Optics and Resolution
Featuring a CCD sensor with 2 million effective pixels, the FinePix A203 delivers a wide range of detail and color (with images up to 1,600 x 1,200 pixels) and prints up to 8 by 10 inches. The FinePix A203 features a fast f2.8 Fujinon lens with a 3x optical zoom and a 2.5x digital zoom for a 7.5x total zoom. Its lens focal length is equivalent to 38-114mm on a 35mm camera.

Storage and Transfer
The FinePix A203 is one of the first digital cameras to be compatible with the new XD memory card. Comparable in size to a penny and weighing less than 1/10th of an ounce, the new XD memory card is not only currently the smallest image-storage medium, but it also uses less power for better battery performance and has faster data transfer rates than other memory cards. The included 16 MB XD card will store approximately 25 images at fine mode and 39 images at normal mode.

To transfer images to your computer, simply attach the included USB cable between your PC and your camera--your computer should automatically recognize the camera and let you move the pictures to your hard drive.

Movie Mode
In movie mode, the FinePix A203 produces digital videos (with no sound) in QVGA (320 x 240) format for movies approximately 60 seconds in length at 10 frames per second. The limited resolution of your movies guarantees that this feature won't replace your camcorder, but it's perfect for when you just want to capture a quick movie and e-mail it to a friend or relative.

Power
The FinePix A203 is powered by two AA batteries (alkalines are included). We recommend getting a set or two of rechargeable nickel metal hydride (NiMH) batteries and a charger. A digital camera will kill a set of alkaline batteries extremely quickly, especially if you're using the camera's LCD display, so they aren't recommended except in a pinch.

At 3.8 by 2.5 by 1.4 inches and 5.1 ounces (without battery), the FinePix A303 is an easily pocketable point-and-shoot camera.

Great digi camera.......2006-06-23

Yes, there are better digital cameras out there but for the price (I paid $100 for it 2 years ago!) and the quality of pictures, which is surprisingly good, and because it IS tiny (I often carry it with me everywhere), I have to say that I really love this Fuji camera. Check out my pictures of my recent trip to Mexico. I had three cameras, two film cameras (including the amazing Olympus IS-50 ZLR) and the A203, and the latter's images, though a bit soft, held up pretty well against the photos from my 35mm cameras.

Good reliable camera.......2003-11-20

This is a great camera, but the only problem is that its out dated. There are better, faster, and more stylish camera's out there now. But from when i bought it, till now, it has given me no problems.

I bought this camera and regret it since returning it will cost a huge restocking cost (i didn't buy it at amazon). For the same price as this A203...you can find the 3mpix version the A303. So why does Fuji even make this A203? I'm not sure. A good price for this camera would be (One hundred ninety nine dollars).

As for the camera itself, its picture quality is impressive...but the most annoying characteristic is its around 4-second delay after taking each picture. That means you cannot take pictures in rapid succession. Aside from that, it's controls are very easy to use, battery-life is excellent, and its compact size make it nice camera...but do yourself a favor and buy the A303. Might as well get 3mpix for the same price as 2mpix.

Another thing about this camera is that it is one of the few that is Made in Japan. So there is no cheap Chinese or Mexican labor involved in manufacturing this camera.

Its a nice camera, compact, and the quality of pictures is sharp & very good. I shopped a lot of cameras and brought earlier sony & returned it & brought this one. This is pretty good in indoors as well as outdoors. The memory is pretty good very fast. For the price, it has lot of features & very handy.
I recomend this to people to also wants the quality of indoor shots good & outdoor ofcourse is good in most cameras

Great Monitor.......2004-01-26

Superb monitor.

Great picture. Great colors. Great refresh rate.

ONly possible inus is that it takes up alot of room so some might not love it as much as I do but the display on this monitor is flawless. One day MAYBE flat panels will be able to offer the kind of resolution that this monitor does but not anytime in the near future.... I would absolutely recommend this monitor.

This so-so monitor is over-rated by consumer.
The price is CHEAP compared to the other 22" (even with other NEC 22"s)
Problem is very obvious, geometry and convergence at any resolution.
Move to higher res. and text will become blurry.
Very good for playing games (low resolution like 800x600 or 1024x768). Not recommended if you want to use higher than 1280x1024 res for regular use (Internet, word, etc.)
In other words, this would make a good monitor for my parents.

What else can I say? This is an excellent monitor. I think the picture is superior to other flat screen monitors, who shall remain nameless. Very bright, very crisp, and very adjustable - surprisingly so, in fact. Set the color temp. to 6500k, it's great. Oh, and this thing is truly flat. Recommended for video and CADD drafting.

Two Years of Excellent Pix, then it will break.......2000-11-29

I have bought two of these. The first lasted exactly two years, then stopped working. I bought another one, because the pictures it takes under almost all circumstances are fantastic. It worked for exactly two years, then ....broke! Must be planned obsolescence. Anyway, I am now shopping for a Minolta or Olympus, which hopefully will last longer. I would have given this product 5 stars for picture quality, but have deducted two because of its lack of durability.

great all conditions camera for backpackers.......2000-09-06

having taken this camera on several backpacking excursions, short and long, i have found it to be both reliable and easy to use in just about any situation. i have taken the 105WR through the silty waters of the Paria river, AZ, used it in downpours, fallen in quicksand with it strapped to my pack...and it still continues to produce incredibly clear photos. however, the camera is not always color accurate due to it's focal averaging system (hence the 4 instead of 5) but for a light, DURABLE point and shoot i couldn't ask for any better.

I've read the other's comments regarding this mouse, and all I can say is that after HEAVY gaming over the past 18 months this mouse has yet to fail me. The one and only negative I have to report is that ocassionally when I start the fan it will "whine" for a bit, but usually after a few user-induced "smacks" on my mousepad it will clear. Beyond that it's been awesome. I've owned more than one Razer "gaming mouse" and the Nyko compares extremely favorably - even more so when you consider the cost. IMHO, this is about as good a value in the optical mouse category as there is right now.

this is a good mouse for gaming untill it breaks it took about a month 4 me untill the laser started to break. but the fan never broke even on high for the enitire month i keep my computer on..

I just bought this mouse the other day mainly because I am a power computer user and a simple mouse will just not do. Especially if you are working with the mouse for more than ten hours per day.
Anyway, my only complain thus far is that the USB Cable is way too short. I am not sure if this mouse was intended for notebooks or what, but the cable is fairly short. I lucked out because I have two open USB ports in front of my machine but this was the first time that I've actually had to plug the mouse into those slots and not on the back of it.

Some people are complaining about how it stops working after some time... I am hoping I don't suffer the same wrath. However, the price is fairly reasonable so I do not think that it was a mistake buying it.

I am hoping that Logitech or Microsoft take up this idea and actually realse their own versions of this must have gadget. I just hope they don't jack up the prices to something ridicilous. Until then, Nyko Airflo will do.

Died after 4 months..........2005-04-19

It was a great mouse while it worked. It just died the other day, refused to work. Now I have to use this logitek mouse... which is a nice mouse, but I miss the air cooling! Seriously, if you buy this mouse, be prepared to love it and then have it die on you for no reason. My palms feel overly sweaty now. I wish I never got it in the first place, so I wouldn't know what I'm missing right now. Unless you want to go through a few of these per year, I suggest you stay away. Good idea, crappy quality. I wish logitech would copy this idea...

Great mouse ergonomically speaking..........2005-03-29

So far so good! I love my NYKO Mouse!

This mouse seems marketed toward the kids/game market and the low price almost made me think it was low-end junk. Thankfully I purchased it! Working in the fast-paced graphics/advertising industry, my standard Logitech optical mouse was killing my wrist and forearm. I knew I needed something more ergonomically shaped without being too wide or heavy. TA-DA: The NYKO Mouse!

Though it's sorta rugged looking, the rubbery surface allows for easy grasp with just a feathers touch ironically. No more "clinching" and sweating to position the thing. This one glides and fits wonderfully in the hand. The hour glass shape is perfect and not too small, not too fat or wide. And it slides effortlessly across my hard plastic mouse pad or table top.

The center scroll bar is more recessed than other mice and fits my finger and hand structure far better. The click buttons are snappy but not stiff. The NYKO mouse is far more balanced and responsive than others I've used. Though I've heard some game users talk about unresponsiveness problem, I've not experienced this in my field of work. The optical resolution is great! No more gaps, dead spots and lost cursers.

Regarding the fan, I've only turned it on once or twice and don't really it need so far. But as an option and it runs very quietly. The red lighting eminating from the side fan holes, etc. is sorta weird, and distinctly derived from the gaming scene, but ok.

In general I think this product is marketing to the game user, and professionals working in Design/Animation/DTP/IT etc. don't know about it. I am very happy and have recommended the NYKO mouse too any power users needing the comfort of a professional mouse at a great price!
