I have wasted hours trying to get this printer to work properly.
Even when it was brand new, and sort of worked, the print quality was terrible with fuzzy characters and colors that were way off. And yes, I was using the right kind of paper.
I have gotten about thirty barely usable pages out of this printer. After that it began to malfunction.
Xerox did its customers and itself a big disservice by ever selling this piece of junk.

This printer is (was) the work of the devil!
Yes, the print quality was decent enough, but unless you had all four colour cartridges loaded it would make you go through hell to print out even a single sheet. You want to print out simple black and white text? Well, if you are out of Cyan, you are out of luck - the machine will not cooperate willingly, you have to trick it into working.
This machine was designed as cripple-ware, all so that Xerox can force feed you their grossly overpriced ink.
Even if you are offered one free, don't touch it!
The two years I suffered with this unit has made me suspicious of all Xerox products...
Too namy problems, even at this price........2002-10-30
I bought this printer from Amazon.com two years ago. Things were fine at first; installation was easy and print quality was good.
The first problems arose when I tried to connect it with its USB port. The issue was solved through Xerox's website, but periodic crashes and lockups are the norm now.
Over time, print quality has deteriorated dramatically. I've experienced printhead and ink clogging/drying problems that have put me in the market for a new printer.
I bought the M750 because it was relatively inexpensive and looked like it would remain [inexpensive] to operate since ink cartridges could be replaced individually by color. The short, two-year lifetime doesn't seem very cost-effective now.
do not waste your $ no matter how cheap it is.......2002-10-04
this thing [is bad]. it's one of the worst printers i've ever dealt with.
the on/off switch does basically nothing. to "reboot" the printer you have to unplug it from the wall. this has to happen often because it doesn't play nice with the computer so there are often errors during printing.
it will not print pdf files on 8.5"x11" correctly. for some reason it scales the page so that it's bigger than the paper so a bunch of stuff gets cut off.
after printing about 25 pages in a 30 page job, with brand new ink cartridges, it said - suddenly - i can't find the print heads. please install new print heads. we haven't even come close to 10000 pages (which is supposed to be the life of the print head). the print heads are in there. i followed recommended cleaning techniques from the web - tap the print head 20-30 times on a wet towel. i removed and reinstalled the ink
cartidges about 100 times. all to no avail. the printer just keeps flashing red ("fast flashing" which means there is no ink or no print head installed which is completely false).
i tried switching from mac to windows. no better. the windows driver software (from Xerox) doesn't know how to handle the printer in an error state, so when you try to get the status - hoping to run head cleaners or something - it just crashes - lowlevel windows crashes.
ack.
i hate it. i'm going to throw the hunk of junk out the window into the street right now.

This printer is good value for its price. Its B/W print quality is very good. Color print quality is also pretty good. Its a good printer for home or home/office. However this printer does not support Post Script. So you won't be able to print Acrobat pdf files.

I used to loathe walking, until I bought this CD player...now I look forward to my daily walk/jog. It's very affordably priced, considering the quality. With an excellent sound, it's loud enough (especially if you wear a cap over the comfortable headphones) without being a hazard...you will still be aware of traffic sounds, etc.
I use it in a belt pouch, so the surface still has it's pristine silver finish (re a complaint from a previous reviewer) and it's simple enough for even a "low-tek" like me to operate. This is a great gizmo ! I've never felt better...20 pounds gone and counting. Thank you Panasonic !

This is my third Panasonic portable CD player. I've seen the product evolve and improve over two years, and my impression is generally favorable. I use the player a lot (>2 hrs/day), and I take it with me wherever I go. Here, in a nutshell, are my positive remarks:
- sound: as far as I could tell, the electronics is identical to the previous generation of Panasonic players (eg. SL-360x) in every respect. Identical functions, identical mechanical parts. As a result, the sound quality is similarly good, although the output power is not very high. The anti-shock memory has never failed me so far. The headphones provided with the player are large and cumbersome for jogging, but are a sonic improvement over the previous ones. Nevertheless, classical music lovers should get better ones, because the high frequency response is mediocre.
- batteries: as in previous models, they last a long time. With Duracell batteries, battery life is ~30 hours. Rechargeable batteries can be used, and recharged with the provided adapter without taking them off the player.
- ergonomics: new and improved. The CD won't accidentally start when put into a backpack, since the button are at alevel with the case. The jogger handgrip is comfy, adjustable and the buttons are easy to reach even when jogging. The overall look is also very pleasing.
And now the *bad* remarks:
- paint: the silver plastic of the scaffold is very delicate and scratches easily. The CD player should be kept in a well-padded pocket of your jacket or packpack. Otherwise it will wear very quickly. In this respect, I liked the old black Panasonic better: uglier, but more sturdy too.
- mechanics: the mechanics is *very* delicate. If you regularly listen to music while jogging, your Panasonic will display the message "sorry" more and more often, and won't play the desired track. The problem lies with the mechanical actuators of the optical laser reader, which are damaged by repeated shocks.
My final advice is: if you want a portable CD player for "light" use (e.g., listening while studying on campus), this is an ideal buy. For for heavier use, go for thougher models, like the panasonic SL-SW505J. The price difference is worth the added reliability.
cd player with alot of twist!.......2000-08-13
after waiting for two weeks until i got it three days ago, it was great! i had to have someone purchased it online for me in the states then have it shipped to the philippines and it was really worth the wait. i can't make it skip! been tapping, shaking and slapping it...it really won't skip! this is a must have low cost portable cd player. there are only two things that i wish it had, one is the car adapter kit and the other is the smaller adjustments on the jogger grip (we asians have smaller hands that is why). other than that, the player is perfect for people on a tight budget. by the way, it also delivers clear sound quality even on pirated cd's (havn't tried it on cdr's but i'm hoping it will work). i've been wanting to have a portable cd player that has a tuner as well but hey why ask more when i can only afford 70 bucks! overall, this panasonic slsx275 is a portable cd player worth it's price. if you're looking for a cd player that is branded with good quality at a low price, go for this one, you won't regret it! better get one now before it goes out of stock again! -- hi hon! this is a nice product considering the fact that there are so many of them lying around town! also the jogger grip really proves useful if u happen to be a jogging fan like me! not only did it give me a good performance during jogging but was also helpful when it came to a little off road driving. but on very bumpy roads it is a little delicate so u better have a neat grip over it
