDTV component video users can't set the clock without running more wires. Seems like it doesn't play a lot of formats, I often get the old "can't play this disc, please insert another disc". So if Aunt Martha sends you her home movies on DVD+R, you will need another player besides this one. I plan on replacing this combo unit with a more versatile one next year. But, hey, it still works!

Played OK until it broke.......2005-07-22

This was an OK model until the VCR part stopped working a little after a year. I made the mistake of taking it to a Panasonic authorized repair shop where they charged me almost as much as I paid in the first place to fix it. It also took them about 2 months to fix. The sad thing is that within 6 months later it had the same problem.

Since all of the combo players available anymore appear to be pieces of crap made over in Asia I bought a Sony from a retailer that offers an extended warrantee. I figure the extra cost is less then the cost of a repair or a new one, and I will be very surprised if it still works in three years.

REASON FOR 4 STARS INSTEAD OF 5................2005-03-25

I like this VCR/DVD very much, it works very well and the video is 100% clear especially when playing DVD's. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that you can't DUD record from DVD to VCR on this model and also the panasonic customer care center sucks like a straw.
