I thought that these would make a good pair of surrond sound speakers as no wiring would be required. However, the transmitter kept automaticallly turning off even when the sound was on. Even when they were on, there was quite a bit of background noise.

What a great find for a simple home speaker system........2001-05-24

I was looking for a simple, yet quality, set of speakers to go with our PC-based DVD system. The wireless nature of these speakers was a real selling point for me as I didn't want to have to worry about running wires and I wanted to be able to easily reposition the speakers. The only down side I've found in my use of these speakers is that when I put them in a new location I sometimes have to play with the direction they are pointing to get an optimal signal. I am considering purchasing more of these to use on my home office computer.

Bought a 16x internal DVD from Pacific Digital. Don't know if it wa this one or not. First one died within 30 days. They sent me another that wouldn't burn DVD's. Can't get their tech support on the phone. Finally threw it out. Save your money. Buy a name brand like Memorex or Pioneer etc. This stuff is the cheapest Chinese junk on the market.

This is a pretty nice system that I am happy with. There are so many choices out there, it is hard to choose. Overall, I really like the quality of the Bell phones. The batteries do seem to last much longer than the cheap phones and they are built sturdier. As for the features....it seems to have what everyone else is offering now-a-days (which is really a lot) so there is not much discrepancy there. I really love the Pearl color...it is so refreshing....in a world of black phones! The only reason I gave it a 4 star rating instead of the 5 star rating....is because YES it does have SPEAKERPHONE....however the speakerphone is integrated into the base and not the actual handset. I am fine with that....as the flipside is..it actually has better speakerphone capabilities than if it were built into the phone...IE: better, greater range/pick up/clarity etc....so it is hasn't been a problem for me.

Each of the two speakers in the NX-PRO80C package is outfitted with a large, 8-inch titanium-anodized, injection-molded woofer with a durable rubber surround and a 1-inch liquid-cooled, titanium-dome tweeter. The tweeters pivot so you can aim them toward your primary listening position(s).

With in-ceiling speakers, the ceiling and the space behind it actually serve as a speaker cabinet, resonating with lower (bass) frequencies that would be lost without the focusing a cabinet provides. As such, the speaker depth is just 4 inches, yet they still deliver a nearly full-range 40 to 22,000 Hz frequency response. Mounted flush to the ceiling, they occupy absolutely no shelf space. Replacement Adapter For Good Price.......2007-03-14

One of my pet peeves is how much it costs to replace an AC adapter for an electronic device if the original becomes lost or broken. And, of course, each one is proprietary to that device so you can't just use any adapter you happen to have lying around.

My review isn't so much about the adapter itself (after all, it either works or it doesn't) but about the price - about a third of what it would have cost to replace it elsewhere. Good job, Amazon!

Not bad, but not great........2004-08-21

The Night Owl Aero is a pretty good low end night vision scope. Unfortunately, there are a few annoying design flaws and limitations with this particular model.

For one, this device can only be used properly if you are right handed. The grip for the camera requires you to hold it with your right hand in order to be able to press the buttons to turn the camera on and activate the illuminator. This isn't a real problem for me, but if your left handed, this isn't a good choice for you.

Second, the lense cap (which you must keep on whenever the camera is in a well lit area to prevent damage to the unit) screws on and off, and is not attatched to the camera via a cord or cable. This makes it very easy to loose it, especially since it and the camera are completely black. If you drop it in the dark, good luck finding it (black objects don't show up well at all, even with night vision).

Furthermore, the infrared illuminator, which is an absoulte necessicity if you want to be able to actually see anything with this unit in very dark areas, only comes on while you hold down a button. This gets very tiring if you are using this unit for extended periods of time. The button is fairly flimsy, and you have to apply a lot of force to it to keep it down. My finger gets pretty sore after holding the button down for a few minutes.

Finally, this unit does not have any autofocus feature. You must constantly turn the front lense to keep the camera in focus if you are scanning an outdoor area. Also, this unit has built in 2.5x magnification which can't be turned off. While this can be handy at times, it limits your field of view and makes it very difficult to walk around while holding the camera as looking at everything through 2.5x magnification is very disorienting.

However, all problems aside, this is a fairly cheap and reasonably sturdy night vision scope. If you plan to use it only for a few minutes at a time and don't want to spend a ton of money on a better model (and you are right handed), this isn't really a bad buy.
