Small Powerful, Perfect for Me.......2007-06-27

After trying other media players with similar specifications and dealing with among other issues, buggy firmware, poor decoding quality, and lower power output, I am highly impressed with the iAudio media player. It is small and lives up to all its expectations. Fantastic audio quality at about twice the power of anything else on the market, enhancement effects, long battery life, easy transfer of files onto the device (as USB mass storage), and a beautiful screen. The USB host function is great and works quite well (I've used it with my Olympus SP-310 digital camera), as does the radio, and voice recorder. The touch-sensitive interface takes some getting used to, and I use the "Lock" button often, but it still ranks as one of the nicer of the touch interfaces I've used. Over all, pay the extra $20-$30 that this will cost you over the "competition" because it will surely be worth it.

BAD, BAD, BAD!!!!!!!!!!.......2007-06-26

I bought this product in January of 2007...... When I first got it I started having issues with it. I sent it in to get repaired it took about 2 months before I got one back..... The way that they work is when you send your brand new one in they send you an old repaired one back...... When I got the 1st used repaired one, I was having issues with that one as well.... I send that one back in and just recived the 3rd one... well guess what! This one doesn't work either..... I asked for a refund and they told me that it was past the refund time limit.
Everytime I talked with customer service via on line chat they just say send it back, but I was told that I have up until January of 08 that they will fix them for free...... Even though I have not gotten a working one! This MP3 player is defective after my experience of getting 3.... I DON'T recommend this one.....

I like Cowon iAudio 6 very much. The sound is very good and It has many fuctions to use that you can choose to appropriate with your work that you want. I feel comfortable to bringht it with me everywhere. It likes my best friend.

Player is Great, but hope you never need support from COWON..........2007-03-10

This would have received a 5 if it weren't for the horrible customer service from COWON. Buyer beware, and set your expectations very low for their support. At all times I treated them with respect, never cursed or acted irate, which I must say was very difficult to do considering the way they treated me, a new customer.

1) The only way to "speak" with support is through online chat or email. They do not have working phone numbers for support.
2) I received 1 player, DOA. Replacement player also DOA. It literally took 4 weeks before I received a working player since they do not offer cross shipping for defective products (they email a UPS ground shipping label, once unit arrives it sits in their queue for 5 business days, then they send the replacement via UPS ground)
3) It does not matter how professional you treat the support team, they will treat you like you are inconveniencing them.
4) They will not let you speak with a supervisor, they can only relay your chat to them
5) Check the Better Business Bureau rating, its currently an F

I really don't like being so negative about COWON but this whole experience left me wishing they didn't have such a technological superior product. I encouraged them to alter their treatment of their customers, never received a response. Even sent them a letter, no response.

Their players are great, the customer support is the worst I have ever encountered.

If you are considering a 20" TV/DVD Combo, don't hesitate........2001-09-15

This product is exceptional in its quality and performance. I had originally thought I could save by buying a KONKA. My mistake! AMAZON issued return credit promptly and I immediately purchased the Panasonic. I've had a portable DVD for a few years and decided to upgrade to a bigger picture. This Panasonic has features I will never use but the ones I use are just what I had hoped for - easy use, good picture and good sound. On the other hand, the KONKA was a piece of junk. Wheather this review is helpful to you makes me "no never mind" but I can assure you that you can trust me more than that "person" from China who said he knows KONKA can be a quality product. He writes alot of reviews, none of which I would trust.

Great Buy!.......2001-06-29

I just bought this tv/dvd combo set a week ago. And so far I've come away really impressed with the visual and audio this baby packs. It was the first dvd player I've ever bought, and naturally I saved money by getting this ([price]Costco) rather then buying a tv and a separate dvd player. Also in my opinion the panablack screen looks crisper and clearer then any other dvd/tv set I've seen(excluding HDTV).The sound is also excellent even impressing my parents with the great sound capabilities. Overal, I would recommend this unit to any dorm or single guy who wants a nice litte dvd/tv set that doens't cost to much and offers great picture and sound. You really can't get a better deal with your money. And this baby packs a lot of features for those of you who would like to add on sound capabilities later. Andrew Hanson

Lux rating is the measurement used to indicate how sensitive a camera is to light, and stands for the level of light reflected off a piece of paper by a candle from one meter away. This cable has a male s-video connector on one end and TWO (count em, 2!) RCA connectors on the other. This cable is not sufficient to convert an S-video signal into composite. So if you are looking for a way to plug your S-video only DVD player into your TV that lacks an svideo port but has a set of free RCA's, this WONT do the trick. The 2 rca's seperate the video signal into black and white and one that is blank. Im guessing it splits the signal's chromanance and luminance between the two rca's... but whatever - it's not gonna do the job I wanted it to do so if you're looking for an s-video to rca adapter look elswhere.

I bought this cable to connect my laptop's s-video port to my TV. I was a bit confused about the whole "two coaxials" thing (my TV only has one RCA video port), but I figured they were just redundant. When I got the cable, I tried each RCA connector with my TV. One gave a black and white rendition of my computer screen, and the other gave me junk.

As it turns out, this cable does not do any signal conversion, per se. All it does is take the two signals on the S-video cable (luminance (Y) and chrominance (C)) and puts these two signals onto 2 separate cables with RCA connectors. It DOES NOT convert the s-video signal to a composite signal, i.e., what you need to plug into the "video" port on your TV. This makes the cable WORTHLESS- no TV (at least to my knowledge) accepts the separate Y and C signals alone with RCA connectors. ...

To make a long story short- this cable will not work to connect your laptop or other s-video out device to most TVs. Don't make the same mistake I did.
