The FlexSwitch 600XC 2Fx and 4Fx are 2 and 4-port Fast Ethernet fiber switches that can be used as a backbone switch for connecting switched or shared segments using fiber. They maximize and extend network distances and can also be used as media converters to convert half/full duplex operations and multimode, single-mode, short-wavelength, long-wavelength, SC and ST fiber options.Using the store-and-forward technology with 1-Mbyte buffer memory, the FlexSwitch 600XC 2Fx and 4Fx support a full wire-speed of 148, 800 64-byte packets per second (pps) simultaneously on all ports. As Layer 2 switches, each port of the FlexSwitch 600XC 2Fx and 4Fx is capable of MAC address learning and aging with support for up to 1, 000 MAC addresses, as well as packet filtering and forwarding. The FlexSwitch 600XC checks all packets and discards illegal or corrupted packets thus providing fragment-free packet forwarding and enhancing the overall network performance. Using the 802.3x advanced flow control specification, the FlexSwitch 600XC controls the flow of data in order to ensure data integrity. Fast Ethernet fiber ports are available with SC or ST connectors for multimode or single-mode fiber. Distances of 412 m in half-duplex and up to 58 km in full-duplex are supported.

Best sport headphones I've owned and now they're gone! T_T.......2006-08-04

I bought my Panasonic HS35 folding headphones back in 2000 when my second or third set of yellow Sony folding sport headphones broke. The HS35's lasted me comfortably for six years of regular office, gym, and travel use. The volume control did eventually bind up a bit (after 4 -5 years), and was finally its achilles heel (the cord snagged on a chair while I was getting up and ripped apart at the volume control). Now they don't seem to be sold any more, and I can't find any others that use the same earbud design. I'm not a big fan of the common "vertical" earbud design used by Sony and others, and all the clip-on/behind the neck designs rub uncomfortably against my glasses. Nobody is likely to even read this review, I just felt they deserved a good eulogy. RP-HS35, RIP!

Aug 8, 2006 update: Panasonic does have another model that is very similar to this set of headphones and still available - the RP-HX30. I definitely prefer the simpler design of the RP-HS35 and its smaller inline volume control, but the earbuds are identical and in virtually the same position/orientation on the RP-HX30. Contrary to their only Amazon review, they are very easy to assemble/convert. They are no longer available on Amazon, but I found them on sale at Fry's for $9.90. Seems like a clearance price, though...I doubt they will be around for much longer, so I grabbed two.

Sad News.......2004-02-07

I purchased this item as a family fun form of entertainment. The kids (4 and 6 yrs.) were so excited to get it all set up to sing. Unfortunately, the monitor didn't work at all. We could hear the music, but the words were all squiqqly and fuzzy. My husband and I question the quality control work that is done before this item is packed in its box. Also, who knows when Target will receive this item again? It hasn't come in since right after Christmas. After reading the reviews below on this item, I will probably purchase a better quality brand.

My Kids received this karaoke machine as a present on Friday, January 2, 2004. By Tuesday, January 6, 2004 - the monitor no longer worked. Overall, very disappointed with the item.

Got this for a family memebr for Christmas. Was used once and the speaker gave out. The speaker was weak to begin with and then started to rattle with any songs that had bass. Bad quality machine.

I bought this as a Christmas gift from Target. After one day the CD player just stopped working. I took it back to Target for an exchange, but they were out. I was searching the web to find another, and was surprised to find a comment on this site with exactly the same problem. I think I will look for something besides Memorex.

Worked for about 23 hours.......2003-12-29

I bought this machine for my son for Christmas. It worked great Christmas day and he had a lot of fun. Until it completely stopped playing any CD the next day. Then it wasn't so fun. I'll be returning it and trying a different brand.

This is a very good pda. I actually got it at circuit city, not on amazon.com, but still they are the same product. anyways this is a really good pda. it doesn't have internet and software connections, so if your looking for a pda with that you should look for something else. otherwise, this is a good product for if you want to be organized. for instance it has a phone book, even with the tabs so you can skip to a certain letter. Also it has a to do list, and you can check them off once you have done it. also it has a memo area where you can just write down quick memos. Also it has a planner where it gives you the whole month view. Another thing i like about this is that it lets you view what you have written. you don't even have to click on it. it shows you the first line that you have written, on the bottom of the screen. Also it has an area where you can set up things like when you want the week to start, sound on or off, when the auto shut off should kick in, and the format that you want the date set in. Also it has an erea where it shows you your memory usage. Overall this product is great for those of you that want to get organized. I would really recomend buying it. it is good fro those of you just starting to get into the PDA "thing" . BUY IT BUY IT BUY IT!!!!! c u l8er

Like a 20 year old car ..........2001-12-11

If you own a 15-20 year old car, you will like this thing. Like an old car, the DV1 is quirky, but because I am more focused on cost (and I have never used a more expensive PDA or owned a new car), I am willing to put up with the shortcomings. It is only an organizer, you can not add software, but that is all I need. My DV1 has never died the big death (though you can see others have), but I can tell it is cheaply made (poor fitting parts). I have had some troubles with syncing with Outlook. I have leared, you have to pay attention to the settings on both DVsync and Companion Link, and still I am not sure why it does what it does. But on the whole I feel ok about syncing now. Outlook is the main reason I got this thing (I am finally using Outlook's calender in a shared setting). And the DV1 is ok for Outlook (maybe only Outlook), it transfers todo items, calender and contacts from (only) your main or root contacts folder. I have tried Royal's PIM for a different organizer, and I prefer Outlook. The DV1's form factor is pretty good, it is small enough to carry comfortably in a coat pocket, but just large enough to be easy to use. I never use the detachable keyboard, and while I see where it might make some data entry tasks easier, it makes others harder, so I feel no great desire to learn how to use it. If you need to take your Outlook information with you and even add a bit to it from the field, but you don't want to pay for anything else, this could be a good organizer for you.

Great for starters.......2001-10-22

It has the essential PDA features -- touch screen input, hot synchs with the computer, 1 MB of memory, planner, memo, to do lists, time, currency converter, attaches to a keyboard... I got mine as a gift just before I was about to buy a popular brand and I am so greatful I got this for free because now I know the popular brand is hyped. There are some problems though. The unit hangs once in a while. The screen is smaller than the popular brand by about an inch. And the backlighting is not as clear as the one on the cellphones. In fact, it is hard to read in the dark. It also has no internet capabilities. But somebody graduating from the pocket planner should be okay with that. The only other major hitch is the 1 MB memory. But I think that shouldn't be a cause to worry if you regularly hot synch with your computer like I do.

Awesome Organizer - Royal Davinci DV1.......2001-06-12

Kudos to Royal on their new line of PDA's (DV1,DV2,and DV3). Small, portable, easy to use. While there is no graffiti language input, I found the on-screen keyboard quick and easy to use. This unit is excellent as an organizer, but lacks the ability to download software....

All units come with a docking station, external keyboard, and leather case (case is sent free from Royal when the registration card is submitted), and software for organizing and syncing.

I think Royal has done an excellent job of providing a quality unit. .... I found this an outstanding value....

I also was able to sync with my computer with no problem....

Bottom line... most people never use the "extra" features of the more expensive models, so why waste your money? My advice...go buy one, try it out....I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
