Not a very good product.......2001-11-26

We've had this player for about a year and it has begun to short out. We really didn't use it that often, the only reason we got this one was it was offered with a rebate which put it (at a good price) at the time. Should have waited and done more research.

Sounds okay...but it's design needs work.......2001-11-22

While the sound quality coming out of the devise is okay...the devise its self (...).

First, The battery cover on the back, is only held shut by a little plastic tab, easily broken with moderate use.

Second, There is no USB support for this product. The only way to transfer music is via a slow serial connection.

Third, While it takes only two batteries, it ought to take more. This thing is a major battery drainer, I can only get 3-4 hours of one charge.

Fourth, No backlight LCD screen. Makes it somewhat hard to see what song is selected in the dark.

Fifth, Only 32mb of space on the player, and while you can get more space with smartmedia cards, a 64mb smart media card costs almost as much as the mp3 player its self.

I would not recommend this player to anyone, unless you are sort of pressed on money. But there are other mp3 players under 200 dollars that are a lot better quality and have more features.

GREAT MP3 Player, just short on memory.......2001-10-25

When I first bought the device, I couldn't figure out how to download songs into the player. I spent 30 minutes on hold with the customer service dept. before they explained how to set the parallel port to "ECP MODE".

After that, downloads were not a problem. I was a bit disspointed that 32mb's translates to about 8 songs (max.) But the sound quality is TERRIFIC. One of the nicer features is the built-in equalizer.

When I bought my new computer with Windows Me, I encountered major conflicts with the D-link software. Their customer service suggested I download the D'music software that was tailored for Windows Me. For some strange reason, I could only download music with the D'music software once, before my DELL computer had conflicts with their software. Despite all the trouble I've gone through with this little device, I give it FOUR STARS because D-Link's website now features downloadable software for all platforms (i.e. Windows Me, 2000 etc...) I download a fresh set of songs into my mp3 player daily now.

But if you're thinking about buying an MP3 player, buy one with MORE built in memory - although the cost may be 50-60 dollars more than this one, you should consider the cost of a compact flash card - 32mb... Wouldn't it be easier to just have it built in? The choice is yours!

Be Afraid, Be Very Afraid..........2001-09-15

First of all, I bought this thing on a campus web posting at Illinois Tech.... Even at th[e] low price I still feel like I was ripped off. You might think you're going to go cheap just so you can get an MP3 player in your hands, but you need to steer clear of this one.
1.) Upgrade is limited to another 32MB SmartMedia. 32MB? SmartMedia??
2.) Cards used in the player are permanently UNUSABLE by any other device. Forget sharing it with your cheapo camera.
3.) You think you're willing to deal with the slow parallel transfer rates in exchange for a few more bucks in your pocket? You'll be spending that extra money on AAAs.
4.) But you're thinking you'll be really clever and buy some rechargables, right? Regular recharables are not going to cut it. I had to buy a pair of rechargeable nickel metal-hydrides just to keep up with this power leech, and it still maxes out at 3 hours.
5.) The included software sucks. Big time. And of course, you can't use anything else. I run Windows 2000, and the program shuts down after every song is transferred. Wanna listen to 6 songs? Then open the program up 6 times, penny pincher.
6.) The documentation looks like it was written by a cave man.
7.) You'd get better customer service from a prank caller. First, my parallel cable literally came apart, had to almost go through a senate hearing to get another one sent out. When I contacted them about their non-functional Windows 2000 version of the software, they threw accusations of device conflicts at me. Sadly I ended up giving up the fight with the resilient teenage customer service rep and can only offer these warnings to you.

Perfect for taking just 4" x 6" pictures..........2005-03-24

I recommend for those who like using APS cameras to first try the one-time use verisons before buying this one. I have used two one-time use Kodak Advantix cameras, 35 mm single use, Poloraid instant camera, and 28 mm or 110 Kodak Cameo Camera. But I seem to like having more options and this is what came up. However, the Olympus i Snap APS camera doesn't have the Panamoric view, nor the Print H type available...just the Print C type available and that is 4" x 6" print type available on this camera. I remember paying alot to have a few panamoric prints being processed and that didn't come cheap. So, if you want three Print types available, then buy a used Kodak Advantix Camera instead of this one. Also, I think the resulting prints depends on what brand name film cartidge you use, the lighting, and how the exposed film is temporaily stored before it is taken in to be processed.

Stylish but bad pictures.......2003-04-22

I think that this is a terrible camera. Even though it is very stylish, it takes bad pictures. Even if you have bright lighting the pictures look dark. I would not suggest buying this camera.

Hip and Stylish Camera.......2001-08-22

Even at the age of 12, I think this camera would be great for kids, because its easy to reload film into and it's not hard to work with. I think it's a pretty cool camera, because there is color to it instead of the plain old normal gray and black. You don't have to worry about you're kids breaking a hundred dollar camera the first time they you use it. I would give this product a five star rating.

Great Controller for Large Hands.......2002-07-14

This controller is great for large hands because it has wider areas between grips and the buttons are easily accessible. Rubber grip counteracts slipping especailly in those sweaty, high-speed chases! Turbo button is great for boost and rapid-fire. Must have for N64 gamers!

1 star for glowiness.......2002-04-29

This controller really bites. The joystick is very thin and brittle. On most N64 controllers, the joystick gets [bad] and loose after a year or two. On this controller, it get ruined in about a month. Do NOT get this terrible controller unless you just want to stare at it in the dark.

Glow Control Pad.......2001-11-11

Ibought it, it works ok but I haven't tried to make it glow in the dark. My 4 year old likes all the extra buttons on top.

Just Like the Others.......2000-10-22

This controller is just like the advanced control pad. Except, it glows in the dark! The problem is that it might not take anything in the controller except memory cards. I have to shake mine around just for my memory card to work.
