This adapter performed every bit as well as described. I had no issues charging my ipod nano or my Palm Zire 72. There is a light on the adapter to indicate that it is ready to go. It fit very snugly into the lighter socket of my 1991 S-10 Blazer and is no more bulky than any other car adapter I have ever owned. Unbeatable for price and function.

This device works as expected - no issues at all.

I do think the body is bigger than it should be, and can be reduced by 50% or more, with essentially a "stub" containing the USB port.

Still this is priced right and works.

I got 3 hand me down PDA's that I use for travel. This USB charger has been confirmed by Eforcity to universally work for PDA's mention but not for Zune or Ipod. For those they recommended either stand alone Ipod charger or their white Ipod version of USB charger. This one worked fine for my Palm Tungsten, Clie, and handspring.

I bought two cables. The price was very low. They were delivered promptly. And they work quite well. One caveat. Like all Treo cables, they do break easily. Little bits of plastic can chip off the ends. You have to be careful and may have to pry bits out of the Treo female end. But that's why these cables are awesome. They're only 5 bucks. The $30 ones chip and break just as readily.

Panasonic's SL-SX271C meets all the criteria that you should expect from a portable CD player with a car adapter kit. It's lightweight, feature packed, and built to endure the rigors of the road.

To test the SL-SX271C's 40-second memory buffer, we deliberately dropped the player onto the floor from a height of two feet. The silver, plastic case bounced off the carpeting, flipped upside down, and did a belly flop onto the hard floor without skipping.

Impressed by this unit's display of durability and memory protection, it came as no surprise that the SL-SX271C also passed our road test. We plugged the supplied cigarette adapter into our car, slid the cassette adapter into the vehicle's built-in deck, and set the portable CD player on the dashboard. Ten miles and countless potholes later, the music never stopped or even so much as hiccupped. Panasonic's SL-SX27C makes it easy to forget you're listening to a portable music box that costs a quarter the price of a custom-installed CD player. The SL-SX27C is also more theftproof than an in-dash player; just unplug the adapters, slip the SL-SX27C into a handbag or attaché case and lock the car.

The SL-SX27C proved equally impressive when disconnected from a car. Panasonic thoughtfully includes a push button on the center of the CD tray that ejects discs so users don't have to pry discs loose with their fingertips. The battery door, located on the underside of the player, is a snap to open and close as well.

The left side of the compact player houses the headphone jack as well as a thin volume dial, which proved too tiny for an average-size thumb. A Hold switch prevents the player from turning on while it's stored in your backpack or purse. Resume, Random, and Normal switches allows manual access to these functions without relying on the LED and Left/Right disc-skip buttons.

The handsome top panel, with its LED display framed in metallic blue, sports an array of silver buttons, including antishock, skip-left and -right arrows, on/off, pause, and play. In addition, three tiny buttons activate memory/recall, repeat track/repeat all, and an equalizer.

The equalizer offers S-XBS (Super Extra Bass System), which enhances the dynamics of every musical genre from classical to rock. Panasonic also incorporates a Train equalization mode and suggests you use it "to avoid annoying other passengers with noise from your headphones while riding the train, or to reduce fatigue when listening for a long period of time." Unfortunately, the difference between Train and Normal equalization modes was just barely discernible.

The SL-S222's sound was impressive, thanks to Panasonic's acclaimed 1-bit MASH (multistage noise-shaping) technology and its comfortable headphones. The headphones outperformed the tinny, bass-anemic variety that come packaged with most portable CD players.

As for programming features, the SL-SX27C has them covered as well, enabling users to program up to 24 tracks in any desired order. Panasonic's plainly written, well-illustrated instructions, and intuitive user interface helped us program an 18-track CD in preferred order in less than 20 seconds.

Great portable CD player.......2005-04-11

This CD player is small, has good sized navigation buttons, and works well. The hold switch is convenient so that the player will not accidentally turn on when the buttons are pressed while in the case, or being bounced around in a backpack.

This player also has EQ presets so that you can increase or decrease the Bass, and also relieve your ears for long periods of listening.

I got this CD player a couple of years ago, so I would recommend buying a newer player that has MP3 capability, because chances are, you'll eventually buy or download digital music through iTunes, Naptser, allofmp3, or musicmatch.

This CD player has never skipped for me when I was out running or carrying it in the car. (That does not include when scratches are on the CDs.) The CD player has a 40 second memory buffer so that if the CD player is bumped too much it will read from its memory so that the song doesn't skip.

I got it as a gift about 7 years ago. it was great, and the car adapter really came in handy (on a ford, by the way, in case you read the one star reveiws) it finally broke about a week ago, because somebody silled on it, and i also dropped it plenty of times.

My loyal old CD Player.......2003-11-06

I love this CD Player. It has so far lasted me for about for about four years, and only broke once. The only problem I have had with it so far is that the CD open switch can sometime slide open, but the CD usually stays on the disc holder and very rarely comes out of its sturdy little resting spot. However I cannot say anything about the headphones because I got a pair that I have always used, and have become used to instead of using the padded ones that came with it. However my sister uses them and loves them.

This is the biggest wast of money. It takes forever to change songs. Alot of times it stops half way through a song. i strongly advise not to buy it. The tape and headphones eaven broke within the first 6 months. never drop it

This CD player was great for the 3 months I had it. It was great never skipped at all NEVER skipped once. But when i dropped it on a hard-wood floor from 1foot up it shattered into a million pieces. It might have just been an awkward position but if it broke from a standstill then it is guarrenteed to break from a drop while jogging.
